We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The condo was exactly as advertised and the views are beautiful from the balcony. The pool and hot tub were nice. The staff was friendly. The grocery is in walking distance and there are several great restaurants close by. We had a wonderful time.

Not as promised. Lots of non-functional equipment including AC system. Lights out, missing lampshades, bent pans, had to fix range hood, mold growing in shower on ceiling. Etc.
Property manager was good to work with, but it took a few days and the place was stifling. Especially top bedroom. Owner promised a refund of deposit for cleaning, but that has not shown up yet two weeks after being promised.
Many issues were due to prior renters NOT cleaning or notifying property manager about issues. The place could use a good rework and thorough cleaning. AC needs to be fixed and the listed AC for bedroom needs to be installed. The temporary provided was up on two stacked drawers so it could vent. It worked and that was good, just now what a permanent solution should be.
Owner appears to be a reasonable person who is trying, but dealing long distance. This can be a very nice place after it is reworked and issues fixed.
View of ocean is nice, most of the view of the West Maui mountains is really the roof of the adjacent building. Grounds are well kept. Note that you need to put time on a timer every 6 hours for the AC or it shuts off.

This was my first time booking a VRBO and I was quite pleased with the overall experience. This location is close to the beach. We were lucky to see turtles swimming by. This location is also close to a huge food trucks station with many options for dinner. We walked their for dinner a couple of the nights. We also walked to Dukes for dinner and live music. There is also a shopping center right across the street with a grocery store.
Property was very spacious and greatly accommodated our family of 4. The only minor complaint that I have would be that the living room AC didn’t quite cool the downstairs bedroom even with the bdrm door open. It wasn’t really a big deal because we slept with the fan on, but want to mention for future guest.
Would definitely book again.

The condo was very nice but had some issues with the upstairs sleeping loft. (1) burnt out light bulb on dresser lamp (2) dresser drawers are not closing (3) need to stand on bed to pull chain for ceiling fan/light.

It was a short 3 day stay. Great views. Condo well equipped. Pool area was nice! Only issue is the Air Conditioner was on a 2 or 3 hour power timer that lets the condo get warm if your gone all day. Took a little time to cool down if you like your rooms cool. I would return if we were going to be able to stay at the complex using the facilities during the day because I could reset the timer when needed. I get conserving energy, but paying good money and I want a somewhat cool condo when I return from a beach day

The condo was very clean and exactly as described. The property was well manicured. Check-in was easy peasy and the front desk personnel were very nice! Our staycation was a short 6-person getaway and the condo fit us comfortably with 2 bathrooms. There was an issue with a leaky toilet but Dave came right away and then called a plumber to repair it within the hour. Dave also brought a new coffee maker since we had difficulty brewing with the first coffee maker. The cabinets and kitchen were well stocked. Our requests were handled in a timely and professional manner! Thank you very much for a wonderful Maui staycation!!

My friend and I had a great time staying at this property. It was nice to have the extra space, but could easily accommodate a few more. The unit is a great location to the pool and there are plenty of things to walk in the area, if you head to Duke's make sure you make reservations ahead of time. The only thing it didn't really have was a large beach, but there is some sand to access the water, so it does exist. We drove to other beaches for our beach days. One small note is that the instructions for the AC weren't super clear so we had to call the property manager about how to turn it on, he answered right away and was able to assist (you have to turn a timer/dial on the wall before it will turn on). It was very handy having beach gear there available for use. Definitely would stay again.

This was the perfect spot to crash in the evenings after busy days in Maui! We loved the putting greens, pools, and sunsets! The unit was well-appointed and made it easy for us to cook rather than eating out much. Close to all our favorite parts of Maui! We struggled a bit to keep the master bedroom cool, but we were probably doing something wrong. The AC works well for the living room and loft and there are plenty of fans throughout. Loved keeping the windows open for the cool evening trade winds! Thank you so much!

This property was perfect for our family of 5. The condo was spacious and clean. It has everything you need and more. Within walking distance to coffee shops, food trucks restaurants, etc. Just a 5 minute drive to Black Rock and Whaler’s Village. We will definitely be back.

From my experience problems at VRBO properties are rare but of course they can happen. When we arrived our condo had not been cleaned and after being on the road for 14 hours we were not all too pleased. Contacted the property manager and he had a crew there in 20 minutes and had the placed clean in a little over an hour. Also contacted the owner and they went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Again not if there is a problem but how it is handled. As much as we all try to prevent issues things happen. This owner showed me that this was a rare event and did a great job of making us happy. Would stay again just based on their response.
The property itself is in a great location and had everything that we needed.

The grounds were beautiful and so well kept. Walk to grocery store, fish market and food trucks. Close to the beach, but if you want to explore you should rent a car. You do not have beach access from the complex. Great vacation.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The home was clean and well kept. There were a few minor problems but nothing that couldn’t be taken care of by us. My wife and I stayed here with our 1.5 year old daughter. Our daughter has eczema and requires her room to be in the low 70°s. We had to keep the AC on and fans on non-stop. The home stayed cool and she had no flairups. There were not many places that we found that came with AC. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking to say in Maui and within walking distance to the beach.

Papakea resort was great for our family of 5. Grounds were immaculate and views were great. My boys especially enjoyed the pickle ball court and mini golf course. The condo itself was good, the back bedroom was a little warm at night but other than that it was great.

We loved our stay at Papakea K407. The condo is beautiful and was very well equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean and had a beautiful view of the ocean. Everything was just as presented and advertised. It was just like the photos showed. Great views of the ocean from the living room and lanai.
The condo had everything we could want or need for our vacation. Lots of towels, lots of kitchen equipment, dishes, spices, etc. They have a closet full of high quality beach chairs, beach umbrella, scuba gear, boogie boards, etc... And as a plus, it was easy to carry.
We had a couple of questions during our stay and Dana responded immediately. She even had someone stop by to check in and make sure things were taken care of. The owner obviously cares about her guests. We felt it from start to finish.
Everything you need for your stay in paradise is in this beautiful condo. You can see and hear the waves crashing peacefully when sitting out on the lanai. The resort grounds are well maintained and the hot tub and pool are kept at a perfect temperature. Thank you for hosting us Dana!!

We loved staying at the condo. We were on the top floor, and it was quiet except for the lovely sound of the ocean, which we had a partial view of from our balcony. The kitchen had the basics needed for cooking, and in the closet there was snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, etc. The facilities were great- pools, hot tub, tennis court, pickleball courts. We would definitely stay again.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at this condo! The pictures and description are very accurate - the unit is well stocked, clean, comfortable and the view is amazing. Communication with Dana and Deanne was prompt, friendly and helpful. We had a few questions before and during our trip and responses were typically provided within a few hours. The unit had everything we needed (including a pack n' play and high chair for our toddler - so helpful). We really loved our time here and hope to return in the future!
