Overall, I would not recommend this unit to anyone until the owners make some long overdue investments in the unit to make it actually comfortable to stay in.
We are typically fine with older Hawaiian/tropical furnishings in units as long as we have somewhere clean and comfortable to rest at night. However, this unit feels dark and dingy. Several things were borderline broken (e.g., kitchen sink, living room chair). The mattress was very old and very uncomfortable - we slept terribly. The couch is a bench with a worn out pad - also very uncomfortable. The mauve pink carpet is stained and kinda gross (esp. given you take your shoes off inside in Hawaii!). The owner desperately needs to upgrade these basic things to make the unit comfortable and welcoming to guests.
It felt like the cleaner was in a rush. They forgot to clean the bathroom sink and there were cobwebs (w/bugs) in more than one corner of the unit. This wouldn't have been a big deal but compound with the above mentioned issues.
The good thing about the unit is its location. The lanai is lovely and backs up to the creek and you are a short drive/walk from the beach, restraunts and shopping. The access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club thanks to the property management company was a highlight.

This property is centrally located and provides access to any direction you would like to go. The grounds are beautiful and nicely landscaped. The chickens and parrots provide what we felt was a special island experience. The unit itself is nice and spacious and is well equipped for staying in, cooking and going to the beach. The unit does show its age and would benefit with some general maintenance and some upgrading.

This is a spacious condo that was well outfitted with all cooking items, stocked with laundry soap and dryer sheets and nice and numerous bath towels. We loved the lush and large greenery and trees all around the property and the proximity to the Koloa landing. Would not want to stay here again because the pool closes 30 min after sunset. We never got to use the pool. Big thumbs down there. The couch cushions were hard as rocks and no amount of adding pillows helped. Big thumbs up on 4 beach chairs, a cooler, beach mats and fins in the sand closet. If it weren’t for the pool, would stay here again. Lots of built-ins to unpack your clothes and bathroom items. Ample parking.

It was a lovely setting but many items lacked upkeep such as burn out lights, stuck sliding door, broken ceiling fan but the worst was the plumbing issues. It overflowed after we returned from our sunset cruise. Management response was to get a plunger. I worked hours cleaning up the disgusting mess. We had no functioning bathroom for over a day. Which was not cool. A plumber should have been called immediately but the management lied and said there was no 24 hour plumber on Kauai. We googled it and found a bunch of them. I don’t like being lied too. They offered relocation two days later but at that point our stay was almost over and the issue with plumbing was repaired. Because we feared the toilet would overflow again we were careful with it and didn’t put toilet paper down the toilet. This rental has known plumbing issues that are not being dealt with. A partial refund should be given to us.

Great location close, but not too close, to beaches, restaurants and shopping centers. The complex was gorgeous and fairly quiet (except for the roosters). And the condo was much bigger than we had expected. It was kind of nice to be able to spread out a bit. There isn't any AC but we really didn't need it. We just kept the windows open to enjoy the wonderful weather. The unit had a washer and dryer which came in handy and the hosts even left us some detergent. The living room has a smart TV which was nice for casting movies. And they had some snorkeling equipment for us to use. We loved it so much, we recommended it to someone else traveling to Kauai.

Nice unit, needs many floor fans as there is no air movement making it somewhat stuffy. Unique decor, but needs appliance update. Renters should be aware that you pay $20/day for athletic club membership which we didn’t want, but owner was unwilling to make it optional! We stayed 15 days, $300 down the chute. Other units do not have this stipulation.

Cons- This unit doesn't have any comfortable seating. The couch is dated circa 1970 and sits on a hard wood platform. The cushion is so thin, it provided no support on the hard wood. The property was also dingy. Mold on the shower curtain and dirt in the corners of the bathroom. We cleaned it ourselves upon arrival. We kept the doors open at night to have cool air but there were also no locks on the screen doors so every night anyone could have walked in on us while we slept. That was very sketchy. The description speaks of a quaint private oasis however, its on a walking path that exits the property so we did not get as much privacy as we were hoping for. I would stay again but only after a much needed update.

Overall we had a lovely experience. Somehow I missed the fact that the unit did not have AC but many fans were provided including ceiling fans which helped with the humidity. August is just hotter in Kauai than in winter when I had previously visited. We loved the unit. It is spacious with a very well appointed kitchen. We loved eating on the back patio and loved the garden in front. We didn't realize we had on sight pool access until the last day which was sad for us but we did enjoy the ability to use the Poipu Athletic Club. What a lovely bonus! My daughter loved walking the garden out front and we loved having much beach gear provided by the unit. Our only requests would be to have 4-6 beach towels provided and to have the screens fixed so they lock. It would have helped us feel more secure leaving the doors open at night. We really enjoyed this beautiful property! It was very conveniently located. There was plenty of space, it was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, but could use a good egg spatula! The coffee pot did not work, but was very promptly replaced with a new one for our use. Would come back!

Appreciated a central, yet private feeling location in Poipu. Fabulous gardens lending to privacy. and a feeling of really "getting away". The rental had ample room and storage- lots of living space, and large rooms. Very much appreciated the well stocked kitchen and washer dryer, as well as a well stoked first aid kit. Thank you for thinking of practical details such as these! Ample linens as well. Aesthetically, the place is a bit dated and has an eye sore of a large old book collection, but it is clean. Staying here made being in Poipu a breeze. Would recommend.

We found the condo nice and comfortable for our family of three. The access to the piopu athletic club made the trip! It gave us a little resort atmosphere to visit each day with our toddler. The kitchen was reasonably stocked with items to make simple meals and cocktails. Pleaty of space to spread out. It’s located on a beautifully landscape property in Waikomo streams villas. Having some beach gear is nice too so you don’t have to bring your own or rent. The only thing is we couldn’t get ahold of the property manager quick enough to get some items that were in the condo but should have been. Other than that, would rent again!

Great location. Near attractions, beaches, and a good home base. The property was beautiful. We loved sitting out on the back porch to have our morning coffee. Having the ability to make meals was very useful too.
