Gorgeous property. The room suited our needs very well with 2 couples and two teens. Loved having beach gear available. The only two things that were difficult were the distance to the pool was very far and too far to walk for one of our group members. Also, the number of rules at the pool decreased our enjoyment somewhat —can’t bring outside drinks including water, no playing cards allowed and were not allowed to toss toys to be retrieved at the bottom of the pool—a game we play at every place we stay at. Pool very suited to adults but not as family friendly. Hot tub was very nice. Poolside drinks were delicious.

I enjoyed my stay in this property. We had more than we could hope for. Everything was perfect. Loved all of the extras such as access to beach chairs, boohie board, etc. It is a beautiful property and i would definitely return.

Unit was very spacious and the grounds were beautiful. A little bit of a walk to the pool/recreation area (10 minute walk) and to shopping/groceries/restaurants (7 minute drive). Correspondence with the property manager was excellent.

We stayed in our villa June 2023. It was clean, well stocked and comfortable. We appreciate all the little details like hand soap, shampoo etc, trash bags, bandaids and the list could keep going. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom (family of 4). The grounds are beautiful and easy walk to shoreline. Kona is about 40 minutes away but beach 69 north of the villa was our favorite. It is a sandy beach with shade. You will not regret renting this villa!

Wonderful resort, beautiful amenities. However, this unit had a direct view of new construction and morning sounds of guys arguing over the Porta potty so there might be a better location in the resort for your stay.

Perfect condo for a 1.5 week family stay in Waikoloa village. Had all of the essentials, and the subdivision (Hali'i Kai) has great amenities including a fantastic pool. Highly recommended!

Best property I’ve rented. Excellent location. Check in & out a breeze
Well stocked with supplies including beach necessities. Kitchen was perfectly stocked to prepare gourmet meals. Will be my choice every time I visit Waikoloa Beach area

Clean, spacious and close to all of the activities on the leeward (sunny) side of the island. Not terribly inconvenient to KOA either. Makes for a long day of driving if you’re into hiking Hawaii Volcano National Park, or visiting Hilo frequently. Very nice amenities near the Queens Marketplace and Kings Shops.

Exactly as described - if not better. Halii Kai is far more superb than paying for an overcrowded resort. We visited both hotel resorts nearby and were very glad we chose this property at Halii Kai instead - much more tranquil and much higher quality. We didn’t spend much time at the condo but it was in great order and beautifully decorated. As other visitors mentioned - it truly does have everything you may need. The owners clearly take pride in this condo and we’d love to return again for a slightly longer stay next time.

CONS (none of which were major issues to us):
Second story unit, no elevator
Very slow hot water circulation
10 min walk from the clubhouse/pool
No high chair/pack n play/kid or baby gear
Listing says unit sleeps 8, there are only blankets for 7. Meaning only one extra blanket in the unit. It needs another 2-3 for sure just to have.

Of all the places we've stayed in Hawaii (and there have been many, this was by far the best. We could walk from our condo to the Ocean Club where we could swim in the pool and eat in the restaurant. We ate there on three occasions because it was delicious and the service was great. It was also surprisingly reasonably priced. The pool was never crowded. At the Club, you are right at the water and we enjoyed a number of amazing sunsets. It was a big hit for the whole family.
