Hale Kamaole is great location for rest and relaxation. The 5 min walk to the beach right across the street is ideal. The unit also had all the necessary items to enjoy the beach. The property is professionally maintained and has nice pools and community BBQ grills to enjoy.

Our 2 weeks in Unit 133 was great. We have been to Hale Kamaole a number of times. We would return, however Maui has become a very expensive place to visit. Thanks you for the clean unit that is well stocked and a good location

The bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of towels and supplies. The location was perfect and provided quick access to the beach, restaurants, walking paths, and more. We would definitely stay there again.

This was indeed, the perfect location. The beach and parks are walking distance and grocery stores and good restaurants are 5-10 min driving distance. Condo was super clean and neighbors were quiet. I'd recommend couples and families to definitely stay here.

We appreciated the ground level suite as we had a toddle with us. The play equipment was a bonus for all of us! Tennis rackets were a nice surprise. There could have been more dishes available as we had to borrow from another unit we had family in as well.

There from Thursday to Monday. NO WiFi or cable! Limited mobility for an older traveller meant we planned to watch movies indoors. Called Spectrum, they said owner needed to call and set up account. Property managers were very nice but their hands were tied regarding owners requirement contacting Spectrum directly. Tried to contact owner. Absolutely no response.

Worst room condition in nearly 40 years our family has stayed at Hale Kamaole. Soiled carpets, broken ceiling fan (bedroom), bugs in kitchen & bathroom (even though they sprayed after our 1st request, 2nd & 3rd complaints went unanswered), mildew at bottom of shower curtain liner, shower faucet very difficult to use, broken dishwasher shelf, no kitchen towels, soiled hot pads. We stayed in this unit several years ago & only rebooked this unit because we were told it was upgraded & liked the location.

Having stayed at Hale Kamaole many times previously, we love the complex. Well run, great location, friendly people. But did not enjoy this unit. To be fair, it was priced lower than many of the other units, so I understand you get what you pay for. But these are the items that need addressing: (1) 4 light bulbs in the unit are burned out. (2) garbage disposal was leaking (fixed during our stay). (3) the bed mattress was fine, but the sheets (while clean) are worn out (tiny cotton balling on the sheets are uncomfortable). (4) cheap foam bed pillows are uncomfortable, and would suggest a variety of pillow types. (5) Palm plant blocking the patio needs to be severely trimmed. (6) batteries in the flashlight are dead. (7) would have been nice to have more cable channel choices (minimum service). But these things can be fixed with a minimum of cost. The unit in general needs upgrading, in particular the bathroom/shower area, but I understand that is costly. In summary, the unit was mostly functional, furnishings and the kitchen were just fine. And since we love the complex itself, our stay was still enjoyable. Hope this somewhat critical review is taken as the title says...opportunities for improvement.

The unit was was just as advertised, in a great location close to the upper pool. We would come back. Our housekeeper was especially friendly and helpful. The only problem we encountered was a loud air conditioner that finally broke in the middle of the night with load BANG near the end of our stay. Our housekeeper asked for it to be repaired for us and it was quickly, but it didn't really cool the air after that. It just operated as a fan. Apart from that, we enjoyed the stay and would come back.

Everything we needed was there. Just a few tips to add to the rental! - A fire extinguisher. Due to the accident that happened to the other condo last year, there should always be a fire extinguisher accessible or stated where it’s located. We were pretty short of cups to drink out of. Also the dryer lint was about 3 inches thick. That can be a fire hazard so make sure that’s emptied every so often. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I was wondering if this condo would be available next year- same time?

This is the 4th time we’ve stayed in 133. We’ve always felt comfortable that unit and love the proximity to the pool and BBQ. Sure, there are things that can be updated but we feel it’s all aesthetic as everything is clean and works well. We’ll continue coming back to Hale Kamaole!

This unit was comfortable but needs updating. The bathroom is in serious need of an update and the LR and bedroom carpets carpets could do with replacing with wood or other flooring - it was hard to know how clean the carpets were. There was a musty odour in the bedroom. The kitchen cabinetry is dated and in order to get the plates you need to walk around the peninsula into the LR area. The LR hide a bed was old and uncomfortable and I can't imagine sleeping on it. Given how much we paid per night I would expect something better than what we got. We rented another unit at Hale Kamaole at the same time that was lovely; like night and day compared to this one. And finally, get rid of the fake plants - they're just dust catchers!
