This is advertised as sleeping 7. That correct however the living room has seating for 4. One lounge chair that was broken. Couch covering worn and dirty.
The bed in the master bedroom was worn down on one side.
Seating for 4 at the kitchen table.
Only seating for 6 on the balcony.
Unable to get toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap or extra towels etc from the main office.
Overall disappointing for the $12,000 fees.

The views from the lanai are spectacular and the ocean sounds in the master bedroom are unparalleled. Art work is an extra bonus. Lots of extra equipment for beach and other activities. My family and I have stayed at many different short term rentals all over the world, over the years and this experience was truly exceptional in every aspect. The pictures do not do it justice.(Please prepare for a very lengthy review. I tried to break it up so it could be helpful 😁)
Communication - the unit is managed by Aloha properties who were readily available, helpful and easy to reach by email, text or phone call. They responded quickly to any questions. Providing a tremendous peace of mind

Check in ‐ was very simple. With very friendly and welcoming front staff.
The resort has lots of activities planned daily . Some additional amenities that are also available at neighboring facilities, I.E. a gym for a fee. (special shout out to Honey who was very helpful. If she didn't know the answers out. Above and beyond.)
The unit- Breathtaking! We arrived just after sunset 45 minute drive from the airport So the truly magnificent views weren't seen until the morning. We were greeted with a very nice quality tote bag as a gift. Which came in handy during the entire trip . Mahalo!
Very clean! My sister in law and I are neat freaks. We were impressed with how clean everything was. Every room and nook and cranny. We were also struck by the thoughtfulness and decor. Truly high-end finishes throughout the unit. Write down to the beach side colors and movement throughout. The granite in the kitchen is amazing. Gorgeous kitchen with breathtaking views of the ocean and palm trees.
The Kitchen ‐truly a fully stocked Even a blender for Pina colodas or smoothies. We prepared a dinner most nights. Because it was so easy. Grocery stores were a very short walking distance as well as the best fish market in town. Great spices provided.
Beds king, queen, and Murphy bed in the loft which were each extremely comfortable. I would say medium not too soft not too firm with very soft sheets.
Bathrooms. Clean and updated.

Absolutely loved staying here. Had read all the reviews and was highly impressed with all the feedback given and decided to stay at this unit. Loved, loved this place. We slept to the sound of the waves and woke up to the birds chirping. The unit was exceptionally maintained, had every cooking appliance needed as well as beach chairs, towels, etc.
Would definitely stay here again and encourage others to do so.

Before we even arrived on the island, Tina called us to let us know of a traffic issue in the area and made some recommendations. Knowing we would arrive late, she left the light on for us.
The home was very clean, and everything was in working order. WiFi was lightning fast. The two air conditioners worked well, but it did take a while for all rooms to fully cool down (typical of non-central AC systems). We did not take advantage of the nearby beach frequently, but it's an easy walk. The neighborhood appears somewhat gritty (a few broken down cars, etc.) but overall it was a good place to stay.

Condo was well equipped with everything you need and more. AC in every room. Convenient location to walk to stores, restaurants, grocery, etc. Check in staff very helpful and friendly with concierge service. Pool, tennis, shuffle board, putting greens, BBQs, etc on site. Would definitely recommend the stay.

This condo was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Maui. The layout and remodel choices are excellent. The view of the ocean and palm trees were priceless. The blinds kept the heat of the afternoon sun out but allowed you to still enjoy the view. Waking up to the ocean view and then walking out to the lanai to enjoy the morning was something I will never forget. Getting sun next to the ocean without getting sandy was a plus. The snorkling straight out from the condo was amazing. It was like being in an aquarium. The pool area, shuffle board, putting green and tennis courts were extras at this amazing location. Definitely something for everyone.The location is near other snorkeling sites, groceries, and restaurants without being in the middle of town. We are already talking about going back.

Wow, just WOW! This unit is absolutely perfect. The view alone makes it wonderful, but also the furnishings are gorgeous. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds super comfortable. There were 5 adults staying here and plenty of room to move about. The location is close to restaurants, stores and shopping. The beach is great and at loan tide easy to walk. It's a little rocky so bring water shoes if you plan to go snorkeling. We saw whales from our deck and were fortunate to have a minus tide at night and got to see a octopus. Super fun and all the resort staff were amazingly nice and helpful.

The property was incredible. The ocean front view was the best I have seen! You could enjoy it from all the main living spaces and the master bedroom. We spent a lot of time on the lanai and saw rainbows almost every morning and watched the sunset nearly every night. I even watched one sunset laying on the bed of the master bedroom resting after a long day. The location was really good and convenient to everything we did. The condo itself was updated, had a great layout and had everything you would need for your stay. There were many things we brought that the condo had. There were even boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, and beach chairs to use. You and walk to the beach right next door and see it from your lanai. The air conditioning and ceiling fans made the condo very comfortable even in the loft. This property was a big part of why this was one of the best vacations we have had. I will absolutely bring my family back to this property. The Papkea Resort was wonderful as well. Very well kept, great pool that was warm and had a hot tub. Several gas grills which we used one night while hanging out at the pool. I can honestly say we did not even turn on the tv's the entire stay even with two teenagers (16 & 17). The process to rent this property was easy and the management company sent all the information we needed for our vacation in a timely manner. The check-in process was easy. The only hesitation I had in renting this property was it did not mention an elevator and it was on the 4th floor. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived that there was an elevator.

We stayed here for 8 nights. We spent mornings and evenings on the lanai enjoying the ocean and low key resort. It was a great home base for heading into Lahaina and whalers village for dinners. The beach right outside the condo was perfect for boogie boarding, but if you want to snorkel it was a walk or quick car drive to find good places. We loved the condo and have it on our list for next time we go back.

We had an awesome visit. We have stayed multiple times at Papakea and this way the nicest unit so far. Very well equipped and decorated. Sitting on the balcony with an unobstructed view of the sunset was magnificent. Please be aware check out is at 10 am sharp. The morning our 10 day stay was ending there was a knock on the door at 10:02 a.m. The woman from the rental agency stood in the doorway with her arms crossed the next 30 min as we finished exiting the unit. It left a bad taste in our mouth as we felt she could have been a little more pleasant.

This was our third stay at papakea and our second stay in a unit with a loft. This was the nicest unit of the three units we have stayed in. It was spacious, re decorated in beautiful colors, the kitchen was so well stocked and clean, beds were comfy, and there were so many amenities such as boogie boards, pool noodles, and beach and bathroom towels. Top it all off with being ocean front and you’ve got one of the best units in Papakea!

Just wow! We brought our family here for one last family trip before shipping off our oldest to college. We had seven of us (three teenagers, two elementary age, and my husband and I). We had plenty of space and my kids loved the board games and puzzles. They are big time gamers but they actually were so consumed with the beach, directly in front of the property, the snorkeling equipment and boogie board equipment (provided by the property), and the evening activities, they didn’t touch a tv screen all week. I think our favorite part was really the location. The condo was just beautiful and had everything we needed - even a hair straightener! - but we just couldn’t get over the stunning view and being able to open the lanai doors and hear the ocean all day long. The AC units made it so no one got too hot. We used the beach in front of our condo a little bit, but also visited other beaches around the island. Our kids also liked the on site pool and pickle ball and tennis courts. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable week!!!
