We had a great time. The condo was nice and clean. We had plenty of room to spread out. The community was nice. It was a huge pool that the kids loved and it was a shirt drive to the beach to see the sea turtles. I would definitely stay here again. My only gripe was the key code not working until 15 minutes before 4pm. I was there 30 minutes early which i wouldnt think would be a big deal but i guess they want you to pay extra for early check in. We stood outside for 15 minutes until the code actually worked.

We stayed for a week in this very nice development with five of us, including a toddler, in the three bedroom unit. The unit was clean and comfortable. The unit was solidly built and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. All good.

The property was perfect!!! Better than the pictures and description.
All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and ready for us. The amenities within the complex were also great. The pool is beautiful and never crowded. There are bbqs at the pool as well as throughout the complex.
We are a family of 8 and we weren't on top of eachother; there was more than enough space for all of us.
We are a family who cooks....one suggestion would to have cookie trays (for baking) and a glass/pyrex meaauring cup.

We had a fantastic stay. Great location for the property located very close to 3 wonderful beaches...Poipu, Kiahuna and Brennecke’s. Manu restaurant choices nearby. The property itself was very well-maintained and of a good size. We especially appreciated the sit out and the large dining table. We will be back!

This condo was the perfect place for our family of six. The condo has a great layout, lots of room, is updated and has a great dining table on the lanai. It was private yet close enough to easily walk to the pool, hot tub and workout room. We could also walk to restaurants, shops & the beach. The house comes with beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards for fun at Poipu Beach. The management team were communicative, responsive & helpful. We are already planning our return trip!

Pro’s: clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable beds, good location, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, cooler, easy access and check in, large washer and dryer, great property manager got back to us quickly. Cons: smoke alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. Changed battery and obviously there was no fire. No book giving instructions or recommendations about hours at pool or surrounding attractions etc.

Do not stay here! As soon as my family walked in the door there was an overwhelming odor! It smelled like incense and burning rubber that we couldn’t get rid of! The washer and dryer was filled with sand and the kitchen island was covered in grime and crumbs. The kitchen dining table had cheap folding chairs. Pili mai is an excellent place to stay the location was wonderful it’s just this unit that was awful! DO NOT STAY IN 12 D! My husband and I come to Kauai often and have stayed in Pili Mai and have had a great experience. 12 D is not the unit for anyone!

Well kept condo in safe and convenient location. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops, but beach was a little far (we drove). Golf course next door looked nice, we didn't use it. Only issues with the unit were: 1)beach umbrella in pictures is no longer in unit, would have really liked to have one as the sun is strong! 2)AC is not as strong in the front bedroom, they did offer additional fan. 3)dishwasher was hard to turn on, had to use an internet hack. We were there on a weekend so they couldn't get anyone out to service it, but hopefully fixed after we left. These were minor issues, overall had a great stay!

When searching for this property, I selected Wheelchair Accessible. There was NOT the clear photo of a step that is now in the listing! Upon arrival, I called the manager and was simply told that "in all of [her] 16 years, {she had] never had this happen" and that was it. No solution for the fact there was a step outside the front door that my disabled mother was going to have to navigate! I asked about a small ramp that could be moved when not needed, and I was told that she didn't think the property would allow them to store something like that on property. There was a very large garage that could easily have managed such a little ramp!
Aside from the fact that my mother strained her back and knees getting into and out of the unit and is now on muscle relaxers, the unit is not truly set up for 8 people.
There is a pull out couch, but it is only a full. Thus, I had my tween sleeping on the uncomfortable couch and the smallest kid sleeping on the pull out couch mattress on top of the couch cushions on the floor. It was far from ideal, especially when you consider that there was a gecko living behind the art on the living room wall and made an appearance around bedtime every night! Thankfully, two kids sleeping in the living room never saw it, or we would have had even more issues!
The faucet in the kitchen does not fully retract, and the fridge water/ice dispenser was quite messy and slow to respond. Also, the dining table only seats 6 because one chair is broken in the garage, and the other chair (in the laundry room/office area) wobbled. Additionally, a few of the chairs' seat covers were disintegrating, so there was plastic covering all over the floor and our clothes!
The master shower had slick tiles on the side of the shower and the master bathroom tiles were quite slick so that three of us using that bathroom slipped, slid, and nearly fell on multiple occasions since the only floor covering was in front of the sinks.
The back porch was a nice space, but there were wasp/hornet nests in the corner to the right of the sliding door, and the "sliding" screen door didn't slide and had huge holes in it!
Finally, the front door is difficult to unlock and open.

The property location was in a great location in Poipu. The condo unit was not very clean for having a cleaning fee. Besides the cleanliness, we would recommend staying here with the rosters and hens, they make for a good time. Close to shops, food and the beach which makes things easy when traveling with a large group.

Excellent location with all the necessary amenities. The portable cooler, beach chairs, and boogie boards were a definite plus! Condo is well-designed for families and clean. My teenage daughter and sons were very happy with having their own bathrooms. The only suggestion I’d give is for the condo to come with a beach canopy/umbrellas.

Great location to work the south side of the island from. Property was well appointed and the family appreciated the boogie boards and lanai/family seating areas. Pool and jacuzzi were nice as well and only a short walk away. Close by was also a number of restaurants, although we utilized the kitchen much of the time. Having 2 parking spots was helpful for the 2 cars. Master bedroom suite was fantastic!
Only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating was some needed TLC: Multiple lights were out, maintenance came 1 day after call and were only able to "fix" one of the three. Coffee cups are down to only qty 6. Not an issue for a smaller crowd but there were 8 of us. 2 dining room chairs upholstery are in very bad shape and need recovering...what remained of coverings continued to come off when used. I'd recommend property management company have a standard checklist to ensure all items are working within unit.
Overall, would return however would look for above items to be rectified prior.

Great place. Good location. We even had the lock malfunction when we were trying to get back in and couldn’t get it open. The on call person was able to remotely open it and trouble shoot it and then gave us the code to the key box just in case, which we used due to some malfunctions. Close proximity to good and shopping, we even walked a few times.

We enjoyed our stay in Poipu at Pili Mai 12D. The location was off of the beach, but about a 10 minute walk to get down there. the Condo was spacious and well equipped overall, though kitchen utensils were a bit sparse. The only addition we would have considered essential is oven mitts. we baked a brownie mix one evening for the kids and realized when the timer went off there weren't any oven mitts (that we could find).
