We had a wonderful stay! The property is older and a bit outdated but was clean and had an amazing view and was a great base camp for exploring the island. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing was so serene. We loved being able to sit on the bench overlooking the cliffside and watch the sunset in the evenings. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were really comfortable. The property manager was very responsive to my messages and questions!

We only have 1 complaint and that is the tv in the bedroom is going out; the color was so dark you couldn’t see the show which then took us to falling asleep on the couch most nights. All in all that did not change our experience it was just a little glitch. We would certainly stay at the lovely condo again. It is so close to everything you need, grocery store, eateries, bakeries fun dining & fine dining.

The north shore location was close to many wonderful attractions.
However, make sure you don’t try to get over your jet lag - it’s just easier to get used to getting up super early to see the best attractions! To park at both Tunnels Beach and Queen’s Bath, you had to arrive before 8 am. Both were worth it though. Tunnels had a great reef for snorkelling that dropped off steeply into deep waters.
I think Queen’s Bath is walking distance if the parking lot is full.
The condo was a lovely haven to return to after a busy day exploring. It was well stocked with basic spices and condiments. It also had some towels, sunscreen and after sun products.
We would definitely return to this condo.

It would be difficult to imagine a more perfect vacation condo on Kauai. The views and proximity to the ocean are stunning from every window. The sound of waves crashing and the cool breezes 24/7 were amazing. The condo is beautifully done and very well equipped. You will want for nothing. The access to Hanalei and the Na Pali coast could not be better. The bedding in the master was superb and the furniture throughout the unit was very nice and comfortable. We are pretty discerning and widely traveled.....this is a Gold Star property.

Two thumbs up. Communication with John heading into the trip was good, and the condo was just as described. The master bedroom with ensuite was quite a bit bigger than the second bedroom, so grab that room if you can. Balcony was nice, and we saw whales from there the first morning which was awesome: the supplied binoculars were a nice touch as well. If you have a good set of hiking shoes or grippy sandals (not flip flops) check out the trail down to the water that starts out on the other side of the adjacent building. The pool on the property was quite small, but we were busy the whole time and didn't have a chance to even check it out so not an issue for us. Princeville Center was close, with some restaurants and shops including the grocery store with pretty much everything you might need. Our only complaint was the location of Princeville, which ended up being on the opposite end of the island from pretty much everything we were doing. But that issue was all about our planning, not the condo itself, and the rental car made traversing the island pretty easy. Hanalai Beach is actually quite close and it was the nicest beach we experienced on the island, so check that out if you have a chance. All in all I would give the condo location and amenities two thumbs up, just be aware of the location on the island before planning excursions.

He has snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, ice chest and a boogie board to help you enjoy the beach more. The kitchen had so many things above and beyond that were incredibly helpful, like chip clips, ziplock bags, coffee filters, seasonings, mustard and mayo, and more so you aren't building a whole kitchen for just your stay. The place was very clean and bright, exactly as pictured, and it was awesome to start every morning with a coffee staring at the ocean. John was great to deal with and is easy to get in touch with. I highly recommend this place.

We arrived at the condo when it was dark so we were not able to see the view until the morning. At first light we got our first glimpse, the view from the lanai is spectacular! Every night we went to sleep with the sounds of the waves crashing below us. Every morning we had breakfast on the lanai taking in the view, so relaxing and beautiful! The only down side is the condo is an hour away from most of the activities so a two hour drive round trip. Needless to say we did a lot of driving but we got really familiar with this absolutely gorgeous island! The Condo has everything you need just bring your food and drinks! We really enjoyed outlr one week stay here. The owner Jon was easy to get ahold of and nice to talk to! If you decide to stay here you will not regret it!

The property manager was very helpful finding us last minute accommodations when our other plans changed. Very grateful. The only thing that was weird was the second bedroom had two exits to outside that were not really safe for a 3 yr old. that could possibly open the door and get out!

Our family LOVED our time here. Beds were comfortable and the views are unbelievable. We saw whales every day we were there from the condo. You are sitting nearly on top of turtles cove, which is absolutely amazing. (Amazing when the trail isn’t wet… it’s a very steep trail but our 10 year old got down there just fine when it was dry)
The condo has been planned out to accommodate nearly any need you’ll have. Beach chairs, back pack cooler (that we used daily), beach towels, Umbrellas and more. Our friends that stayed at the Wyndham resort nearby was blown away at all of the things we had available for us to use. It really made the stay much easier and more enjoyable.
The condo doesn’t have air conditioning (which it states in the property description) so it gets a bit stuffy in there at times, but with the windows open and a nearly constant breeze it was fine.
We may have missed them, so John can correct me if I’m wrong, but we didn’t see any outdoor showers at the condo. We found that it is very easy to get sandy and muddy in Kauai. There is a little spout above at the trailhead for Turtle Cove that we used several times, but a outdoor shower would have been nice. It should be noted that nearly every beach has an outdoor shower though. Queens bath and Turtle Cove (Where we got quite muddy) didn’t have a shower, which would have been nice. Minor inconvenience though for the amazing location and views.

Princeville location was new for all of us. One couple in group was here 5 years ago but they stayed in Lihue and only visited Princeville for 1 day. Very nice condo and area is beautiful. Quiet at night and enjoyed the sound of the ocean rolling (roaring at times). No A/C but condo stayed cool. Overall, would recommend to friends and if we come again, would not hesitate to stay here again.

This 2BR/2 bath condo was lovely, with a balcony over the ocean and views from every room. It was close to great north shore surf spots and a protected north shore snorkel beach (Anini), the famous Napali Coast wilderness trails (you need an advance permit now), and Hanalei Bay and town. The kitchen was really well appointed for us to cook every night, a cooler for our picnics, very comfortable beds, and great bathrooms. The condo was very clean and quiet, and I can't say enough about the views and the whale watching right from the deck. We hope to stay here again.

This is our 13th trip to Kauai and we always love the North Shore. There are only a few units in Princeville with vast ocean views from the cliff side. This is one of them. It’s almost more fun to sit on the lanai than to go to the beach. Wildlife views. Ocean breezes and calming sound. If you stay away from the ocean, it can get warm but not here with the constant ocean breezes. It’s truly paradise.
The unit was clean, well stocked, comfortable and felt very modern. The owner was great to communicate with. Exceeds expectations!!

Nested in Ali’s Kai resort in Princeville on the North Shore, you can find many things to do. The condo overlooks the ocean above the steep cliffs. Great communication and lots of useful info provided for the North Shore. We loved the location and easy access to Hanalei and Napali region. Comfortable and amazing views, ocean sounds all day. Apartment is slightly dated decor but we did not mind at all! Has everything you need and a pool close by to take a dip after the beaches. Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our time staying here. The ocean views are amazing and the surf lulled us to sleep every night. Enjoyed coffee and breakfast at the high top table on the lanai every morning before our adventures began. This place has everything you need for a great vacation. The king bed was comfortable and we enjoyed catching up on our TV streaming shows in the evening after a full day of adventures. We appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, backpack cooler and towels that we loaded into the car daily to visit the beautiful nearby beaches. We snorkeled at Tunnels and Anini beaches and saw lots of fish and sea turtles and even a sting ray. We used the Shaka Kauai Guide app that took us directly to the beaches and hiking spots. We enjoyed our visit to the Kilauea Lighthouse and hiking in Ha'ena State Park. We only traveled south a couple of times as most everything we wanted to do was on the northside and it was so quiet and uncrowded. John sent some helpful information ahead of time on things to do and best beaches etc. Our only complaint was that it had a musty smell for a couple of days until it was fully aired out. It just may not have been rented recently. I would suggest using some Damp Rid products in the rooms to collect the moisture in between like we do at our cabin and maybe having an air freshener plug-in when getting it ready for visitors. Other than that, it was fantastic and on our list to return to!!

John's place has a beauitful ocean view with a wonderful ocean breeze! The furnishings were different than pictured and I almost went to the upper unit based on the stairway image. It was the lower floor but Still BEAUTIFUL! None the less, the furniture was comfortable including the beds and a smart TV was perefect. The kitchen had everything we needed. John was patient and rsponsive to my questions from start to finish of my booking. My son lives on Kauai and I was apprehensive about visiting at this time but I am so glad we stayed at John's condo. We were able to walk to Queens Bath and close to the shuttle picku p for Kalalau trail. I would love to stay here again during the winter months and see whales from the deck! Thanks for sharing your place on VRBO John! It was just what we were looking for!

Our stay was awesome! The pictures of the porch don’t do the view justice bc it is GORGEOUS. And both bedrooms have the views so you wake up to the ocean and sounds of paradise. Condo was well equipped and communication was good. Definitely recommend!

The condo is in a great location, quiet. The ocean and its hypnotic waves and cooling winds are right there. Very well supplied kitchen, many small touches that really made it comfortable. Bed is very comfortable. Some small inconveniences (like dead batteries in some of the remotes) but the price is reasonable and I would definitely rent again.

What a view! Having coffee on the balcony with my wife every morning watching the sunrise was amazing. John the owner was a great communicator. The condo has beach chairs, snorkels, fins.. we had a blast.
