We had an amazing time at this picture perfect condo. The 2 pools were great to cool off in after a morning or day adventure. We had all we needed for our 4 night stay - kitchen well stocked, beach towels, beach chair, kick boards and snorkeling equipment available. The slider opens up to a nice view of the ocean - which my husband enjoyed every morning with his coffee. Would definitely rent again! Thank you for a great stay.

This was our first time to the Big Island, & the condo was perfect for our “home” while we were on vacation. The unit itself is beautiful, with updated kitchen & nice bathroom. The bedroom was cozy & comfortable with a king size bed. We also enjoyed the lanai for breakfast in the mornings (listening to all the birds was nice!) & the pools, BBQ pavilion & beach area were great for days we wanted to just hang out.
What we didn’t like: there is a lot of construction going on with the condominium building (not the unit itself!) & there were 3 separate days where the water was shut off for an extended period of time, & one day where the property manager (Knutsen Property Management) had to move us to another condo for a night due to construction in front of the condo we rented making entrance to our unit impossible! While we understand they have no control over construction, it was a HUGE inconvenience & not a hassle that we wanted to deal with while on vacation. It would’ve been nice to be advised of the construction going on ahead of time & given the option to either book another property or the chance to cancel our reservations & look elsewhere to stay. The communication from Knutsen was not great. It would’ve been nice to hear from them regarding the construction & not so many calls asking us if we’d be interested in viewing properties they manage that are for sale!

Absolutely loved our stay at this property!! Everything was perfect from the initial booking to arrival, we had zero issues and enjoyed a very comfortable stay! Will be booking again the next time we visit the Big Island for sure!

We LOVED our stay at Casa De Emdeko! The condo was very cute, very clean, and had everything we needed. We had an ocean view from our lanai, and the AC and fans kept us comfortable in the Hawaii heat and humidity. The grounds were stunning and immaculately maintained. There were hibiscus and plumeria everywhere. We enjoyed both pools, especially the oceanfront salt water pool. And every night there was a breathtaking sunset that we watched from the waterfront area of the complex. We cannot wait to come back!

Clean, centrally located property with nice view and great amenities. After beach hopping and goong on excursions it eas nice to come back and relax here. Washer/dryer, coffe maker and fridge were all used extensively. We would happily stay here again.

Condo was on the top floor (3rd) and although it was farther from the beach than hoped, it still provided a nice view of the courtyard and ocean. Knuston & Associates was very responsive, via text, with any questions or concerns that I had.

The place was beautiful! Loved the kitchen! The bed was comfortable. The partial view of the ocean was nice from the deck and we loved eating out there! We loved the boogie boards!

The Good: Unit is right across from the elevator which is convenient. Top floor so you're not bothered by folks walking on the floor above you. Nice wi-fi. Lots of "beach" gear for your use. King bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped.
Other: While the bathroom has been nicely redone, wouldn't call the shower "spectacular" -- it's nice but VERY small. Like the double sinks.
Not so Good: Furniture (living room & lanai) is dated & good use thorough cleaning. Bedroom is pretty small/confining -- would be better if it didn't have the 4 poster frame & queen rather than king would give more space to move around. Wouldn't describe the location as in "the heart of Kailua-Kona" ... it's an ok location but far away from the heart of tourist area with restaurants, shops, etc.
Overall: Adequate & the price was right; would be stay here again -- not sure.

Appliances, furniture, shower, etc. All updated. Everything a vacationer would need was provided, including beach chairs, snorkle gear and beach towels. Perfect location with beautiful court yard view from balcony. Could not ask for more. Very satisfied.

I love that they have 4 beach towels, 2 beach chairs, a small cooler, sunscreen, and snorkel gear! The bed was comfortable, pull out not so much. I love the condo. It is just the right size with a great view. The liquor and deli store is a short walk to get necessities like coffee or aloe vera. The free trolley has a stop right out front to take into town or White Sands beach. Washer and dryer as well. A/C was very welcomed when we first arrived.

We do enjoy Casa de Emdeko. This was our third stay here. Unit 324 was not very clean. The furniture is dated and dirty. The water is undrinkable. The Brita filter container had mold in it. The slider door barely moved till we used wd40 on it. The beach towels were apparently new and when washed turned other items red. Lots of little things made for a less than enjoyable time. Would not stay here again.

Loved meeting at waters edge nightly to see the sunset with all the residents. Condo is very clean and well appointed but could use some new pillows and bedding in the bedroom.

324 Casa de Emdeko was the spot where we recouped after many exciting adventures on Hawaii. The view out to the ocean, overlooking the immaculate gardens, and the quiet community meant we could recharge our batteries after every day's outing,
whether to many varied snorkeling/swimming/bodysurfing beaches, to Hilo, to Volcano or Costco :-)

Casa De Emdeko was a beautiful place to stay. The condo was very clean and included everything we needed to sleep, have beach time, relax and cook meals. I appreciated the beach chairs, towels, cooler and especially the snorkel gear. We had a maintenance issue which was resolved the next day. The one thing I had an issue with was the parking. My daughter and I pretty much had our days planned out. We would leave earlier in the morning and then come back maybe around 7:30 pm. We could never find a place to park in the gated area. I'm sure most of the guests live in those condos, but it just seemed like no one ever left and there was never a spot to park inside the gated area. We always had to park outside the gated area. I'm not sure how that can be resolved (maybe designated parking stalls marked with room #) but I just wanted to let you know. We are looking forward to a future trip back to Kona!!
