This condo has the best decor of any I have ever stayed at. Right on the water and the waves will rock you to sleep or keep you awake if you are a light sleeper. We absolutely love staying there and ate many great restaurants. Unfortunately the washing machine was awaiting parts and I wish we had known that in advance we might have planned a few things differently But in the long run it big no difference and we had a fabulous amazing vacation.

This rental is everything that has been written about it and more! The welcome basket was unexpected, but much appreciated. Neither of us had even had a papaya before in our life! YUM! The nightly sunsets were a must and just beautiful, dinners were eaten on the lanai as well. Mornings were spent with coffee and breakfast on the lainai. Being so close to the ocean was the best. We understand why so many repeat visitors have come before us and we hope to become a repeat renter as well. We didn't want to leave!

We have lasting memories from the views of our condo overlooking the ocean, watching the sunset, rainbows and turtles. With a spacious layout, we never felt that we were crowded and had enough room to cook meals and enjoy time together. We had excellent communication with the owners, received a beautiful fruit & goodie basket on the table & had many referrals on fun things to do on the island. We are looking forward to returning next year!

The condo had a great view. Checkin was easy and the property was clean. The property was very well stocked with TP, soaps, spices, coffee filters, etc. These things were much appreciated! The layout was great and the updated kitchen and bathrooms were awesome! We ended up buying beach chairs and an umbrella and left them there for future renters.
One item to note that may help others -
We couldn’t tell from the listing that it was a first floor unit and that there was a walkway in front of the units so it lacked a bit of privacy.
The unit did lack air conditioning which we knew going in. It was doable, but the second bedroom got very warm for our daughter. We did close the shades during the day which helped but in the future, we would rent a unit with air for a summer rental.
The unit was also a decent walk from the beach and restaurants. We walked it when we first arrived but found it was a bit far with all our beach gear. That being said, driving to the beach was easy with plenty of parking. Good location between a few great beaches, just may need to be willing to drive.

It was our 4th time on Kauai and the condo was another fantastic chapter in our love affair with the island! Less than ten feet from the waves, we fell asleep to the sound of the crashing waves each night. The condo was stocked and everything had directions and labels to make our stay super easy! First of all, the view is spectacular! Secondly, the location is perfect. You can walk to the beach, grab a puka dog, walk a little farther there are some great shops including a fantastic place to get a gelato. Finally the condo had everything we needed. We used the community grill a few times. The salt water pool was very clean and the jacuzzi was an added bonus. Amanda who manages the property was also fantastic. She gave us a heads up about an issue at the Lihue airport the night before our departure. We arrived extra early which allowed us to be stress free at the airport as we waited in line to check-in as the app and kiosk were not allowing us to check in. We would stay again!

Our stay at the poipu condo was amazing. The beachfront view was breathtaking!!!! We saw whales right from the lanai every morning!
When we needed extra clean towels, the property manager was very prompt and attentive to our requests and needs. She was awesome. From the beginning of our Vrbo reservation, the owners treated us like family staying in their home. Any questions we had , they quickly returned our emails or calls. The condo was just as described in the listing and the 2nd bedroom was set with 2 twins per our request. We loved the proximity to the ocean with its beautiful sunset views and the added bonus of whale watching from our lanai! The condo grounds were beautiful and quiet. we'd definitely stay here again!

This was our third time staying in the condo in Poipu. We love the location, enjoying the Lanai for sunrise and sunset was the highlight of each day. The close proximity to Poipu Beach and great snorkeling is also a plus. The access via the digital lock made coming and going much easier. Love the new countertops in the bathrooms and kitchen.
We plan to stay here again next year if our schedule allows.

We had a fabulous time here! The condo is wonderful! Great kitchen for cooking. The master bedroom is right next to the lanai so we could sleep while listening to the ocean waves. We were able to watch the sunrises and the sunsets from the lanai. Also, we watched turtles and dolphins swimming by us on the lanai! We hope to return soon! Mahalo!

The listing was very accurate and location was perfect. Was able to watch turtles from the lanai and a 2 minute drive to Poipu beach. No AC, but plenty of fans provided which made evenings more than bearable. The unit was stocked with everything you may need during your stay and you could tell they’d put a lot of thought into it. I would stay here again.

Beautiful ocean view with occasional turtles made our stay special. Kitchen was well stocked allowing us to cook like home. The night sky was amazing even when floating on our backs in the pool.
Only drawbacks were lack of air conditioning and screen doors needed repairs.

The owners clearly care about the entire experience for the renters. So many items provided for the renters it was wonderful. We have rented VRBO’s all over the country in prime locations/destinations and have never felt so welcomed. The unit itself, cannot get a better view. Unit is updated and clean. Amazing vacation condo!
Big waves breaking all day and night right outside the condo! Saw dolphins, turtles mana rays while having coffee on the deck. Close to the beach and also had a great pool. The condo is well done and very comfortable for our family of 4

Everything about this property was just as described! The Location is Breathtaking!! We shared with special friends - 2 couples total and we had such an Amazing trip! I must have 100 pictures of sunsets… every night we made sure to sit on lanai to watch…. GORGEOUS!! Highly recommend this property! We had no complaints or problems!! ENJOY!! We stayed in Bud and Kathy's Condo for 7 magic nights. Communication from Bud was quick and complete prior to the stay and lightening fast from on island contact for the one need (which was I can't read instructions!). From the Welcome Basket and note on arrival to the ease in leaving they have mastered everything a 5 star host should in this condo (extra bath towels, beach towels, fishing rods, a trolley for the longish walk to load and unload car!) Property is as advertised or better, the crashing of waves on the rocks for 7 days/nights is right outside the screen door to master and adjoining living room. Sunset from the deck is soothing evening place for dinner, full sized everything in the kitchen which was well enough stocked. All of the appliances work, the pool and hot tub are relaxing and come with the welcomed trade winds. This is my second stay in Poipu, and I hope to return to Bud and Kathy's Oasis again soon. The value is excellent for this property, a bit of a splurge but worth every penny and then some!

Take a roomy condo, combine with the ideal ocean view and great hospitality, and you have the perfect stay in Kauai. Our visit started with easy check-in and a nice welcome basket from our hosts, then we enjoyed falling asleep to the pounding surf every night. Being away from the more commercial areas of Kauai was another plus. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and definitely would stay here again. Thanks!

Stayed here for a few days with friends. There was plenty of space for all of us. Spent most of our time out on the patio since the weather was nice and the view was spectacular. Took advantage of the nearby beaches, the pool and hot tub, and the grills available at the complex. Great location! The only downside is no AC, although from what I understand that is typical in Hawaii. Luckily the weather was nice and there were plenty of fans.

Beautiful property, plenty of room for 2 couples to spread out. We love the openness and made sure we were back for Happy Hour and the amazing sunsets on the lanai. Kitchen was well stocked, we used the grills for fresh Ahi. Great hikes nearby and close to everything- loved Koloa town, Waimea Canyon and kayaking in Wailua. Hope to return next year!

This place was unbelievable, such a relaxing patio with views of the surf crashing on the rocks, sea turtles, and whales breaching in the distance. The interior is a little older, but well kept. The location on the water with the view is everything , we walked to a beach from both sides.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bud and Kathy's condo. It was clean and comfortable and the sound of the crashing waves outside our bedroom at night had us sleeping like a baby. Not to mention having our coffee in the morning and cocktail hour at night on the lanai watching the whales frolic right in front of us. Stunning!

The condo is situated right on the coast - perfect for watching whales, dolphins and turtles go by. We stayed in late December and were able to see whales and dolphins from the lanai. Besides the fabulous location, the condo is well stocked, clean and updated. The location in Poipu is a great starting point for many adventures. I highly recommend snorkeling at nearby Lawai Beach, walking the Heritage Trail (which starts at Shipwreck Beach), and driving up to Waimea Canyon.
Amanda, the property manager, was incredibly helpful and nice - reach out to her if you have any issues at all.
The only drawback was with the lack of storage in the master bedroom. My husband and I didn’t unpack our suitcases for the week because there was so little space for clothing.

Great unit in an excellent location, unit is 10(?) feet from the cliff's edge with great views, nothing to block the views from the porch , @ 10 min walk to Poipu Beach and Brenneckes Beach, kitchen fully stocked with everything needed and snorkelling and other gear provided, big bedrooms, compex has a pool but didn't use it, definitely recommend and if returning to Kauai would happily stay here again

This place was everything we expected! View was amazing with the ocean, turtles and we got to see a few whales...the drive to the beach was quick and it was just as we hoped. This was our first time here and would love to come back. I would recommend this place highly!!! Only back draw was no air conditioning and even with closing everything up in the afternoon it was almost unbearable....but the pool was right there for us to cool off!

Due to many Covid delays, this was our Honeymoon/ 2nd anniversary dream trip to Hawaii. Bud and Kathy's condo is beautiful!! The pictures do not do it justice! The View is everything and more. Watching the pounding surf and spectacular sunsets from the lanai every day was a highlight of the stay! We saw numerous sea turtles and a couple of dolphin pods swim by! The condo is stocked with everything you could possibly need and is beautifully updated and so clean!! Located between 2 beautiful beaches, Po'piu and Shipwreck beach, each within walking distance. Although we did not even have time to enjoy the pool, we did check it out and it looked very inviting! We highly recommend Bud and Kathy's condo for a true home away from home stay!

Poipu Beach. Terrific restaurants all around- we took Bud’s advice and made reservations at Dolphin Poipu, Eating House 1849, Red Salt. And south East Asian. Lunch at Honu Bar. All terrific. Gets a little hot in the afternoon but it is Aloha time.

We had a terrific vacation at this condo. The view from the lanai is outstanding with turtles, rays, and dolphins parading by on a regular basis, it was so relaxing and enjoyable to just sit and watch.
The condo complex is very well maintained. The pool and spa were sparkling clean. It was also very quiet.
The beds were very comfortable which is something that my wife and I are sensitive to.
The condo is comfortable and well furnished, the kitchen has everything that we needed.
All and all we had a very pleasant time and were glad that we were able to stay there.
