We had a wonderful stay in Kahana Sunset and unit A9 was awesome! It has the best ocean front views, lovely lanai, and spacious unit that feels like home.
The property is very quiet and cozy unlike the larger resorts that you typically get in Maui. The beach is very private and the pool was clean and nicely maintained. You truly get the best sunsets and moonsets everyday. (Please check out a moonset if you are lucky enough to time it right for a spectacular nighttime view!)
The unit is very nice. The air conditioner worked great and the washer/dryer looked very new. The kitchen had everything you'd need including a rice cooker!

Beautiful grounds and well maintained. Suite was nice except for the master bed, which felt like it was 30 years old and the sofa in the living room was the same. I don’t think they have been replaced in years and extremely uncomfortable. The beach is a lot smaller than pictured. Was a nice spot with lots of turtle watching however I don’t think it’s a place we would return to.

Fabulous location, condo overlooked the ocean....amazing views. Not a beach like pictured, do need to drive elsewhere to sit on a beach. Air conditioning in this unit needs fixed/reported to them so hopefully for next guest it's addressed.

The bad: AC was broke when we got there (no freon) but was fixed the first 2 days of our stay. The dishwasher leaked our last day there, and we had to clean up some water to get our stuff out.
The good: Excellent location. The view off the lanai was spectacular, the small beach for the resort was very close (nice pool and lots of lounge chairs), the snorkeling right off the property was amazing - clear views, lots of fish and sea turtles every day.
The unit was a good fit for our family of 5 and despite a few maintenance issues, we would recommend staying here.

We didn't want to leave and are talking about returning next year and renting two oceanfront units. Turtles visited everyday. Private beach had great snorkeling. Grocery store nearby. Management immediately responsive. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect place for our week in Maui. The sunsets were amazing and it was wonderful to eat a meal with the ocean as the backdrop. The condo had everything we needed and was the perfect size for our family of five. The communication was great and renting was an ease. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at Kahana Sunset 4x and it never disappoints. This was the first time staying in the A building and would definitely stay in it again. Beautiful ocean views and easy access to the beach, which is like a private beach. Lots of turtles and many views of the whales. We would recommend staying here for sure.
