This has to be one of the best units when it comes to the view, simply amazing. Watching the sunset from the lanai every night was fantastic. Unit itself is very well stocked, we had everything we needed for our stay. Unit was very clean when we arrived. Definitely a 5b star on all counts. I will be booking this condo again on my next stay.

We’ve been visiting Maui for over 40 years. I think this condo 101 was my favorite. Things I thought I might not have, liked turned out being, in the end. The amenities, a large glass widow facing the small street, the green grass , and then the huge ocean.The condo is as clean as could be and very tastefully decorated. You get your own spot, which happened to be open 7/24.Lots of ocean equipment and the pool areas, not fancy but just right

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Hale Kamaole, and Condo 101 was very nice. Great proximity to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Our condo was equipped with everything which really does make it more enjoyable. My only disappointment was there was no coffee, creamer, sugar provided. We’ve stayed in 4 other rentals at the Hale Kamaole and coffee was always plentiful. Overall....we give our stay 5 stars ! Thank you and we’ll be back !

This end unit has a beautiful portrait window looking out at the ocean that makes it very special. There was a cockroach infestation and pretty low level kitchen supplies but otherwise things were fine but not great in terms of furnishings. Just for the location and view this was a positive experience.

We stayed in December, and found German cockroaches in the kitchen. Apparently they are very difficult to get rid of due to the tropical climate, and not much could be done.

Can't beat the location. AC was really nice to have although we didn't use it much. We mostly opened the doors and enjoyed the breeze. As a "water snob", having the reverse osmosis water to drink was really nice. Also, we rented a roll-away since we have teens who wouldn't share the pull out bed but there was an air mattress and a fold-out sleeping pad in the closet which would have been good to know.

Property was just as described and pictured. The location is right across from the beach. The unit was clean and well supplied. Very nice stay. If I had to pick a nit, I'd wish for better mattresses.

This unit has probably the best view on the whole property, only a 30 second walk across the street to the beach. The amenities at the unit are also above and beyond - portable beach chairs, snorkel gear, stocked kitchen utensils, you name it! The pull-out queen-sized sofa bed was also very comfortable with the mattress topper. The only downsides of the place are: 1. The cockroaches - main office said there can be an influx of cockroaches at this time of year (September). Even though the unit itself is very clean (and we maintained that daily) and cockroach traps were placed by maintenance staff, we found an number of them in the unit every morning and evening (especially in the bathroom, if we didn't close every drain before going to bed). 2. This is out of the property's control, but FYI there's a rooster that likes the hang out by the lanai and starts crowing every morning at 2AM and 4AM until around 6:30AM. Good idea to have some ear plugs and noise-cancelling headphones! I just took the opportunity to go for early runs by the beach but understandably, my roommate really didn't appreciate the lack of sleep.I wouldn't let those two things deter you from this incredible location though! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this unit. Every evening we were able to watch the sunset on the beach with dinner and I sat on the patio reading my book and drinking delicious Kraken coffee (just from down the street!) with the ocean view every day. Not only is the view spectacular, but it's also very easy to drive to anywhere from this location. You have most great stops less than 2 miles away from the property: food truck park, cafes, a little local market, multitude of beaches, Foodland, etc. It's honestly the perfect location for the most relaxing vacation in Kihei, Maui.

Wonderful view of the water we enjoyed watching the whales and sunset daily. The kitchen is full of every pot and pan you could need for cooking your meals. We enjoy Hale Kamaole residents and staff. It is such a great beach across the street and we go to the water often but the park is also a good place to hang out and find some shade. There is only one downside to this unit and if we had not been staying so long it might not have been an issue. It is the closest unit to the street that is very busy so the street noise is constant all day.

Location Location. As usual the property was beautiful. Same wonderful experience as we have come to expect here. The only issue was the condition of the carpeting in our unit. It needs to be replaced.

The property was at an amazing location, directly across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. This is a corner unit so yes, people and cars will be going by most of the day but with the door closed, it stays soundproof. I really enjoyed sipping on coffee on the patio looking at the amazing view every morning. The property was extremely well-kept and clean. The bed's mattress is SO comfortable! A word of caution: the air conditioning unit in the bedroom is pretty loud if you are sensitive to that. Also the view from the huge living room window is clear all the way to the water and island.
Providing hangers in the closet, extra pillows, and laundry pods were great and the latter was helpful in a pinch. The beach gear provided was really nice.
I had trouble finding the key to the lanai closet and didn't realize there were beach towels provided until after I poked around in some drawers - I would recommend placing these essential items on the counter or desk for new arrivals. Couldn't get into the locked lanai closet with the beach gear for a few days while I was trying to work with the office (they didn't have the right keys and weren't hearing back from the owners). After I poked around in some drawers I found the key. Also the wifi password wasn't working, but got that figured out after a few days as well (it was changed without informing the office).
I would recommend this property and would stay here again. Thank you for opening your home!

Nice property and room. Location good but lots of foot traffic around patio. Great ocean view. Communications was bad. Received initial confirmation but no email with instructions or pass code. Found number on office and got in. Twice tried to contact office during trip with no results. No wifi information in room that we found & left message requesting late check out.
