This is our second time staying at Hale Kamaole and it is really the perfect spot for seeing Maui. Beautiful Kam 3 is right across the street and lots of shops, restaurants and grocery nearby. It’s also east access to all points of interest on the island though West Side is a bit far if you’re interested in going there a lot. The unit was comfortable and for the most part clean—there were a few dirty kitchen items that I’m guessing previous guests just stuck in the cabinets uncleaned but the unit was otherwise good. The Murphy bed in the living room was great as it allowed us to have more sleeping space with kids and also the bed itself was comfortable and much better than a sofa bed. We truly appreciated having AC in the whole unit with 2 small kids. The outdoor closet had enough beach stuff for our stay—chairs, umbrellas, coolers, toys and a big stack of beach towels are also inside the unit. Finally, the unit is situated at the back of the complex which I appreciate cause there is less road noise. But what is really great is the patio is right in front of the pool and has a spectacular view of the gardens and the ocean. We are all our meals on the patio because it was so lovely. We didn’t have much interaction with staff but when we did they were really nice. If we could swing it, we’d stay here for future visits to Maui!

We stayed in unit 147 for a week and absolutely loved it. Spotless, freshly renovated, located right in the middle of the Hale Kamaole development with great views of the ocean and swimming pool! The storage closet had every item for a great beach adventure ranging from sun umbrellas, chairs, beach mats, snorkels, fins, and pool noodles. Kitchen was well equipped with everything. Very family oriented and quiet location in South Kihei, walking distance to Kamaole beaches and very close to Wailea. Loved it! We will come back.

We love coming to hale kamaole. My husbands family have been coming for 30 years and myself for about 7 years. We stayed in unit 147 and it’s nicely renovated. Only issues I had were there was no dish towels, one tea towel, no binder or laminated papers to give us the information for the unit, and I would have loved to have had binoculars (though I know that’s probably more of an added amenity we have experienced in other units) to watch the whales from our lanai. Aside from that, we had an excellent stay. Love the floral and landscaping, pools are great, and the sunsets are even better. Already booked ourselves for next year !

147 at Hale Kamaole was a beautiful spot. It was very hard to find places that were updated and new in the Kihei area and this was it! It had a beautiful walk out balcony with steps to the pool and right across from the beach. It had a great location, just walking distances to anything you may need. The only thing I wish it had was more beach supplies (chairs, toys etc.). The unit was incredibly clean and has the kitchen was stocked with everything we may need!

Just returned from a fabulous getaway. We rented two units, and everything was perfect. The kitchens were both well stocked with utensils etc. The pool was wonderful, we had no trouble getting chairs and most of the time it was fairly quiet and enjoyable. It would be great to have another umbrella for the sought after shade. The units were very quiet at night, which was much appreciated. We woke to the birds making a racket every morning! The beaches across the road were great for the little ones, and there were turtle spottings most days. Snorkeling wasn’t the best, but you could see fish if you were patient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

This unit has a beautiful ocean view and great amenities! It is nicely stocked and is conveniently close to the pool and bbqs (gas & charcoal). The grounds are well kept and beautiful.It is one of the farthest units in the complex from the beach (about a 5 minute walk), but that helps keep things quiet.The unit is nicely decorated and has a twin Murphy bed and a pull out couch hide a bed. Keyless touchpad entry was nice especially after going to the would be nice to have that on the lanai sliding door, too!Shop at Costco or Wal-Mart for food and cook in the unit to save $$. Check out Ululani's for excellent shave ice and Da' Kitchen for local food.The only cons would be that the sliding glass door was hard to close and lock, there was one missing blind in the vertical blinds, and the housekeeping fee seemed really high if you stayed less than a week ($143-almost as much as another night's stay).We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely newly renovated condo in walking distance from Beach. This condo is close to the small pool and BarBQue area which makes it the center of socializing with year round residents and visitors. Most nights with slider open we smelled barbq or propane dinners. Location of the dryer vent in the entrance to the condo kept us with front door closed . (I am sensitive to chemical smells) staff very helpful and professional

Easy check in, lovely unit with a view of whales! We were steps away from one of the two pools, the unit was nicely furnished and equipped. The property is walking distance to Kehei Town and right across the two lane street from a grassy park with beach access. We had a view of the ocean from our ground level unit perfect for viewing whales and lovely sunsets. The office staff were most accommodating.

Overall, this unit was fabulous! We loved the location in Kihei right across from what we thought were some of the best beaches on the island. The unit was well stocked, especially the kitchen and bathroom. I will say, there was only one extra blanket and since we used the murphy bed and pull out bed for our kids, one of our kids had to use sheets as a blanket because the unit only had one extra blanket. Also, the tile floors need a really good cleaning. Our feet were black from walking on them. But overall, the unit was mostly clean. The mattresses were comfortable and we slept well. There was some snorkel gear and beach accessories available which was nice. Also, beach towels and lots of regular bath towels. We would most definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great place to stay!
