Very family friendly. Kitchen was spotless, beds were comfortable, AC worked great, but the pool and hot tub were the best part! Nice and warm, nicely lit at night, easy fun. Another small but still helpful amenity was having the private washer/dryer in the condo. It made packing light and carry-on luggage possible. Thanks!

We had no interaction with the owner but the front desk personnel and grounds crew were first rate, helpful, and welcoming. The unit was exactly as pictured except the second bedroom and master bathroom were a tad small. Master bedroom otherwise was spectacular and the shower water pressure was awesome. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved being able to run to the pool and BBQ at will and no afternoon sun on the lunia was great. Four adults were very comfortable and oh so happy.

We loved this place. Great location with beautiful view. Kids had fun running in the grass outside and looking at the fish pond. It was a great location right next to the pool and the mini golf course. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this condo. The unit is very comfortable and has a nice patio and good view of the koi pond/garden. It was nice to be on the ground floor so our kids could just go in and out to the courtyard or pool. Comfortable beds and furniture, and a functional kitchen. The complex is awesome, with two great pools, a beautiful location right on the water, walking access to an excellent sandy beach (south), and central to good beaches for snorkeling/swimming. There is a grocery store and several shops and restaurants within walking distance. We would highly recommend this VRBO and would definitely stay here again!

We got there after a long fight and we were happy to be staying in such a nice place. Lots of room to spread out and loved the ground floor for the kids to walk out onto the putting green and fountains in the central garden area. We would stay here again!

The amenities and resort are outstanding. The property or unit itself was disappointing. The air conditioner didn't work (the manager did give us a call and tell us a temporary unit was there) but the bedrooms were really really hot and uncomfortable sleeping and there was no follow up calls. The washer and dryer are awful. That is something that people count on dor packing purposes. The washer doesn't wring anything out and the dryer took so many cycles when with just 3 or 4 articles in it to get something dry. We encountered 3 large cockroaches........I am only telling you all this because the unit pictures are great but really didn't live up to how much was charged. One can't complain much about being in maui and the resort was top notch, but the owners of j102 should be aware of those few things that mean alot to people when they are spending their hard earned money. I appreciate the time and would stay at the resort again for sure.

We loved this condo. Super clean, was central to what we wanted to do the west side. One of the few places with a hot tub for relaxing. Staff was nice and everything was explained well. They even had a selection of spices for cooking.

The condo had everything you could need - plenty of towels and beach towels, comfortable bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, ground floor access to beautiful property grounds, tennis and pickle ball courts, shuffle board, pool and hot tub. Location was also perfect with oceanfront view and walking distance to stores, restaurants and food trucks. Would definitely recommend, and stay in again if we ever find ourselves back in Maui.

This was such a great place to stay at especially when having little kids. The community offers pools and ocean access, small beaches close by and the property management was super helpful and nice.
The apartment itself was super clean, spacious and had everything you needed. Even snorkeling gear, beach towels and beach chairs that we used daily. The kitchen had everything you needed and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Thank you again I would totally recommend to friends and family.

Ground floor access and veranda serene with the practice putting greens and koi pond. 2 pools on property did not use. Pools better for kids. Moped and scooter rentals at doorstep. Amazing seafood takeout at good value within 1 block. Food trucks close by Couldn’t figure the fan in second bedroom. Great to have washer and dryer in unit but small capacity. Waterfront. It has a sea wall that has rocky shore. Saw lots of whales.

Condo #J102 in Papakea resort is terrific. It was very clean and decorated in a cozy manner. The view of the garden and waterfalls outside the patio is beautiful. I traveled with my daughter and friends. We spent most days at either the pool or on the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. We saw whales every day. It has a fantastic view. If you want to stay at a wonderful condo with great ocean views, I recommend this one.

The Papkea Resort is a great place to stay. Nice grounds and pools. We had a ground floor unit, which I highly recommend. It gives you easy access to the grounds. For me the only draw back is there is no beach on the property, only a sea wall. You can use the beach next door. However it’s only a small section of Kaanapali beach. To get to the main part of Kaanapali you need to navigate rocks which are continually hit by waves to get to a staircase which leads to a walkway connecting the two parts of the beach. I found the south part of Kaanapali beach much more beautiful than the north part where to resort is located.

This was the first Maui vacation that my family got to experience. It was absolutely amazing! Even more so, was our vacation rental. Our place was in a perfect location close to the beaches, convenience stores, food trucks and clinics. Our place was spacious and clean and had all the supplies and utensils needed as well as items for the beach. It was really a home away from home. The property management team was very helpful and attentive to any questions or needs we had. We were very happy with our stay. We can't wait to come back. I highly recommend J102 at Papkea Resort. The condo was clean and the management company was really prompt answering my questions during our stay.
The location on the property was convenient to the pool without being so close that you were disturbed by any noise there.
The grounds were really well maintained and having both the grocery store and a food truck pod out on the main road was convenient.
Some guests renting a nearby unit said ours was much nicer than theirs and I would definitely recommend staying here for friends looking for a west Maui spot.

We stayed in a first floor condo near the swimming pool/ocean and could not have been happier. The resort is very clean and well maintained, and they have lots of fun activities. There is no beach to speak of on the resort proper, but it is a 5 minute walk along its stone seawall to Kaanapali beach where there is plenty of sand to relax on, at least at lower tides. There is an ABC store, plus a very good supermarket and other services within walking distance of the property. The grills are plentiful and in good working order, so we cooked most of our meals by the pool. Would definitely recommend this place or come again.

Our party of five had another great stay at Papakea. The condo we staid this time was nice, clean and had all we needed. The kitchen was equipped for cooking quick meals for breakfast and dinner. Both bedrooms were comfortable and we had a great night sleep. We highly recommend this place.

My family and my parents stayed at this property. It was essential to have a ground floor condo for my parents due to their more limited mobility. My sister and her family stayed in a different ground floor unit close by and it was great for the kids to be able shuttle between units independently. Our unit was the more popular of the two units--perhaps because of the fact that my parents were at our unit; however, our condo was well equipped which made meals easier.
During COVID restrictions, it was also essential key to have a kitchen. Popular restaurants are often booked up--even for takeout. Another option for dining (dinner only) is the food trucks that are stationed a couple blocks away (walkable). The lone downside with the location is that while a view of the ocean is a short walk away, the beach is a bit farther. We found ourselves driving to the beach many times; however, this is not a huge detraction because there is beach access parking.
The beds were comfortable as was the condo. Our particular unit, J102, had a great morning view of the putting green and pond just in front of the patio. It was also a short walk to the pool and a view of the ocean. At the pool, there were BBQs (which we used once), and there was never an issue with regards to grill availability. The condo was clean. We never had an issue with parking. Check-in and check-out did not have any issues. We used the Papakea Resort business office (located in the back of the building of the office where check-in is located) to print out boarding passes and luggage tags. The concierge had some helpful tips. Should also note that many people staying here took advantage of the tennis and pickleball courts. Papakea had many folks staying here, but it never felt crowded like at the hotels on the beach
The owners property management group, Quam Properties, were quite responsive. After I bought ingredients to make smoothies, I found out that the blender did not have a pour spout cap. I contacted Quam and they replaced the blender within a day.
Overall, I would recommend this unit--and especially if you need a ground floor unit for folks with limited mobility. Mahalo to the owners for a great stay!

This was a very nice updated unit. Unit is just like the pictures. On the ground floor right near the putting green. They have boogie boards and golf clubs which was great. Kitchen is well stocked. Papakea is a low density beautiful complex right on the ocean.

This is a great location. It’s close to hotels, restaurants, and shopping - and most importantly, the water! The resort has a pool, ponds, mini golf, and shuffleboard. There are plenty of beach chairs available. It’s not right on the sand but there is a sea wall where you can sit and take in the gorgeous sunset every night. The unit was mostly equipped with what we needed but we ran out of some bathroom supplies early in the stay and had to purchase our own. I’d also recommend replacing the shower curtain - one was a bit moldy on the bottom. Otherwise, the place was perfect. We loved sitting on the lanai during the occasional Maui rain and took advantage of the supplied board games in the closet. We would definitely come back!!
