The view from the lanai was fabulous! Noise from Highway 56 was loud! The island is beautiful. Traffic was surprisingly bumper to bumper at times.

My spouse and I both agreed the condo was great. It has a fun eclectic vintage flair w many original features still intact. Clean and exactly as described and very comfortable. the owners have seen to every possible perk you might need including beach equipment and snorkel gear. That being said the location in Kapaa was not our favorite place we stayed on Kauai. It is close to the airport which made leaving great however there is a current nightly construction project on the main highway that runs past the condo which is loud. There is also a former hotel building that is very much in need of being torn down which is an eyesore along w the same condition of a previous restaurant. We understood both properties have many in many years of litigation due to decide what to do w them. Neither of these things are controllable by the property owners of the condo and the construction should be done in the future.

We loved everything about our room! Our view was amazing and we enjoyed breakfast in the lanai every morning watching and hearing the ocean. Super clean and cozy! Did I mention our view was amazing? And everyone was super friendly!

We arrived at night, and when we opened the front door, we were greeted by the sound of crashing waves. Early the next morning, we finally got to see the full view off the lanai and it was even better than the pictures! The rental space had everything we needed on hand, including a few helpful leftovers from previous guests that helped us get through until we could go to the store--a small bit of coffee and some fresh local fruit, too. The space is well-loved and the location served as a great jumping off point for our first time explorations of Kauai.
My only very minor issue had nothing to do with the property--there were a few questionable characters who seemed to be living on the beach (one w/ a machete that I think/hope was for coconuts) and/or hanging out at the gas station nearby, especially later in the evenings. We had no direct issues (we're from a pretty urban area) but it's good to be aware if you plan to walk alone near the property after dark.
We had a fantastic time overall and will consider staying here again on future trips. Loved the onsite property managers who were so friendly and helpful!

This a beautiful condo with a great view, the place is well maintained and we had no issues during our stay. We have loved the sound of crashing waves each day, the kitchen is well equipped if you want to prepare a meal and it is very convenient location to travel to other parts of the island.

We had a great stay at Wailua bay room 207 Kauai. The room was very clean and neat and the ocean view was awesome. The pool and grounds were also very well kept and clean. Management was very accommodating and proactive with any question. We would stay here again for sure.

We were very happy with our stay here. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like the photos. Beach equipment such as chairs and snorkel gear was provided which was super useful during our time on the island. The best part was the location - the property is literally right next to the water and we had an amazing ocean view from the balcony. Definitely recommend staying here!

The central location is perfect if you are wanting to be able to explore multiple parts of the island. The condo itself is stocked with all the comforts of home which allowed us to cook several meals. We love that they have snorkel equip, plenty of towels, beach chairs, and even a small cooler for the beach. The only thing missing was a hot tub to relax at after a long day. Some reviewers mention road noise. This was never an issue for us in this particular unit.

Property was exactly as listed. We were a little nervous when we saw all of the road construction upon arrival, however you really couldn’t hear it once in the unit. Just enough space for the two of us, amenities included were SO appreciated. Parking was safe and secure. Located right next to a cafe we absolutely adored and went back to time and time again. Only regret was not booking a longer stay! Will be back!

The only downside is the traffic noise while sleeping with the bedroom windows open. Other than that it was a great place with all we needed, washer/dryer in unit is real bonus. Property manager Mark was wonderful.

My husband and I stayed at this condo for 10 nights while visiting Kauai. The condo was perfect for our needs and the view was incredible. The pool area was very nice and inviting but we did not use it as we were too busy exploring the island. The location of this condo was perfect for our exploration of both the South and North areas. I would recommend staying here if you are in the area.

I'm glad that we chose this location for our trip to Kauai. It is centrally located and easy to travel north or south without having to spend too much time in the car. We loved having the beach practically to ourselves the entire time. The road noise and sirens are loud with the main road on the island being so close, but still so very worth it! The ONLY thing we didn't like was the bed. We definitley would like a softer bed.

We had wonderful stay at the Wailua Bay View condos. We got in late and the check in process was very easy and straightforward. The property was clean and very welcoming: Hawaiian music playing in the background and the sound of waves coming from the back deck.
It was a great central location and we found it easy to walk and drive to all the locations we wanted to visit.
The bedroom does face a Shell station, but we rarely had much noise overnight even with the windows cracked. In the end, we spent the most time sitting on the back deck watching the waves, seals, and sometimes surfers. It was always a beautiful view.
The condo was equipped with great beach gear including chairs, snorkels, and towels. We were thankful to have these extras during our stay!
We had a fabulous stay and are hopeful to return for another trip soon!

The owner and manager of this unit could teach the master class on vacation rentals. It is everything one wants when staying in a place away from home. Super clean, very friendly and helpful people on site, all the amenities as advertised. Love the little details like binoculars for whale watching (we saw many from the lanai), snorkeling gear (great snorkeling beaches nearby), guidebook, and beach chairs to name just a few. The bed is comfortable. The pool clean and inviting. BBQ grills functioning and available. It is across the street from a very nice bakery/coffee shop (Passion Bakery) and a short walk to many outstanding places to eat (Russels, Sleeping Giant, Ravishes, and the Lava Lava Beach Club). Grocery stores are minutes away in the car. Trailheads for some fun hikes are close and beautiful beaches everywhere. View is marvelous. The only knock on the place is that it is right on the highway and though the sound of the surf predominates, an occasional Harley rumbling by alters the mood for a flash. The view from the deck does include the long lines of bumper to bumper traffic in the mornings and evenings. Across the highway sits the abandoned and decaying remains of the once iconic Coco Palms Resort (Yay Elvis!) which bring a bit of a run down vibe to the area. These last things were small things to us, and we only mention them in the interest of full disclosure. Overall, we loved this place and highly recommend it.

Cindy had the place ready and waiting for us, and checking in and out was a breeze. Mark, the grounds keeper was so friendly and helpful. The complex is centrally located between the north and south shores and conveniently close to the airport too. Catching the morning sunrise off the lanai was amazing , and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. Air conditioning in the bedroom was an added bonus. We will definitely book this condo again!

Wailea Beach view was excellent. The views were amazing, the location allowed quick access to the west/east/north coast, the unit was clean and the staff on site were extremely friendly. The king bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The only issue we had was with the wifi - it was weak and sometimes cut out. I would recommend the owners put a booster in the bedroom as well. But this is definitely a place I would recommend to everyone. You cannot beat the view or the location.

PROS: The unit has exceptional views of the ocean. Very relaxing to hear the waves, and to watch the water activities.
The property manager is quick to reply, extremely friendly and professional; even attended to us after work hours.
Convenient to both the airport, and shopping.
CONS: This is the first property at a turn off of the main highway, therefore you get road noise. It may have been quieter sleeping with the A/C on, but we chose to leave the windows open instead.
The access code for entry had been changed just a few hours before our arrival, so we didn't get the notification. However, when the property manager was reached, the new code gained us immediate access.
Upon entry, the unit did not meet our cleanliness expectations. We contacted the property manager, who immediately communicated her disappointment, and got into her car to drive to our unit - after hours. She agreed that the unit was not up to standard cleanliness, and provided compensation.
Overall, the unit was good. The property manager couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful, even providing a bit of island history.
