You'll have excellent winter whale and albatross watching in a recently renovated space!
This unique, one-bedroom, oceanfront condo is located on the bluff at Pali Ke Kua in Princeville, on the beautiful North Shore of Kauai, perfect for a couple looking for some privacy. The redecorated kitchen of the home is light, bright, and fully equipped, with a living room and dining area that look directly out to the Pacific, Bali Hai, Hanalei Bay, and the Na Pali Coast. Ceiling fans are present throughout, and there is even air conditioning in the bedroom. Adjoining the bedroom is a bathroom with an oversized shower. In the bathroom, you'll find a full-size washer and dryer.
Access to the beach is down a short private paved path. At the beach, you'll find tide pools that are home to a wide variety of plant, marine, and animal life. You'll see large green sea turtles, and in the winter months, you can watch humpback whales. The endangered monk seals even pay us a visit from time to time. This area features beautiful skies, a multi-colored ocean, beautifully colored fish, exotic fragrant flowers, and temperatures that range from the mid-seventies to the high eighties year-round. And at the end of your day, you will witness some of the most beautiful sunsets you could ever imagine. The senses come alive in this environment.
Princeville is a luxurious, peaceful, resort community with perfect views. Princeville is also home to the Makai Golf Course. In one direction, just a few miles away, is the quaint small town of Hanalei. And in the other direction is Kilauea, home of Kauai's lighthouse and National Wildlife Refuge. Majestic mountains and some of the best beaches and hiking trails in the world surround the North Shore. Activities are abundant including hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, shelling, sunbathing, whale-watching, fishing, horseback riding, helicopter rides, and boat tours.

Our stay here was overall a great success. It is in a wonderful location for getting around and there are gorgeous views out the back looking at the bay and mountains. We loved having beach gear and a cooler at our access.
Only downside was the AC unit in the bedroom didn't work very well. It was more of a fan just moving air than cooling down so be warned it was pretty warm. Also the paved path the beach is STEEP. Beware, but it leads to a nice secluded, peaceful beach to enjoy.

Expected more for price paid based off of pictures/listing.
When we first arrived every light fixture was on and it was approximately 85 degrees inside. Light fixtures were hot to the touch as in you could have burnt yourself. The excessive use of outlet splitters and extensions seems like a fire hazard.
We had to kill 2 bugs on the floor, the shower head did not work and I did not dare force the handle after reading other reviews.
The AC was venting inside and did not work anyways as it had a “P1” code meaning the drip pan was full (this could be remedied by simply letting it drip outside).
Other than that, the bed was decent, the view is good out the lanai and the kitchen is modernized.

The property was wonderful….view breathtaking! However the lack of response to issues was a major factor in whether we use Vrbo again. Especially being unable to access pool because key didn’t work. We reached out multiple times; no one responded when replacing a key should’ve been an easy fix!

Everything was perfect about this condo and location, especially the view. And the paved path to Hideaway Beach is just feet from the condo. If arriving late at night, it can be quite challenging to find unit 116 - Park in lot "Buildings 2-3" and follow the paved path from the parking lot to lower level, turn right and you'll find it. We will definitely be back and will stay here again.

The view from this condo is unreal! The condo has everything we needed. There is AC only in the bedroom. The living room does get strong afternoon sun and heats up, but it was do-able with the fan provided. We would absolutely stay here again next time, even plan our trip around dates that it is available.

This home is in a great location for seeing the sunset. The kitchen is very well appointed and the grounds are breath taking.
