We were there during the wild fires. We had several residents of the condo make it very clear that we were not wanted there, some regarding fires some not. We had to leave early due to no electricity for days and asked for a partial refund, the company would not respond. No sheets on some of the beds, very dingy in some areas of the condo. Screen on sliding door kept falling off. Definitely could use functional window or air conditioner upstairs. Had to borrow fans from one of the other units.

This is my second stay in Polynesian Shores. It truly is a hidden gem. Love it so much. It’s quiet. It has wonderful amenities. The turtles are amazing off the shoreline. Love love love !! My condo had chairs umbrella cooler ice packs to borrow. Everything was wonderful.

Everything was great! Easy check in and out . The most beautiful scenery. We could see whales right in front of property! We liked that it was a quiet property. You can go to town if you wanted to party. Would return to this property in a heartbeat. Would give every a 5.

This condo unit was a disappointment compared to other condos within Polynesian Shores that we or family members have stayed. The TV system is not user friendly and all the cables and wires heaped into a corner under a strange looking contraption to hold tv looks awful. This condo needs a good scrub, new paint and a renovation. Toilets were slow to flush, upstairs shower is large, but shower head only points into one small corner. The noise transference from next door is annoying - and light on stairwell is covered in grunge. Newer pedestal sink in upper bathroom has chunks missing from sink and pedestal sits in front of pipes and looks awful. If the pedestal sink was purchased to fit over the pipes, the overall look would be better. Condo has the feel that repairs and appliances are purchased and done as cheap as possible and no thought given to the overall aesthetics. The plastic treads on stairs are disgusting. There is much more aesthetically wrong with this condo. Bree, the property manager, went above and beyond to rectify the tv and other issues with this condo. We have no complaint about her, the outdoor maintenance teams, or the location. We will stay at Polynesian Shores again, but not this condo.

Our guests did not use the downstairs shower for the whole stay as the temperature was too cold. This was my 4th time staying at Polynesian Shores in the last 14 years, and I have to say it wasn't as good as I remember it being. The added hot tub since we were last there is an amazing amenity, but I would not call this complex family-friendly, ruined by two permanent residents.One man lives in a bottom unit, somewhere in the 120s, and he was the biggest jerk I have ever encountered in my life. My family had a 14 hour travel day with a 3 hour time difference. We got the kids (12, 9 and 5 years old) to bed at about 10:00 PM, but due to the time change, our youngest was up at 3:00 AM. We kept quiet until 7:00 AM, and then got up and had some breakfast. Our kids were so eager and excited to swim in the pool, but we made them wait until 8:00 until the pool opened.After 45 minutes of swimming, the aforementioned man came up to me and my husband and asked us to "keep it down". I smiled and said "I know they're a bit loud, but they are in a pool...they're so excited to be here and swim." He then told me "then maybe you should take them out". I explained to him that we had a 14 hour travel day the day before and they've been up since 3 in the morning, and they just needed to burn some energy off. I was so upset I went over to the pool, closer to my kids, then he kept complaining to my husband, who'd also had enough and told the man off.We were so flustered that we removed our exuberant 5 year old out of the pool (which I regret doing) because he was being "too loud". We understand that kids can be loud, be we do our best to not let them be out of control and over the top. THEY ARE KIDS! They literally haven't swam more than once in the last 2 years of the pandemic, all they could have done was swim in that pool in our 10 days spent on Maui and they would have been the happiest kids in the world.As for the unit #211, it's old, needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned. Our rental was very clean, supplied all necessities including beach towels, sand chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler. The beds were perfect for our girl’s trip, a king, 2 twins, and pull out sofa. I stayed in the loft and thought it would be warm, but the evening breeze and fan made it perfect. The view from the lanai was one of the best ever (our 6th stay on the island). There are food, drinks, beaches, and snorkel rentals within walking distance. We love this place and hope to bring our 3 generation family back here! Mahalo!

The Condo was cozy and beautiful. My kids really enjoyed the stay! Ocean view was awesome. It's a beautiful to have a cup of coffee with a beautiful Ocean right in front of you :) Parking was a breeze! The condo was handed over neat and clean and the host was very friendly! Having to use the common washer/dryer outside the condo was the only inconvenience we had, rest all good :)

Our 1st stay in Lahaina was a Kaanapali resort. This is our 2nd time staying at Polynesian Shores. Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, pretty well stocked. Responsive management. Great views, nice grounds. Good location, a great alternative to the Kaanapali crowds.There is great snorkeling, however, the small sand beach that was there during our stay 2016 was washed out 2021 and made getting out to the water through lava rock VERY treacherous. Dive booties would have been a lifesaver for climbing over rocks to where flippers cloud be put on.
