We had such a wonderful stay at this property. We found this home to be very comfortable for our family the 4. The decor and layout are very nicely done and made for a home away from home feel. We found this property to be very well maintained and up to date. The kitchen was probably the best equipt of any vacation rental we have ever stayed in! We cooked multiple meals during our stay and had everything we possibly could have needed. Having a washer and dryer to use was also very helpful. The home was in a nice location for all of the activities we were looking to do. We felt very safe in this neighborhood. Truly a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you so much for everything.

In Kaua’i stayed at Pili Mai for the 2nd time. Highly recommend. VRBO communication perfect and made the trip more enjoyable. All details needed provided super efficiently. Had amazing time. Mahalos!

We enjoyed this property. It is conveniently located in Poipu. It was clean and as advertised.
One thing missing from the property is furniture to lounge around on after a long day of playing. One of the reasons we like to use VRBOs instead of hotels is because we like to be able to lounge. The furniture in the living room is nice, but it's not super comfortable for lounging.
I'm still willing to give this property five stars because it was great overall.

The unit was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Unfortunately painting maintenance was underway and patio furniture was stacked up . We were able to reset that easily and understand that it was just a timing issue. The workers using the storage room by the front door were very polite and we accommodated them by moving our rental car for easier access for them.

I just want to say we enjoyed our stay. We would never usually post anything, however I feel some things you should at least be made aware of.

If you have a car and don’t mind being 20 minutes from the airport, you are really in the heart of Poipu. Close to both Volcano Pizza and Keoki‘s and although you do have a full kitchen that is fully stocked in spices if you choose to cook. One of the best pools for a stay in a condo complex. Definitely will keep this on the list to stay again. Such nice accommodating hosts. Wish our state could’ve been longer.

Our assessment stems from frequent visits to the islands (including 5 vacations in Kauai in Poipu and Princeville).
Pluses- Great pool area (including hot tub and kiddie pool), nice workout facility, responsive Guest services.
Negative-arguably the worst location in a pact complex. The unit adjacent to a heavily travelled road (major construction and right next to the entrance to the complex.
Lower unit meant we were subjected to all the pounding of upstairs guests at the crack of dawn until ~10 PM.
The instructions indicated we not lower A/C below 72, we were surprised when our first night it remained between 74-76. We called guest services to discover they control the A/C.
Bosch appliances, but we were stunned to find out the refrigerator's ice/water dispenser was not connected. We had to use "ice trays" in 2022 and a manual filtered jug which was left from the previous guests (had mold). They did sent a new one.
The flatware 5 salad forks and 2 dinner forks. The cutting knifes needed sharpening, the microwave was a low power wattage and there was no waffle maker or pancake skillet.
The back deck was unusable due to gale force winds and chickens.
The washer/dryer vibrated so vigorously that it knocked the door off the hinges. My wife attempted to put it back in the groves but the heavy door fell on her. Fortunately, she was okay and someone came to fix the door and addressed the vibrating machines.
We needed to remove the foam piece placed on our mattress (we presume to make it softer, a better mattress would help).
We read the previous reviews and can only speculate that we expect too much from accommodations.

This condo is impeccably equipped with all that you would need to cook, visit the beach, and relax! It is walking distance to the beach and restaurants/stores. The communication was thorough from before we even checked in. The interior is beautifully decorated and organized. We stayed with another couple and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I've stayed at Pili Mai before so I was looking for something in this complex because of its location. I've not stayed in a two bedroom and it was nice. Kitchen was large and so was living area. This particular unit didn't have the best view as there are some that have golf course views but the bottom floor was nice. My only complaint was on the first night the thermostat was fixed at 78. Evidently it is controlled by the host remotely so after sweating through first night, they responded to my email that they lowered the temp to 74. My question is why was it set for 78? I kept getting up in the middle of the night to adjust the thermostat down but after 5 minutes it would reset to 78. No where in the instructions did they say that I couldn't adjust the thermostat and it made for a very bad first night.

Absolutely loved this property. Poipu is a great area to stay in Kauai and being able to stay at Pili Mai, not only is the property beautiful but it is also close to everything you want to do in Poipu. My kids absolutely loved the pool. And the condo itself was perfect and had everything you’d need. Gorgeous inside and out. Communication with Jed was also very easy and he’s very responsive. Can’t wait to come back again!

The condo is a short drive from Poipu Beach and other beaches. There are several shopping and dining options within walking distance, and even more shopping and dining is only a 5-minute drive away. The hosts provided very helpful information about the condo and vicinity. The check-in process was also very smooth.
We have only a few complaints. The online listing wasn't entirely accurate. It said there is no hot tub in the condo community, but there is one. I don't recall the online listing saying there is a fitness center, too, but there is one of those. It also would have been helpful if they had told us that the unit has beach towels. We could have saved some space in our suitcase had we known.
There was an in-unit safe, but someone locked it while the door was open, so we could not use it. I contacted the property manager, and someone said they'd send someone to fix. In addition, there was a Britta water pitcher, but there was no filter in it. Moreover, there weren't any replacement filters in the kitchen. On top of that, the lid and reservoir were dirty. No one came to replace the pitcher or provide filters. It wasn't a big deal because we bought bottled water.
I would recommend this unit to anyone. Our complaints were minor. We really enjoyed staying there, and we would return.

We really loved our stay at Pili Mai 15H. The property is beautiful and this unit is really nicely provisioned. On day of check-in we were slightly confused about where to park due to a mis-type in the guidebook, but I got an immediate response to email with clarification (much appreciated!). The kitchen had loads of dishes, pots, pans & just about anything you will need for your stay. There were loads of beach/pool toys in the garage too. My only two pieces of feedback are that some of the guest towels were a bit worn (a normal challenge at a rental) and the lanai had two active wasp nests.
Overall, we were really happy staying here and hope to be able to do so again in the future!

This was a wonderful accommodation in a fantastic property in Po'Ipu. The unit itself is very spacious, and thoughtful touches, such as providing beach equipment were very convenient. The internet was very quick and reliable, and the unit itself was spotless, comfortable, and luxurious. The amenities provided both in the unit, as well in the complex - Pili Mai are top notch. Also, if you're into chickens, this is definitely the place for you, as there seems to be a resident,friendly crew who hang around the place!
My wife and I have been to Kauai many times, and this complex is ideally located to explore the Southern side of the island. We definitely look forward to being able to visit and stay in this unit again!
