This configuration comfortably sleeps six.
Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage, songbirds, and amazing views of the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. The condo is a short walk down a private, paved path through a small rainforest to lovely Pu'u Poa beach, or you can have the resort staff transport you by golf cart if you prefer. The beach is renowned for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and paddleboarding, as well as its sheer beauty, surrounded by lush mountains on Hanalei Bay.
There are two pools at Hanalei Bay Resort, the larger being an award-winning lagoon-style pool with waterfalls, a spa hot tub, and a children's pool with a shady beach and sandy bottom. Originally built as a tennis resort, the property features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island, including eight courts and a pro shop. Enjoy the convenience of bell and shuttle service, a fitness center, a concierge, a business center, and a hospitality suite. Hanalei Bay also boasts close proximity to many North Shore attractions/activities, shops, excellent restaurants, live music, and two of Kaua'i's best golf courses. The Happy Talk Lounge on the property features creative pizzas, burgers, salads, casual Hawaiian fare, a full bar with many beers on tap, and live music.

Condos contain lockouts, meaning there are shared doors. Sounds may be audible between connecting doors.
Hanalei Bay Resort fees are due at check-in to the resort and are collected by the front desk. These include a one-time fee of $50 per reservation, a reservation fee of $6.75 for every non-owner reservation request, a $25 a day resort fee, and a $20 fee per car a day for parking.
This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii, LLC.
Due to staffing shortages caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, the hotel restaurant and bars may be periodically closed.
Hanalei Bay Resort swim-up pool bar is indefinitely closed.
This is a privately owned unit in a resort. Since it is privately owned and rented, hotel-style housekeeping is not offered. There is no daily housekeeping.
Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Loved this room. Only thing I have to say is owner should include a microwave and a change of linens abd snorkel gear. Also better internet would of been helpful.

The decor in the room was very quaint and warm, and the view of the Hanalei bay from the balcony is exceptional. The Hanalei Bay Resort is a beautiful and relaxing place. I would only add that the bathtub and shower need to be remodeled. The room looks remodeled and is very comfortable but the tiles of walls in the shower are old and dirty. And so eas the tub. It's my only complaint.

Just wrapped up our trip to HBR and can’t say enough good things about it. The room was lovely and had a million dollar view from the lanai. The pool was wonderful and had a small sandy grotto for those with little ones to play which I thought was a nice touch. The grounds were beautiful, loved seeing all the tropical flowers blooming. The pub had the best view from the property and should be visited if for no other reason. An easy golf cart ride will land you on the most beautiful beach you will ever see, shady and private. Would give 6 stars if I could. Will def be back!

You could hear the connecting neighbor pretty easily and the roosters outside (they're all over Kauai so you will literally hear them your entire trip), but if you go in anticipating this, they aren't that big of an issue. Drops to a 4/5 simply because I sent 3 messages through vrbo prior to my trip and never received a response. Other hosts at Hanalei Bay Resort are likely more responsive.

The room was comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bed was comfy too. We really loved sitting on the balcony looking at Hanalei Bay and the picturesque mountains. It truly is a breath-taking sight to behold and we savored our mornings having coffee and breakfast on the balcony. Hanalei Bay Resort's pool and hot tub were also really attractive with lush plants, rocks and waterfalls. We enjoyed the walk to the beach and discovered a great swim area that was calm as the rock barrier kept waves from crashing to the shore. We also enjoyed the beach chairs provided in the condo and sitting by the ocean under the large-leafed fig trees which also were nice protection when it rained. We liked that there was a restaurant on site (convenient) with enjoyable live music. Nice touch. The only downside to our stay was the freezer was filled with frost which dripped. We opted to deal with that rather than have someone spend a few hours in our room defrosting it. Vacasa very graciously made amends by waiving the cleaning fee. Only other suggestion is to have two bowls versus one. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful decorated and a stellar view of Hanalei Bay! The pool was magical (my husband called it the Disney pool), and everything was sparkling clean. My only complaint: this unit did not have a kitchen -- at all. Not even a microwave, so we couldn't cook. It did have a small fridge and a coffee maker, but that was it. I wish this would have been disclosed at booking.
