The property was a great location! However, when you have 5 adults and only obe working bathroom, (toilet), it can be a little tough. When talking to the manager, they already knew the tolet wasn't working. Waiting on a part! Overall we had great adventures and fun.

We had a great stay at the Papakea Resort! Great location and nice place. Really appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards! Loved the hot tub and pool and being so close to some amazing beaches! Property Manager was very attentive to all our needs and definitely this great place to stay in paradise!

It’s a beautiful clean condo with a great view of the ocean. The grounds are well maintained with 2 clean pools/hot tubs. It’s a great location within walking distance to shops, beach, and restaurants. We plan to rent again.

We had a total of 7 stay at this condo and I was initially worried that it would be too cramped but it worked out. It was our little family get together and members flew in from CA, MO and NY. It was the perfect location and there’s was plenty of amenities nearby. Miranda, the host, was helpful and communicative. She called in advance to let us know the master bath wasn’t working so that at least set our expectations. It was unfortunate but at least there was 2 other bathrooms. Would book again.

The property manager was very helpful with us in regards to issues with the unit. I felt though it wasn’t decently cleaned. It felt a bit grimy actually. The view was gorgeous and the grounds were lovely.

The condo worked great for our family arrangement with the adults downstairs and our granddaughter upstairs in the loft. It was nice to have the three full baths. The property was just as advertised in the listing and our communications with Miranda, the property manager were always good. Miranda was very responsive and professional. The grounds at Papakea are well maintained and very pretty. The pools and ponds were nice and there's plenty of space for people to be out on the lawns watching the sunset. The location is great for walking to the ABC store and lots of restaurants and beaches. We enjoyed the reef out front down to the park when the tide was low, but there's really no beach in front of the property. The master bath has been remodeled and is very nice. The carpets and cabinets could use a little scrubbing. Overall this property met our needs.

Very much as nice as advertised. Everything worked fine in the apartment for the 6 of us. Location is great. Snorkeling with turtles off the beach. Amazing sunsets. Tennis and Pickleball open and avilable. Easy to access anything on the island. good reception service.

The pictures on VBRO accurately represented the property with the exception of the view. IT WAS GREAT! The photos don't do it justice. Very nice pool and hot tub as well.
The location was great. Close to town and restaurants. Walking
distance to a couple of beaches.
The condo was a little dated but clean. The kitchen was very well appointed. Miranda was great she found a condo, in the same complex, to rent for the day as our flight didn't leave until 9:00pm

Location and overall property is great. I would highly recommend. The specific unit is a bit out of date inside with a few items needing some fixing ( example shower, icemaker ) and some basic things which could be improved ( pillows, utensils, ceiling fans, etc). In addition the set up led to two of the rooms being "hot" at night with ceiling fans set very low and no small fans to use to cool of the unit.
I have a rental property and am very conscious of the appearance and functionality for Guests. This location is a great place to stay but the unit could take a little TLC investment to make it more comfortable and eventually an update.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui. We stayed in Papakea E403… Plenty of space. One of the showers was out of service, but we rolled with it lol 😃
All of our activities we could easily get to.
Actually perfect location for all we did. Volcano bike ride, Highway to Hana, several hiking trails, beach, pools & several golf courses.

Unit needed some repairs. Master shower not working was a little inconvenient. A burner on stove was not working and microwave handle broken. We were given a small reimbursement for the inconviences.

We had a fantastic 4 nights in this property. We were a party of 7 adults and 1 teenager. There was room for everyone to sleep. The balcony looks over the pool and to the left is a fantastic ocean view. We used the BBQ downstairs and watched the sunsets from lounges on the grass area above the ocean. Everyone in our party loved this space.
Downsides of the property or things that bothered some in our party.. noisy birds that make a ruckus at dawn and dusk. I enjoyed them… those with rooms that were on that side did not like being woke up so early by them… nothing they can do about them. If you are sensitive to noise, this might be a problem for you. We just got up early and hit the beach. master bath shower does not work. They don’t inform you of this until it’s too late to cancel. I think it shows as a 3 bed 2 bath in the listing. So just know you have 3 toilets and two showers. It worked out well for our group of 8. The hot water heater kept going off. The repairman came in the evening after hours to fix it. We saw what he did and just did it ourselves all the other times it tripped. I let them know and they said they were going to fix it.
None of these issues were a deal breaker for us. The location to the pool is great, it’s not too far from parking lot. They have carts to use when bringing groceries up. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back to the Papakea again.

Absolutely loved the property. The views were killer and the resort was to die for. We had a large party staying and I do wish we had been notified that the largest shower would be unavailable but overall it was an amazing stay. I would’ve loved to have a fan for the back room as well as it was almost impossible to sleep in but we were prepared for a warm vacation so it didn’t bother us too much. I highly recommend this location and would absolutely come back!

Papakea Resort is a beautiful property, with many amenities. You can snorkel right off the property and the grounds are gorgeous. The property is also nicely located across the street from many food options, including a Times Supermarket.

This place was perfect for our family of 6–2 parents and 4 teen kids. So much to do on the property—nice beach/waterfront, two beach/hottub/grill areas, two putt putt
courses, and pickle ball under the lights. Location was great also—easy access to beautiful snorkeling beaches and downtown Lahaina. The accommodations were comfortable with amazing views and the hosts were very helpful. Highly recommended!
