Great room and centrally located next to Whalers Village. Walking distance to many spots along Kaanapali beach. Was not notified that parking is first come first served. Garage parking is usually full and overflow lots are really close so it wasn’t a big deal really. Would come back for sure.

Very impressed with the updated decor and newer carpet. Very clean unit. Could use a few more cooking utensil options and newer pans in the kitchen, but supplies were decent. Overall a nice studio! Thank you for the chips and 2 packets of coffee, nice touch!

We were at the Whaler during the fires and we understand it was a natural disaster so our input is clouded by this disaster. Our hearts go out to all the families and everyone that was impacted. After the Lahaina fires, we returned home to help my elderly parents whose heydays included the first hotel built in Kaanapali. Having stayed at the majority of resorts here over the years, I highly recommend this hidden gem & experience the staff’s true spirit of aloha.

We had a fantastic stay at this condo. You can’t beat the location, with it being right on a great beach, next door to Whaler’s Village giving easy access to shops and restaurants, and right on the paved walk way the runs along the resorts in the area. It was a quick few minute drive to Lahaina and a short drive from tons of great beaches and sites along the coast of Kaanapali and north of.
The condo itself was very comfortable and well equipped. The bed was comfortable, there were beach chairs and a cooler available and beach towels available through the building. We enjoyed having breakfast and watching the sunset from the deck. We had a fantastic stay!

It’s the perfect little space for a quick getaway for 2 people. Oversized balcony is a real plus with the beautiful ocean view!! We will definitely come again!!

The carpeting was very dirty. Bathroom needed a good cleaning-drawers and grout dirty. the shower had an old faucet-hard to turn and adjust temperature-initial water was scalding hot. Outdated kitchen (with cheap basic utensils) and bathroom. Garbage can lid would'nt stay down and was icky.Basically a hotel room posing as someones residence.

We loved staying at Whalers 518! The condo was perfect for our needs, the amenities were great and the ocean was beautiful. The host was very easy to communicate with and very prompt with her responses. As a bonus, she had a wide variety of spices which was a welcome surprise!

This was a great studio unit at The Whaler condo complex. It was very clean and had a nice view of the beach and the mountains/tennis courts. The couple things we thought could improve: the bathroom sink seems to only have warm/hot water. Also, the bathtub wasn’t draining well so we took it upon ourselves to clean out all the gobs of hair, which was a yucky task, but it worked like a charm and the tub drained fine after that. Note: we did not call for maintenance on the sink or the tub because we were not that bugged by it. Finally, the kitchen would benefit from another complete set of dishes and silverware, as well as some mixing bowls. Overall, a very pleasant stay and unit!

The resort was right next door to a shopping center with a small store, restaurants, and shops. Everything was so convenient! My wife and I came to Maui looking for relaxation and serenity. Boy did we fine it! The Condo was located in a great area with access to everything. The convenience of the beach and pool just down the elevator was perfect. We had a great time and will certainly be back. The condo was clean and exactly as described!

For a studio it was very spacious and well equipped, the bed was comfy and appreciated the TV instructions although we didn't use it much. Had been to Kaaanapali beach previously so knew the area well, the Maui bus stops at Whaler's Village next door which was convenient to get to Safeway for supplies, the ABC store was a good backup. Would absolutely book again

Excellent place to stay on Kaanapali Beach! Nice view of the ocean (exactly as pictured) and beautiful sunsets. The Whaler's property itself is breathtaking, and they have an attractive pool and offer free towels and chairs (for both the pool and beach). The property is also just steps away from Whalers Village, which has many restaurants, food court, and shops as well as a bus stop that will take you (cheaply) to Lahaina (including a Safeway grocery store there). For drivers, The Whaler has a lot of nearby parking available, and parking fees are covered in the resort fee (which you pay directly to The Whaler separate from the rental price). That was $25/day for us plus taxes.King bed was very comfortable (sturdy) and the sofa bed was quite nice for a sofa bed. Lots of drawers to put away your things, and a well appointed kitchen for cooking and nice sized dining room table for eating. Lots of space. Worked great for my family of three. Also, a closet in the room has a large cooler and two beach chairs (though we didn't use them).Realty company was quick to reply to inquiries but curt in responses and offered no flexibility (no early check-in, etc). Didn't feel like I could ask for suggestions or help like with other B&B hosts. Fortunately, The Whaler's front desk is incredibly friendly and helpful.
