Welcome to Ola Loa Hale!!! (Long Life House) This large three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo is the perfect choice for family and friends traveling together. The home is located in the beautiful Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club, a gated resort community that has long been a priority destination for savvy guests. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the luxurious Kona Country Club, you'll have the picturesque backdrop for all of your Hawaiian adventures.
This third-floor condo has a spacious, open concept design and just under 1200 square feet of living space fully updated in 2022. Many windows and glass sliding doors spotlight gorgeous views throughout the condo. After fun busy days exploring the island, enjoy the peace of mind that you'll be returning to a space fully appointed with everything you need to prepare a relaxed meal at home and just relax!
The kitchen showcases beautiful granite countertops and stainless appliances, including a full-sized refrigerator, range/microwave, and dishwasher, cookware, dinnerware, drink and barware, all small appliances and utensils. Dine outdoors while gazing down a fairway of Kona Country Club’s 18-hole golf course. Tee times for the course, which extends directly alongside the island’s coastline, may be booked directly with KCC. (Unfortunately, no automatic discounts for Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club guests at this time).
In common island style, Ola Loa Hale's ocean view, golf course view, primary king suite is separated from the primary living space by noise-buffering sliding shoji doors. The adjoining remodeled bathroom has a walk-in shower with hand-held shower wand and shower head and stacked, front load, full size washer and dryer. (All detergent is provided for your stay) The courtyard-facing secondary king bedroom enjoys views of flowering trees. The remodeled secondary bathroom also has a tiled walk-in shower with hand held shower wand and shower head.
Sunrise beauty can be viewed from guest room windows and kitchen window over mountain foothills and the sounds of Hawaii’s singing birds are everywhere in the mornings as they wake up. Once up and about, enjoy reading a book or have a cool drink and relax in the comfortable lounge chairs on the large covered lanai and take in the ocean and golf course view. The comfy chairs convert into chaise lounge chairs as well!
Ola Loa Hale's layout maximizes the cooling flow of Hawaiian trade winds to help regulate inside temperature, or use the A/C with separate blowers in living room, both downstairs bedrooms, as well as upstairs bedroom! All rooms downstairs are also equipped with beautiful ceiling fans dropped down from 20 ft. ceilings (and an additional floor fan in loft) to aid in air circulation. Upstairs room also has nice ceiling fan.
The resort sits on 17 beautifully landscaped acres and offers a long list of amazing amenities as well as several ancient Hawaiian archaeological sites located within the grounds. During the day, check out the swimming pool, three lighted tennis courts (and pickleball!), a volleyball court and more. At night, grill up some yummy fish, chicken or steaks on one of the complex’s community barbecue grills or enjoy a leisurely stroll on the oceanside cliff path leading to their private beach. A perfect quiet, private place to enjoy one of Kona's renowned sunsets with a loved one. Nighttime at the resort includes dark skies littered with bright stars.
Guests will have access to all rooms in the space. As well, guests will have access to the community pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, BBQ grills and more.
The resort is very centrally located and just 5 miles from downtown Kona, so just a short car-ride away. Location is also great for when you are ready to venture out and explore the Big Island with all of its shops, restaurants and beaches. Within walking distance is Kahalu'u Beach (nicknamed Snorkel Beach), one of Kona's favorite snorkeling beaches. In quiet times, fish may eat out of your hand, or you may see a protected green turtle surface to eat moss from the rocks at this destination beach. (We suggest wearing reef walking shoes in the water on most beaches here, due to sea urchins and possible coral and lava hiding in the sand). Keauhou Shopping Center, a small shopping center complete with a pharmacy, grocery store, movie theater and a variety of restaurants is also just a short walk (or drive) away. It also sponsors an organic farmer’s market every Saturday. As well, you're only minutes away from Keauhou Bay, a common launching site for many of the Big Island's aquatic excursions where you can charter catamaran rides, Manta Ray watching tours and more. You can head south to reach Honaunau Bay (Two-Step) and Captain Cook within about 25 minutes or take advantage of fast and convenient access to Queen Kaahumanu Highway to head north to the renowned white sand beaches near Waikoloa. Looking for a lengthier adventure? Explore the ranch lands near Waimea, botanical gardens outside Hilo or Volcanos National Park, all in less than a two-hour drive from the resort.
Included in the cost of your rental is a nearby reserved parking spot, making parking a breeze at any time.
As well, you're a short walk from one of the Kona Trolley stops. Public transportation choices in the area include the Hele-On bus system, taxi services, and most major ride-share companies (Uber, Lift). For your convenience, our condo is stocked with beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, beach coolers, tennis rackets/balls and pickleball rackets and balls.
At Ola' Loa Hale, we provide an array of essentials including paper towels, Kleenex, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, pump hand soap, handmade bath soap, shampoo/conditioner, baggies, aluminum foil, cling wrap, spice rack, Brita water filter pitcher, first aid kit, and trash bags.
Receive peace-of-mind knowing that if something does go wrong, your Premier Host is only a phone call away. (Lives on island). We look forward to having you stay with us at our Ola Loa Hale!!
I work with a Turo (online vehicle rental company) representative on the big island for vehicle rentals, and my guests do get a nice discount!! Ask me about details and for the links on Turo.com for his vehicles. Registration Number: TA-009-412-7616-01, GE-009-412-7616-01

We rented this property for 1 week in February 2023 and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a rental in the Kona area. Great location and the property was clean and everything worked perfectly for us during our stay. We did not use the air conditioning as the property has excellent airflow just with the windows open. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and the pictures and description of the property are very accurate. Just a wonderful property!!

Hawaii & Hollys rental was full of good vibes! Holly was responsive and available when needed, and also left us alone during our vacation. Which included three adults, one teen, and two small children. The condo was comfortable and in a great location to explore the Big Island. I would definitely stay there again!

The pictures of this place don’t do it justice! Beautiful, comfortable space with all of the amenities we could need. The best part of the condo is the location. Its a 5 minute walk to a beach! We walked to the next door beach everyday and it felt like our own private beach. Easy place to take a dip, relax under beautiful trees and look for turtles in the tide pools. Our daughter absolutely loved it. Better yet, next to that beach is one of our favorite snorkel beaches in Kona ( also within walking distance- about 10 minutes). Next to that beach are other activities like surfing and paddle boarding. It was great that we didn’t need to worry about parking anywhere. We had everything we needed right there for a perfect relaxing beach vacation! Also it’s a 5 minute drive to the grocery store. 5 star review, the best rental we’ve ever stayed in. We will 100% be back!

This truly was one of the best vacation rentals my family and I have stayed in. The unit was spacious, immaculately clean and super cozy. The location is very central to all things happening on the West side of the island and a quick drive into downtown Kona. Beach chairs and beach towels provided are an added bonus. I would recommend this to everyone!

This is our favorite condo ever. The decor is beautiful and the floorplan is great for families. The large lanai is very relaxing. The kitchen is dreamy! Convenient location, too, with a nice shopping center just up the road and easy highway acres.
