Our family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed on the Big Island for 3 weeks and chose this condo due to the stunning view. The location was wonderful…we were close enough to town that it only required a short drive. Sitting out on our lanai each morning and evening was our family’s favourite part of the trip. The island is gorgeous…we explored all parts and none of it disappointed.
The unit was tidy, had many amenities, and the view was phenomenal. Hearing the waves all day and night is exactly what we were looking for. Kids slept on the pull out bed, which they said was comfortable. Bed in the bedroom was comfortable, but it was SO hot! Even with ceiling fan and multiple floor fans in the unit, we couldn’t escape the heat. We left the windows open to allow for cross breezes, but we all complained of being hot. I think air conditioning in the bedroom would have helped.
The unit is close to many beaches, fun sites, shopping. If you want to be closer to beaches for lil kids, I would say to stay further north, but our kids liked the rocky beaches near us to explore so it worked for our family! Lots of surfers right outside our unit so it was nice to watch them each morning.
Overall, we enjoyed this unit and would return!

Overall Kona Isle is a beautiful location. Our rental E24 was nice however we made a complaint about the ceiling fan needing to be tightened to the ceiling but it was not resolved due to the property mngmt needing approval from the owner. I understand if it was a matter of replacement but this was a repair and a hazard. We didn't use the ceiling fan so it was pretty hot. The floor fans and box fan provided were so rusty and caked with dirt on the fan blades there was no way we were going to use them so we had to buy new CLEAN fans so as not to breath rust and dirt. Lastly the andvertized lagoon is a joke as it is maintained by the State who doesn't maintain it and It is not safe ti swim in ans it's full of bacteria and green dirty water. It should not be advertised. Aside from that everything else was good. The view was breathtaking the salt water pool on the property was delightful and we spent a lot of time there. After 5 the grills were available (the construction in that area during the day was very quiet).

We spent most of our time on the lanai looking at the ocean, palm trees and sunsets. The view is great from the living room and kitchen as well. The walk in shower was really nice! The house was well equipped with kitchen stuff and outdoor gear including a couple of snorkel gear sets. Gorgeous vegetation around the buildings and a nice sandy spot in front of the shore with lounge chairs and palm trees. It's a shame we never got in the pool, it looked real nice with a recessed outdoor shower. The lockbox outside the door made it handy that we didn't have to tote the key around. The unobstructed view of the Pacific was heavenly. Mahalo

The property was clean, sized well for the two of us, located close to town, and has a great view of the ocean and sunsets from inside and from the lanai. We prefer working with Knutson when we visit the Big Island. Our questions are handled promptly and completely. Instructions are clear and timely. We find their service consistently top notch.

The Kona Isle condos is a very nice property with unbeatable sunsets views. The unit itself has everything you need: beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, well stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay there. Be aware this unit has no AC and was very hot during our August stay. With all the fans provided (6 in total) it is probably cool enough during cooler months.

We had a wonderful time. From the moment you open the front door the view takes your breath away. The constant sound of the crashing waves was amazing. Eating our meals and watching the sunsets from the lanai was spectacular. It was the perfect location to celebrate our 40th anniversary.

The Kona Isle condos is a very nice property with unbeatable sunsets views. The unit itself has everything you need: beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, well stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay there. Be aware this unit has no AC and was very hot during our August stay. With all the fans provided (6 in total) it is probably cool enough during cooler months.

This unit was stocked with a lot of great beach gear. There was a cooler, chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, and two boogie boards. The kitchen was outfitted and had some basic condiments like spices and ketchup and mustard already there. The unit was very clean and the bathroom has been updated. If I was going to have one small complaint, it's that you cannot leave the curtains in the bedroom opened while sleeping because of the lights from the neighboring resort shining through the windows. This limits the airflow through the bedroom which makes it a little warm since the unit does not have air-conditioning. Overall I would definitely recommend this unit because the ocean views and the location close to Kona town cannot be beat. It has more than you would ever need.

Great little place in a nice location walkable to touristy shops and restaurants off Alii drive in Kailua. The place was clean, cozy and the view was wonderful. Great sunsets! The grounds were nice and pool was clean and usually uncrowded. Very relaxing and fairly comfy. There is no A/C which wasn't a surprise but just be aware as you will need to have the fans going to keep comfortable The place has everything you need.. All the kitchen stuff plus an assortment of toys.... chairs boogie boards, Ice chest, umbrella, swim fins etc. This is an end unit which overlooks a public saltwater pool that a lot of the locals use so it can be a little noisy/busy in the early evenings, but not a big deal. All in all this was a great deal for the price.

The condo was clean and the view was outstanding. It was very convenient having washer/dryer. The bed was nice and firm. The grounds were well-maintained. A few drawbacks: VCR/DVD did not work, the phone didn't work, minimal supplies (ie. rolls of toilet paper, trash bags), no snorkel gear, no cooking condiments, and the saltwater pool was an eyesore and covered with algae and moss. There was only one adult-sized boogie board, and the hair dryer was so old and ineffective. It was irritating to have to buy things/supplies that should've been included. I would like to stay at the complex again, but probably not this unit due to the aforementioned reasons. The complex is conveniently located yet very quiet and provides a great way to watch sunsets. You won't be sorry if you stay at the complex.

We love Kona Isle and have stayed at a variety of condos. E-24 is ideal since it faces directly on to the ocean. Screens in BR need work. Dishwasher also needs work.

Very nice and affordable oceanfront property on the Kona coast. The owners thought of everything, including details like copious amount of laundry detergent packages, plenty of hangers. beach chairs, and a cooler with ice packs. Very clean and comfortable with great view of the ocean and sunset. Reserve parking is nice with plenty of space. Only oddity is kitchen doesn't have a full-size oven - just a toaster oven, so don't plan on making your Thanksgiving Turkey there. Other than that I would highly recommend. We had a very enjoyable time.

Well the view is as described. Beautiful. Waves crashing on the rocks at night is a nice way to sleep. space was clean and very comfortable. Lanai- perfect. had all the right toys as well. Only thing we added was a electric kettle for hot water. Management was very responsive and very nice to work with. We will definitely stay here again.

I booked this condo based on the ocean view/proximity. It did not disappoint. Condo is older but in good shape. No a/c, so unit can get pretty warm if you don’t constantly have all the windows open.

What a view! We were very happy with this property and would DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend it. There is no AC and it was not needed at all -the ocean breeze kept the room plenty cool and it was in the upper 80's our entire trip. The room was clean and super stocked - more stocked with everything we needed and MORE. As other guests have stated - there seems to be an ant problem.. but you can see they are trying to handle it and we made sure to not leave any food out so we only saw a few. Hawaii is tropical and even though we have never experienced ants in our 15 plus past visits to Hawaii..we have experienced other insects so I would NOT take a star away - I wish I could book the room again but there is basically NO availability the rest of the year and the first of 2023 which is a huge BUMMER! Highly Highly recommend this room - just a great overall location and room.

This Condo was exactly as pictured. Having the lanai directly overlooking the ocean was ideal for us. We spent alot of time on the lanai eating and enjoying the sunsets. Having beach chairs/towels/snorkel equipment available to use was a great bonus. Having a washer/dryer in the condo was also a great plus for us. The location was perfect for us, a very safe neighborhood and we did walk to the Kailua Bay/downtown area for "touristy" shops/restaurants. Be aware that there is no air conditioning in this unit, but that was fully disclosed in the original listing description and with fans utilized, we were comfortable throughout our stay. Yes, there were ants in the unit, maintenance is trying to control the ants, but this is also a tropical climate area and bugs/insects are going to be present. We would highly recommend this condo unit to everyone.

My husband and I came to this unit for our first vacation since COVID, and it did not disappoint. The ocean view is stunning and it’s such a quiet complex. The condo is well-stocked with all you need for the beach (snorkels, chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc)! Our only complaint was that there was a bit of an ant problem (seriously, leave one tiny crumb out on the counter and they’ll find it). But some ant traps quickly resolved that issue! We’ll definitely be back!

The appartment is a bit outdated, needs freshening up quite a bit in some areas of bathroom and kitchen and living room. Fixtures are old and rusty in some places. Nice to have a brand new washer/dryer machine. Although they charge high fee for cleaning, there was quite a number of areas that wasn't clean (knobs and pulls in the kitchen for example were sticky!). Good to have a reserved parking. View from the balcony is super nice.
