The condo is very roomy-it was just me and my sister in law. The beds were wonderful- a queen and a king. We loved the decor- all rattan furniture and Hawaiian art all over. The fabric on the chairs and couch could use a little updating but they were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly want to cook with or eat on. There was a nice stock of spices which we used. The cabinet doors should be replaced because the veneer is peeling off on all of them but other than that, it was the nicest condo I’ve ever stayed in.The pool was fantastic! We would definitely come back.

The place was clean and nice, and the property is beautiful and well taken care of. The only down side is you can’t really walk to any shops and you need to drive everywhere (but since you have a car, it’s not that bad and shops are a close driving distance). We loved having the big grass area and walking along the beach. Plus the pool is awesome! The unit has everything you need :)

The place was clean and nice, and the property is beautiful and well taken care of. The only down side is you can’t really walk to any shops and you need to drive everywhere (but since you have a car, it’s not that bad and shops are a close driving distance). I know Kihei isn't the premier area to stay on Maui, but this property looked nice so we gave it a shot for the first half of our Maui vacation. Kehei has proximity to lots of South Maui activities, after all, and the better beaches near Wailea are a short drive, so why not?
I got a bit concerned as we got close to the property (Maui Sunset) because the neighborhood is a bit "gritty" and the actual condo buildings are a little dated from the outside. HOWEVER, we were treated very nicely by the check-in staff and once we set foot into our condo we were delighted! Our unit was very clean, well laid-out, and comfortable. It has a nice lanai and view of the swimming pool, park-like setting, and the beach/bay. We enjoyed the pool, shuffleboard, strolling across the grass to the beach to watch the sunset, and more. The kitchen was reasonably well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Bottom line: this property is a great value and we'd certainly recommend it to families and friends.

My daughter and I came for a week vacation. A friend had recommended the condos and I’m so glad she did. Our unit was really nice and comfortable. It was easy to stay and relax. We felt like it had all we needed. Comfortable beds for good sleep! The grounds were really beautiful. The pool was fantastic as well, and having beach access was great! We definitely will be staying again.

Amazing view! Arrived in mid-August and the condo was very hot inside. AC cooled it down in about 30 minutes. Wish it would have been below 80 degrees inside when we got there. Circuit breaker tripped in kitchen and repair guy fixed it quickly. :-)

When I first made this reservation for Sunset I was a little unsure because I had my heart set on another property. I am so glad this place was available. The condo was clean and had everything I needed. The balcony looked right down onto the pool which is fabulous and I could see the beach and ocean. The views and the sunsets were amazing. Had to drive to get to a store but not very far. I loved my stay at Sunset and will stay again. My only complaint is the showers didn’t have very warm water.

Our stay here was wonderful for the price. The bathrooms were recently redone, the beds are comfortable, and the place is clean. The condo is well stocked with beach toys, a cooler, four beach chairs, and an umbrella. We had 4 adults and a toddler, and we have plenty of room. The kitchen has all the supplies you would need to cook meals. The grounds are well kept, and the pool is great! The beach next to the condo is nice to walk and relax on. The water is rocky so it is difficult to get in the water. Our only complaint was the carpet in the living room and porch. If the owners have the extra cash we suggest they replace those first. Also the towels had a weird smell so we bought different laundry detergent from the one they provide. However these detail would not prevent us from staying again. It was a wonderful condo especially for the price!

Maui Sunset is a nice resort and the grounds are well kept. It’s a good resort for families with the pool and large lawn. This is a nice unit, but a bit dated with dark furniture and dark brown indoor/outdoor carpet in the living room and bedrooms. The bathrooms and hallway and kitchen floors were tiled. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and utensils. This unit is directly above the pool/hot tub area so there is some noise during the day and into the evening, but the view is lovely.
