Located in the beautiful Sea Village complex on Ali'i Dr, the ‘Turtle House’ is a 1 bed, 1 bath unit that over looks world
famous Kailua Bay with 180 degree, breathtaking ocean views & amazing sunsets from the comfort of your own lanai.
At 700 sq. ft, this is one of the largest 1 bd, 1 ba condos you will find on Ali’i. A perfect place to relax, dine & enjoy
your stay! The Turtle House gets its name from the turtle themed tile work and decorations throughout.
This unit has recently undergone a major kitchen remodel to include new cabinets and quartz counter tops. The
bathroom has also undergone significant remodeling and nearly all the furniture throughout the unit is new. Also
included are a full size washer/dryer, WiFI, a 55” TV in the living room and a 32” TV in the bedroom, both with full
cable channel access along with a library of DVDs. The kitchen is well stocked with a wide array of spices, coffee, tea
and other cooking essentials as well as all the cookware and cooking utensils for most cooking and grilling needs.
The hall closet contains plenty of snorkeling gear, beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, picnic gear and other
recreational equipment. Located on the 1st floor, there is easy access from the parking lot without the hassle of stairs
and, unlike many ground floor units at other complexes, the lanai is elevated above volcanic rock, making the area
between you and the ocean inaccessible to others. The bedroom has a king size bed and the living room has an
ottoman that converts into a twin size bed allowing up to 3 people to sleep comfortably. An air mattress is also
available.
From the lanai, you can watch whales migrating, dolphins playing, and ships sailing. Swim in the oceanfront pool while
waves crash onshore and soak in a warm jacuzzi. Relax and enjoy time in the sun!
The complex was built before AC was allowed and most units do not have any kind of AC. The owners installed a
portable AC unit in the bedroom for sleeping comfort on those rare nights when the trade winds go still and humidity is
high. There are ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom as well as several portable fans, which is more than
adequate for most of the year in Hawaii, but it can get warm in the late afternoon on sunny, windless days with the
condo’s westward exposure. A full size mechanical shade covering the entire length of the sliding glass doors can be
lowered to significantly reduce the sun’s direct exposure into the condo.
The condo grounds are meticulously maintained and the BBQ's and picnic tables are perfectly positioned to enjoy the
stunning sunsets while preparing your meals.
Downtown Kailua-Kona, with its restaurants, galleries and shopping is only a mile away, and Honl's Beach is only a
half mile down Ali'i drive. Located 8 miles south of the airport, and close to many stunning beaches, snorkeling spots
and golf courses.
The owners spend several months of the year at the Turtle House and, as a result, have put significant effort into
making it as comfortable as possible with all the amenities of home. They hope you enjoy the Turtle House as much
as they do. Registration Number: GE-176-861-8496-01, TA-176-861-8496-01, 375019003101

Property was very nice! Good ‘beach’ equipment - chairs, umbrella, kid toys, and coolers. Good location with view of the water - great sunsets

I want to emphasize that this was a beautiful unit, right on the water. However, there are 2 reasons I would not stay here again. The balconies are not private. You can see and hear the other neighbors. The second issue was the AC unit in the bedroom. The unit does not have central air. It has a portable unit in the bedroom that is set on a 4 hour timer. This means that every 4 hours, it shuts off and you must wake up to turn it back on. It is hardwired to the outlet with the timer, so you can't remove it from the timer. The timing mechanism also makes a "ticking" sound all night long. In short, we did not have a single night of solid sleep for our entire stay and seriously considered moving to a different rental. This is something the owners need to address and resolve. It is not reasonable to expect guests' sleep to be continuously disrupted.

The pictures really do not do this property justice. The price was beyond worth what you get. I read reviews about not having laundry detergent or this and that but this place had it all! Sunscreen, bug spray, aloe for your sunburn, pool towels, basic condiments, and drinks. It truly felt like we lived there, rather than the hotel vibe. Our first day I was a little irritated that it only had the low-level AC in the bedroom, but after my body got used to the Hawaiian temps it was no longer an issue and worked perfectly for sleep, it runs on a timer and would shut off in the middle of the night, I think once I got up to turn it back on otherwise the room stayed cool with the ceiling fan over the bed. The view of the ocean is incredible; you can't see the sunrise from this condo, but the sunset is breathtaking. There is also a very nice, clean pool and hot tub and a little grass area with cute lights, picnic tables, and grills! I HIGHLY recommend staying here, I know we will be back.

This was potentially a challenging trip for us to Hawaii because we traveled with our four year old grandson. The condo was perfect with plenty of space for the three of us. Kitchen was well stocked. The fold out bed for our grandson was perfect. Lots of gear for the beach was available for snorkeling, chairs, beach toys….The bed was comfortable. The tiled floors with fish and turtles brightened up the rooms. The lanai was nice with the ocean only yards away. We enjoyed the sound of the waves….The view across the bay to town was very nice. Location was great. Just slightly out of town and away from the busyness. We could hear neighbors but all was quiet during quiet hours. We would go back! Mahalok

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful unit for six days in early February. The views are exactly as shown in the photos and are stunning. The walk to Huggo’s is just under a mile. They don’t take reservations and the food is great. It’s worth it to wait for a table at the railing. If you’re going for dinner bring a flashlight to be seen in the dark as you walk back.Island LavaJava is also close and is great for breakfast and lunch. For a fabulous dinner try Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill Kona which is just a couple of miles away. Sea Village is very quiet and has plenty of parking spots. Sitting on the deck with our breakfast or in the evening with our wine we watched whales, snorkelers, paddle boarders, and paragliders. You MUST visit the National Park at Pu’ukohola Heiau to see the excellent video depicting how Kamehameha the Great took over all the islands and then take the 45 minute tour inside Hulihe’e Palace right in Kona to learn even more fascinating history. We definitely plan to return to this unit in Sea Village.

Fully enjoyed our stay. The property and unit are beautiful. Great location. Close to the happenings. Well stocked. My only complaints were that the bed is very firm and we had to buy our own toilet paper because what was provided was 1 ply.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Village 4-104. Being on the ground floor, right on the bay without viewing anything between was our criteria and it was met. The Condo is pleasantly decorated and very comfortable. We would certainly choose this unit again. Thank you for the beach gear availability. We thought lack of air conditioning might be a problem but it wasn't. Able to cool off the bedroom to sleep was all that was needed. The area was very quiet. I want to go back...NOW 😆

The location was great, and the view was great. However, there is WHITE carpet in the living, dining and bed rooms. Because of the humidity, the carpet constantly feels a little damp. The two beds in the smaller room were more like a toddler bed than a single and we're horribly uncomfortable. There is also an ant problem that they are aware of, and provide ant spray in the condo. We used it all. The ants were in the bedroom, kitchen and living room. The complex itself is a bit unwelcoming. LOTS of rules and restrictions on facilities (pool, bbq area etc) and parking. Like asking you to limit your time in the pool and limit your use of the bbq.

Great location, quiet yet close to downtown. Wonderful views and plenty of room with everything you could possibly need for your trip to the island. Just bring food and drink. One opportunity for improvement would be to improve the AC in the bedroom, (Req’s draining in middle of night) understanding AC is rare on the Island. Overall wonderful stay and we would definitely love to come back.

OMG view to die for! As comfy as home, clean, organized & so comfortable for sleeping to lounging. Great spot to travel anywhere on island, or just stay put. Felt spacious even when family visited. Wonderful pool & recycle were a bonus. Happy from arranging to leaving. Mgt team responded quickly and let us check in early, fixed any problems immediately.

Love the view, right on ocean. Has portable ac in window in bedroom. You will have to drain water when gets full. It’s on a timer 4 hour then it cuts off had to get up turn back on during night. Have fans. If leave doors open get breeze. Great location, good parking. Fully stocked kitchen.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
