Advertised as garden view and as we have stayed in this complex many times we thought this would be on the pool side but was facing the parking lot. Great corner location with big lanai. Ate all of our meals out there. Only small complaint was it would be nice to have real beach chairs instead of lawn chairs to take to the beach. Enjoyed our time back at the Maui Banyan.

Last minute trip to Maui for two. Condo was the perfect size for us. It was clean, quiet, & very comfortable. Location is convenient to beach, restaurants, shops, etc. Rental rate is appropriate for condo.

Check in was a piece of cake, just had to get a rental car pass from hotels front desk. Clean space, everything was in good working order. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside to this one rental was you are in the back building which makes it a bit of a walk to the front beach, still ended up driving to the beach cause we had chairs, coolers, beach umbrellas, toys. But definitely a nice spot, super close to pool and hot tub.

I’m gonna be honest as I look at reviews when booking. We visit Maui often and enjoy staying different places. The unit for the most part is correct. Has more dishes then one could possibly use. 3 different sets of dishes. New upgraded kitchen and shower. Tons of lights! DEFINITELY need to upgrade their furniture as couch squeaks and sinks when sitting, no support. The small round chair is a joke. The bed was comfortable though the blankets and comforter look like they are from 1970. There are NO beach chairs only 2 camping chairs. No umbrella or other beach stuff expect 1 boogie board and small bag kids toys. There is a parking lot across from unit though know after 5pm more then likely full and will have to use parking garage. The safe was locked when we arrived. Reached out to the 3 numbers listed expect for the Security one. Left messages and not one phone call back. Reached out to property manager and she told me to call the numbers. When I told I did except the security number there was silence. I’d except more. I’d stay at the Maui Bayan again though not this unit.

We had a wonderful stay in Kihei. Listing is accurate. Bed was comfortable, location is at the back of the resort for a bit of a walk down to the beach - but not far. Parking close by. Lots of shops and eating places within walking distance. Appreciated the extras that came with the property like the large cooler bag, tupperware containers for packing lunches, beach towels, etc. Would book again! Only concern was it was difficult to reach the property manager to confirm the check in process - didn't get emailed instructions until a couple days before we were scheduled to fly in. Maybe this is normal? A few small ants and ant traps centralized in the kitchen by the sink - again maybe for the tropical conditions this is normal?

I was a solo traveler. It was nice, peaceful, welcoming. Coffee, shampoo, and conditioner aren’t much so bring your own or buy some at a local shop. There are plenty of dishes, plates, knives, containers for cooking food there.

Maui Banyan is an excellent resort, located across the street from a gorgeous beach, Kamaole 2, a quick walk. The condo is at the top end furthest away from the street, which is excellent because it's quiet. The lanaii faces the driveway/parking lot, which gives shade all day long. Other condos facing the mountain ("mountain view") have intense sun most of the day.
Condo amenities are quite good. The only reason I gave it a four star rating is that there were several mechanical/plumbing/light bulb/wifi problems which were only partially addressed by maintenance.
