I'll start with the rental management team. They were excellent and very communicative. I would absolutely use them again in the future.We have stayed at 4 condos in KS. This condo was by far the most well appointed condo of the group. Clean and literally had everything needed for a great stay! Plenty of chairs, coolers, and beach stuff in the storage room.The building is C-3. We've been in E and A buildings as well. They all have their plus and minuses. Parking very convenient and close.Property has always been well maintained and its a great low key spot for a couple or families. Pool and access to the ocean, grounds very lush and green with lawn chairs. Lots of BBQs, I've never run into a lineup. Only quirk is they auto close the gas to them after dark (I think around 9), so dont come back late from the beach and think you will get to cook some food on the grill. Pool also closes fairly early.Winter months swells are substantial. This bay has suffered tremendous erosion over the years that have impacted the homes as well as building F at KS. Of the 14 days there, we probably had 3 maybe 4 with clear and calm enough water for snorkling in the bay. When its available, its absolutely amazing! Just be prepared to hop in the car if you are looking for a beach day and waves with less energy than what can pund this little complex in the winter.Our stays in West Maui are in the double digits over the years, its our vacation speed. Laid back, not as touristy, and amazing places to visit just minutes away. Location close to many beach options or a quick stop at the market square for food,coffee, groceries.The devastating fire's impact is indescribable on the great people of Maui.We chose to show local support by spending money into their economy, tip well, and volunteering.Post FEMA government housing plans have taken too long and there is pressure on rental owners.Mayor has even threatened moratorium.Some may judge you for being there.Recover

We loved our stay! The property and condo were amazing! The landscaping on the property is a tropical garden setting. The beach is fantastic with turtles all over.
We were able to cook in the well equipped kitchen and dine on the patio!
The unit was supplied with a pack and play crib and a table top booster seat and tray.

The location is quite a distance from the airport, and makes for a quiet relaxing vacation destination. Our kids enjoyed snorkeling every morning in the small cove and seeing sea turtles feasting. The property is quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the sunset. Our unit was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful spot! The condo was clean, large, two balancies! We used the pool, BBQ's and beach, all of which have a view of the ocean! The beach is small, but during our stay the maximum number of groups on the beach at a given time was 3! We snorkeled right off the beach and say multiple turtles who seem to live in the cove. No crowds, very quiet and private! We would definiately stay again!

This place was amazing! We had 2 couples staying here and it was the perfect size for all 4 of us. It was so nice to have 2 bathrooms, which seemed hard to find when I was first looking for a place to stay. It was spacious, cozy, and had a great view of the pool and ocean. Due to having 2 couples we had 2 vehicles, the first night I reached out to the owners to get a parking permit and they answered me immediately, eventhough it was already 8pm when we arrived. They were so quick to respond!. If we ever get to go back to Maui I will definitely rebook!

This place has so much to offer--sand and surf, a nice heated pool, lovely BBQ area, and the two matching lanais were great to relax and watch the waves and whales out at sea.The only thing I would improve is the shower-- it was slippery, need some textured stickers.

The location of the unit is great. It is above the pool, views of the private beach and ocean, and a short walk to the local market and some restaurants. The unit is perfect for 4-6 people. If you’re just looking to relax, sit at the beach with no crowds, swim with turtles , watch whales swimming by, then this is the place. We will for sure be back!!!

Kahana Sunset C3 is our ideal Maui vacation spot. Kahana Sunset is in a great location between Kapalua and Kaanapali. The property is lush and beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed meeting up with other guests at the BBQs or over drinks watching the sunset. We love the condo. Hulahideaway does such a wonderful job of the property management. Easy booking and awesome communication. They even offer a concierge service to book activities. Any inquiry we made was met with an immediately response. The condo is bright and clean and well equipped. This was another fabulous holiday. Thank you so much!

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our two kids, and it was a fabulous home away from home for our family! The beds were so comfortable (and we are picky about beds), everything was updated, clean, and convenient. The beach chairs and umbrella were a lifesaver! Meals out on the lanai were wonderful, and we enjoyed the red crested cardinals that came to visit us at those times as well. The pool was fabulous, and we really enjoyed the ocean overlook on the edge of the property as well. We felt blessed to have had the opportunity to live there for a week!

This property exceeded our expectations! My brother, sister, and I brought our mom to Maui in honor of her 90th birthday (my 20YO niece also came along). This condo provided more than enough space for all 5 of us, and was very well-stocked with both kitchen and beach supplies! It was so nice to have a cooler and beach chairs/umbrella to take to Maui's beautiful beaches (though the small on-site beach is also great, with sea turtles and good snorkeling off the right side rocks/coral).
The location is close to other West Maui sights (e.g., Lahaina and Kaanapali), but away from all the crowds/noise in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
We all *highly* recommend this condo. Check-in was simple and smooth. The grounds, pool, and beach are all beautiful and inviting. Having 2 lanais with gorgeous views is an additional bonus.
Note that both bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs (and my mom sprained her ankle scrambling down the rocky path at the black sand beach), but there are handrails to help maneuver the staircase (with ice and Advil, she managed very well and still says that short hike/injury was worth the view 😉).

A man was pulling fresh mangos right off the tree and handed us 6! The pool is lovely and the private beach access is perfect! The layout of the condo is a bit odd, but they’ve made good use of the space. There is air conditioning in the living room and two bedrooms, but they ask you not to lower it any lower than 74. We would have preferred it a little cooler at night. Overall it was a great, clean, quiet place to stay and we throughly enjoyed it.

The grounds were well maintained. The grills were clean. The beach access was good. Check-in was 3:00, but the unit was not available and ready until 3:30. They did allow us to put our groceries in the unit while we waited for the cleaning team to finish. We greatly appreciated the provision of an air mattress for our grandson. There was an abundance of sea turtles in the bay, which was fun to experience for the kids. Overall this was a perfect place for our families needs. Thank you Hula Hideout!

There is a private pool for the community and small “private” beach area onsite. There is no need to hesitate in booking this is the price and accommodations are what you’re looking for. Spacious and clean. Nice patios for extra living space. A few items did not work but nothing to spoil our vacation.
The beach at the property is in terrible condition. The erosion problem is evident and a little concerning. Luckily it is Maui and there are plenty of other beaches. We did see two sea turtles on the beach one night which was cool but we expected a nice beach but we were disappointed. The large retaining bags and exposed fabric coming up through the sand make the beach unpleasant and basically unusable.
The owners did a great job with communication for our stay. Booking was weird. We booked through Expedia but started getting tons and I mean tons of email from VRBO and something called Hula Holiday which we never figured out. It was confusing.
Two small notes: There is no place to store your groceries. Every one of the cabinets was packed with kitchen stuff. Very well supplied but we literally had no available space for our food which we left all over the countertop. And, try as we did we never figured out if the patio awning worked or not. It would have been nice but we gave up.
We would recommend the property but not the beach.

Great experience here. Clean, updated unit that had a crisp, modern island vibe to it. Air conditioning felt great! Much better than our in laws who stayed at a different unit on property. Unit had everything we needed. Owners provided a pack n play for our 1 year old we appreciated. Linens were very nice. Beds are on the softer side. Kahana Sunset is a good condo resort that is family friendly. Our kids liked the kiddie pool. It's not a hot tub (lots of people make this mistake looking at pics of Kahana Sunset). Beach is smaller but still nice. Turtles can be seen easily and will beach in early AM and evening. All parking spaces seem very narrow. Kahana Sunset is a smaller resort but has a very family friendly feel so we loved it. Would stay here again.
