Awesome property. Sunsets off lanai are unbeatable. Main room does get quite warm in late afternoons on sunny days even with AC, but cools off after sun sets. Proximity to Hideaway and Puu Poa beaches is wonderful (BTW — you can buy drinks at the 1 Hotel bar even when you aren’t a guest there).

The condo was very nice and spacious but by far the most amazing thing about this place is the lanai! It looks directly out onto the ocean and has a perfect view of sunset. We saw a rainbow every day! It is also right next to a little trail that leads down to a beach. More broadly, this area has good access to all the north shore of kauai has to offer.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay. Only minor complaint was the house was so warm the first day, I think about 84° inside, and we couldn’t get it to cool down. They said they would bring extra fans, but no one ever did. The next days weren’t as hot out so it wasn’t a problem. Other than that, the house and location are spectacular, and the views are great. Still recommend!

The condo and the location couldn’t be better! We walked to three different beaches easily. The sunsets were amazing! We loved how close it was to Hanalei. It took us a few days to figure out the AC. They are portable units and very loud. We would close the bedroom and bathroom doors before we went to bed to cool off the room then just put on the AC fan for the night. The bedrooms stayed cool all night. We really appreciated the beach gear, chairs, and boogie boards! We used them every day. We loved our time on Kauai!

What can I say? Absolute perfection from the moment we walked in.Three portable air conditioners... However, we only use them a couple of times and seriously use the fans. But a wonderful convenience to have.Decor was very tastefully done, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Spent many wonderful mornings and evenings, watching the sunrise over Hanalei Bay and the sunset over the ocean. Our son and his family were with us for a few days and he surfed almost every day he was there and we spent several wonderful trips down to hideaways beach. Highly highly recommend this condo.

We felt we made an awesome choice with this property. It was so beautiful with anything you could need included in the place. The view from the lanai spectacular! The cool breezes that came through the louvered windows was lovely. Definitely would come back here again and again.

Everything about this rental was perfect. We even cancelled our reservation at a hotel with an amazing view for dinner because our view was perfection. We sent much time on the beautiful patio looking at the mountains, the ocean, surfers, and wales!

We loved our stay in Princeville. The accommodations were great; one of the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Kauai is VERY busy especially around New Years. It is important to proactively reserve restaurants and site seeing activities. Be prepared to wait in line at almost everything!

We could not ask for a better view in Princeville. Having stayed at Pali Ke Kua properties numerous times this was our favorite. Nice unit for a family. Great location to explore Hanalei and surrounding areas. Highly recommend. The full rainbows and sunsets from the lanai are amazing and something we will never forget! Thank you!

We loved our week in Princeville. The prop mgr was very helpful from the start answering questions in a timely manner. The condo overall was clean, except for a stained blanket on the bed and the pillows should have been replaced. Also, honestly, the condo was very, very warm the entire time we were there. When we arrived, probably 100 degrees...not good after a long travel day. But that view made up for the few concerns we had.

Very much enjoyed are stay here. Spent a good deal of time on the deck taking in the fabulous view, rainbows and an assortment of birds! House was well stocked and it was great to have nearby shops you could drive to for groceries etc. Also close to Hanalei which is an added bonus.

My family spent 9 days at Pali Ke Kua #205 and we absolutely loved it. The unit is equipped with everything we needed from beach equipment to linens to a fully stocked kitchen. We hiked down to the beach directly below and it is gorgeous. We snorkeled with turtles and had a great time. The staff at Makana Kauai were amazing and took great care of us. We would like to thank Sarah for all of her help with our stay. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back again in the future.

Air conditioner unit for main area of condo is inadequate. Between hours of 2:00 pm - sunset, it is cooler outside the unit by 10-20 degrees. AC unit in master worked well with door shut. Upstairs ok ( not great). Otherwise condo furnished comfortably and well supplied. Path to beach is steep and rocky shoreline, not for everybody.

As expected, the view from this property is unbelievable. The unit is well appointed and situated in the beautiful Princeville development, because of it’s westerly view you naturally get the afternoon sun beating down into the unit which stays hot all afternoon. However we will gladly come back here as it is a beautiful place to be.

Likely the best view on the island. Amazing sunsets. Easy parking. Clean room with perfectly stocked beach items, well equipped kitchen, nice towels and sheets. Nothing strange in cabinets. Well supplied bathroom soap, towels, dish detergent, and dish pods. Only issue was it was a bit warm, especially upstairs. We shut the shades and that helped. It cooled down by bedtime. The living room AC unit may have been broken and we never contacted management about it… so that’s on us. The bedroom units did well

My family (me, husband, and 20 & 18 year old sons) enjoyed staying here very much. It was our first trip to Hawaii and staying here helped to make it an AMAZING time. Plenty of room, well-maintained, beautiful property, gorgeous views, and well-located. The communication and instructions from property management were excellent—there was no confusion on what to do before our stay, during our stay, and for check-out. We were two couples who so appreciated the comfortable bedrooms, lovely bathrooms, great kitchen, and, of course, the fabulous views of the ocean and Bali Hai. The view from the balcony is where we retreated at the end of each day to enjoy a drink, read a book or watch the more advanced surfers surf. The view is more spectacular to see in person. Our young adult son and daughter enjoyed the upstairs bedroom and my husband and I enjoyed hearing lots of laughter from that direction. Evenings we watched the Harry Potter movies (all 8). The condo was perfect for a family of 4. We took the beach chairs to Hanalei beach one day and really appreciated having them available to us. Would we go back - we would absolutely love to!
