We are a retired couple and stayed two weeks at this apartment and loved it here. The location is superb right across from white sands beach. Only a few minutes away is a bay that is great for snorkeling. The apartment complex also has a nice sized pool. The apartment has plenty of space and is well appointed. The host has suggested many places to visit or tour. The days can be long when you take a day tour on this island but then back at the apartment to chill was great. We can highly recommend this place with a caring host.

Door combo lock is very convenient, no way to lose keys.
Proximity to White Sands beach is what makes these condos invaluable.

This property was the perfect fit for our family of four! The location across from the beach is amazing. It was nice to have the soft sand beach so close for days we wanted to chill. The pictures on VRBO from the lanai don’t do the view justice. I sat out in the morning with my coffee and we could enjoy sunsets from there or make the short trek across the street to the beach. I could hear the waves hitting the surf as I lay in bed at night. The condo was clean, spacious and had one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever been in! Kathy was an excellent communicator. She answered questions beforehand and checked in with us during our trip to make sure all is well. Check in and out were clear and easy. On top of all the magic of the Big Island, our rental experience was fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! We definitely dream of coming back. Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your home!

The beach at Magic Sands is right across the street and was fun for swimming and snorkeling. When the surf was too rough, we enjoyed the pool back at the condo.
The central location was excellent for exploring Kona and the double parking spot was very convenient.
Overall, our stay was excellent and we will be back!

We fell in love with Magic Sands a few years ago and wanted to stay close to it after three years of not travelling. This condo and common spaces gave us the vacation we all needed. The condo was fully equipped with some extras. From the master bedroom you can hear the waves from Magic Sands and at night the pools lights glowed into the room. The shared BBQ space was easy to schedule, there was even space to sit and eat by the pool. Booking this condo was easy, and entering and exiting was just as simple.
This is a great location for travelling around the big island, visiting the snorkelling beaches and the downtown area.

We love this condo and it’s location. It’s close to the beach and the trolley stops right out front making it convenient to take into town for shopping and dinner. Kathy, the owner, is very helpful and gave us lots of great information about Moana Loa which erupted while we there. Very cool.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kathy's place at White Sands Village. The condo was perfect for our family of four, our kids loved the pool and the easy access to Magic Sands beach. We drove all over the island from this location and appreciated the dedicated, covered parking spot so we weren't hunting for a spot when we returned late in the day. We enjoyed having access to beach/pool toys, snorkel gear, chairs and a umbrella. The furniture and beds were very comfy and we loved all the special Hawaiian art they have on display throughout the condo. The lanai is very large and we ate most of our meals there. The poolside BBQ area was great. Kathy is an amazing host and we really appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtful communication she provides.
The tennis courts were still under repair (Nov 2022) but we really didn't miss having court access with all of the other adventures available around the island. Magic Sands beach park is also under renovation but we were still able to access the beach through the far end of the park. There was significant construction noise throughout the day as they tore down the old beach shower structures, but hopefully the construction of the new facility isn't as loud.
The residents at this complex are typically on the mature side and the vibe at the pool is very reserved and quiet. The pool rules are a bit strict for kids (compared to your average hotel) such as no jumping, balls, or games like Marco-polo. I was a bit on edge trying to keep my kids from splashing too much or talking loudly but everyone was generally welcoming and nice.
Overall we loved this place and would definitely recommend!

Kathy was great to work with and sent lots of clear communication. The condo itself was more spacious than other waterfront condos that we’ve rented. It easily accommodated my family of four (me, hubby, and kids 13 & 10) and we didn’t feel cramped. We used the entire space including the kitchen (which had everything we needed) and lanai every day of our stay. The building may be older, but the updates and appliances made the condo feel fresh. The view is beautiful and it was lovely to wake each morning to the sound of the waves and birds chirping!

Wonderful experience at Kathy's condo! We really appreciated all the extras she has there - beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkels, etc and her recommendations! Also loved coffee every morning on the lanai watching and listening to the waves. Only issue we had was we were not aware of entering the 2 digits on the keypad before the actual code so it took us a bit to get in but that was more of a user issue 😏

We enjoyed our stay in Kona during the second week of March. ( family of 4 with one teen and one adult child). The apartment was well stocked with kitchen and basic living items plus beach items like folding chairs, mats, boogie boards etc. We used AC on our first day only and left the doors to the veranda open the rest of the days for the cool sea breeze. Location of this apartment is fantastic - close to beaches, shopping and food. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The hosts were easy to work with. Having an elevator was great as we did not have to lug our suitcases up 3 floors. We would have no hesitation in staying here again .

This lovely condo is steps away from one of the best beaches on the island, and a short drive from downtown Kona. It was super convenient for anything we wanted to do (unlike some of the fancy resorts).
Kathy was great to work with, anticipating our questions and needs and taking care we had a wonderful visit. We’d been advised to stop at Costco for provisions on the way from the airport; I’m glad we didn’t, since the condo has all the beach gear we wanted.
If waking to the sound of waves, and walking across the street with a beer to enjoy the sunset from the beach sound like heaven to you, this is the place to stay!

Found this property right across from the beach with all the accommodations one could ask for. Property was safe, clean, well taken care of and as described in the ad. Pictures don't do the view justice. The lanai offers beautiful views with the sounds of the waves crashing the beach.
Downtown is a short drive but provides great restaurants and shops for all your souvenirs.
If you plan an excursion while here find a night snorkeling trip with manta rays..wow!

Because of the stress induced with the last two years of social & political drama, a break was needed & was found 100 fold as soon as I arrived!! I kinda knew things would be fine because Kathy, the owner, was so wonderful from the first email to the last text, but I had no idea just how fine things would be. The property is in a prime location- the master bedroom is lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean, the other bedroom wakes to the view of it, the best beach & a good restaurant are across the street-it is everything one could want for a breathtaking & breath giving vacation!! This property was ideal for our stay in Kona. It is directly across the road from the beach, and only a short drive from everything in Kona. The owner has equipped the property with everything one might need, down to a cooler and water shoes. Need a beach chair? It's in the closet. Coffee grinder? Just check the cupboard. The owner was very involved, she even text me to let me know the volcano was erupting. Checking in and out was a breeze, the rooms were clean and very nice. We aren't too hard to please but we couldn't have been happier with our stay here.

This condo is in a complex we love and have stayed at before, with BBQ, pool, and hot tub, for when the kids are tired of the beach.
Condo balcony has ocean view form morning breakfast and coffee on the lanai.
Right across the street from Magic Sands Beach, so we took chairs and wine to watch the sunset most evenings. Short way from great snorkeling too!
We would definitely love tostay here again in the future!

We loved the location of this property. Coming in from our long flight it was so nice to just walk across the street to swim a bit in the ocean. Also, the restaurant/bar across the street was easy and yummy to eat at! The sunsets are just gorgeous from this beach as well. The condo is so comfortable, quiet and everything like the TV, kitchen appliances and doors and windows were really easy to use. Just awesome!

The view is of the pool and partial view of beach/ocean/sunset which is spectacular. Parking space and elevator were conveniently located. Not only is this condo directly across from the beach but it is so clean and she includes so many beach items for use. The pool is huge and it stays open until 10 PM. The only complaint I have has nothing to do with the condo it just has to do with the island itself… There is very limited taxi and or Uber services so you probably need to have a drive wherever you go. We will definitely be back!
