We had the best time staying here! It was a great location -near the pool, hot tub and bar/ restaurant area. The condo had everything you need for a beach day. Loved the view of Hanalei Bay from the porch and it was a great spot to watch the rain. Would definitely come back!

Amazing view on the third floor, a lot of amenities to use on resort, right next to happy talk lounge and pool. Very nice and Hawaiian feel. Bed was comfy. Walking distance from the beach. Check in and check out was super easy, would definitely stay here again. Thank you Dave!

Property owner is amazing communicator, very customer service oriented and great guy which made our stay extremely easy and enjoyable. Great location on North end of island. Bed was very comfortable and view was lovely. The only thing I was not aware of was no elevator and room is located on 3rd level. I may have missed that in property description and only noting for anyone who may have any type of disability issues.

The studio unit was all we needed for our short stay on the north shore and the location was central to everything we planned to see and do. The only thing missing was a microwave. The best part of our stay was waking up to views of Hanalei Bay each morning.

Has everything you need in this studio. Loved having a toaster to do a quick breakfast, and the mini fridge was perfect for drinks and food for lunch. Bed was very comfortable. The best part for me though was the view. I loved the location on the property. Would love to stay here again.

The Hanalei Bay views were stunning and the studio was perfect for us - comfortable and great location with proximity to some of the best beaches in Kauai. The access to the Puu Poa beach with hotel golf cart was also a great surprise- great for snorkeling!

We enjoyed our stay in Princeville. Dave's place was as promised with a wonderful view out on the lanai, very comfortable bed and comfortable patio furniture which was a huge plus. The only minor complaint I have is that there was water all over the entryway upon arrival (I believe from the fridge?) which was a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, it was nice being in close proximity to the pool, restaurant, and entrance of the complex. I think this unit would benefit from having a hot water kettle to make tea or coffee (rather than use the microwave in the hospitality room downstairs). For us, that would've been a major upgrade! We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

This property was perfect. The unit was very clean. It had everything we needed and then some. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. The views from the balcony were breathtaking.
The resort itself is very clean and friendly and helpful staff. The hot tub is not currently working which was disappointing. The restaurant is good on site but closed Wednesdays. It would be nice if it were open everyday including lunch. We would definitely rebook this resort and unit again in the future.

First off, Dave was nice to work with when we had to change the dates for our visit. He was prompt in messaging and refunded me the difference. The only annoyance was that Vrbo didn't allow partial refund on the service tax, even though we changed the date well before the cancellation period, but that's not a knock on the host.
The resort itself is beautiful, much better than other similar 3-star resorts. We loved the beautiful Koi pond and the view of the Hanalei Bay. They also provided transport to and from the beach since it was kind of far to walk. Our balcony had a nice view of the entire resort area and one of the highlights of our trip was sitting there at night enjoying a cold beer and poke from the nearby Foodland. The room is cozy with a really comfy King bed and nice cushy chairs.
With that said, some things with the room could be better.
The wooden balcony sliding door is broken and gets stuck a lot, the toilet chain was loose and fell off and I had to fix it myself, the shower drain occasionally gets clogged, and my wife found a small cockroach crawling out of the sink one night.
We wished that there was some sort of heating element in the kitchen area, like a small toaster oven, to heat up food in the morning.
Also we were given a very small amount of shampoo/soap (enough for about 3-4 showers) and the resort charges a fee to get more. It's not a big deal but still a surprise annoyance.
Overall we had a good experience and would love to come back if the above issues were addressed.

Overall, I’d recommend this place if you are going to spend the vast majority of your time enjoying the gorgeous north shore of Kauai. Did I have a great trip? Yes. Would I stay here again? Up for debate.

Outstanding view of hanalei bay! Short walk down to the beach, caught a few fish which was a major plus. Plenty of wildlife, we loved all the nenes in the area. Plenty of food options around or a quick drive to foodland. Overall would 100% stay here again. Absolutely loved it!

My husband and I traveled to Kauai for the first time and couldn't be happier with staying in this condo. The resort is amazing and the views from this condo are to die for. My husband and I spent many hours in the morning drinking coffee and in the evening having cocktails from the lanai. We loved the unit's location with it being so close to The Happy Talk bar and restaurant that is open on site from 3 till 9. We enjoyed their live music too but not to worry if you dont like noise because the resort is super quiet thereafter. My only complaint would be there was a small gap under the front door & a rip in the bottom of the lanai screen that I believe let a few critters in. We killed a few spiders in the bathroom and tried to rescue the baby gecko in the closet but he was too fast to catch. Hopefully he found his way back out. Really though thats minor. We greatly appreciated the beach chairs and cooler provided. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. This unit is on the 3rd floor without an elevator to access it so that may need to be taken into consideration for some. Overall we are so happy with our stay and think Hanalei Bay is definitely the prettiest part of the island. You could not leave this resort for your entire vacation and be content!

I loved the location, however why on earth there was no microwave or sink to prepare food or relax and eat within the condo was puzzling. However there was a 1970s era stove hood over the counter. And a fully appointed kitchen with accessories. We couldn’t heat up our leftovers and washing the dishes in the pedestal sink ? Not convenient at all. Such a shame , as the stay was overall very good.

The Hanalei Bay is a beautiful resort and the staff was outstanding. The room had a gorgeous view of the North Shore and we even saw a waterfall from our bed. The check in and out process was seamless and the front desk was quick to help with questions and get us rides to and from their private beach. The owner was fairly quick to respond to inquiries and the room was well kept. The only draw back to this resort is they did not have a restaurant open and the bar/.restaurant did not open until 3pm. We would have planned food and water a little better had that been known, but overall, the stay was amazing. We love Kauai and want to come back soon!

Fantastic location - walk from beach, tennis courts, hiking opportunities at an affordable price. Dave was easy to communicate with. Resort area very nice as well and the condo had spectacular views of the coastline. Only qualm was a run-in at night with some bugs, but that didn't take away from our overall experience!

Spacious, simple room with extra perks including a closet with beach chairs, boogie boards etc, a beautiful ocean view, and close proximity to a nice walking/bike path through Princeville. The kitchenette area is a mini fridge and coffee maker (no microwave/stove), but there are grills available at the resort you can use. Plenty of basic cooking supplies in the cabinets. The resort has nice amenities including 2 pools, multiple tennis courts, and a nature walk down to a beach where people were swimming and snorkeling, although we went to other/better beaches for those activities. The resort restaurant, Happy Talk, was solid and convenient, with nice live music.

Overall, I am satisfied with the rental as I was on the go for the entirety of my trip to the island. I would have liked a sink and kitchenette but was not a big deal at all. The place was clean. The bed was comfy. The morning view from the patio went great with a cup of coffee. Dave was very prompt in his response on the few occasions I reached out throughout my stay and the booking process.

Our overall experience renting this property was spectacular. My wife and me were both amazed with how beautiful the view from the room was and how big the room was too! The big tall ceilings made the room feel so much bigger and cooler. We couldn’t get enough of the view that mostly every morning we tried our best not to miss the sunrise and if you ever rent this room you’ll understand why. We will most Definitely be coming back to this room whenever we decide to take another vacation in Hawaii :). Thank you Dave for being an awesome host!!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Princeville. The rental is located in the Hanalei Bay Resort, which has beautiful grounds and amenities. The pool area is beautiful and there's a nice restaurant with amazing views of the bay and mountains, both right next to the rental. It's about a 10 minute walk down to the beach, which is very steep at parts, but the resort offers golf cart rides to and from the beach if needed. The beach is amazing. We swam and snorkeled every day. The rental itself was nice. I liked the spacious bedroom, nice king bed and balcony with a great view. The only downside was that the kitchen is very minimal with a very small fridge, sink and microwave. So, plan to eat out for every meal. The only restaurant within walking distance is the above mentioned one on the property. Everything else is at least 10-15 minute drive. There's a small grocery store just outside Princeville on the main road. Overall, we LOVED our stay at this rental!!

Loved drinking coffee on the lanai every morning with this beautiful view!! We were here on our honeymoon and the location was ideal for everything we wanted to do on the north shore. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards were provided which were a plus! The resort staff was friendly and accommodating. Dave was also a wonderful host! We would definitely stay here again!

The resort and location are perfect. The property is exactly as the pictures portray. A little older, but perfect for two people. The bed was very comfortable and the porch is perfect for drinking coffee every morning. If you plan on cooking most of your meals, this is probably not the place for you. There are some kitchen items, but no place to do dishes easily, and no microwave or easy way to heat something up.

Very relaxing stay on a beautiful property with a beautiful view! Resort and parking fee was a bit steep for the services that were available. No open restaurant on site while we were there, no way to heat my tea (microwave, teapot) and no hot water available at the resort. Otherwise, no complaints! Snorkeled off resort beach and got to see a few cool fish! Many amazing beaches, snorkeling and sites very close by!! Close to Princeville and Hanalai Bay towns to get food.

Our room with perfect for just the two of us! Dave has a great spot; very close to parking so you don’t have to walk far when you get to the resort! Great pool and private beach access and very close to shops and downtown Hanalei! We loved it here and will definitely be staying here again! Mahalo Dave!

Great resort. Great location. Not fond of the daily parking charge at a condo resort when a spot should be included in the condo fee.
