One of those places you don’t want to review so you can keep it all to yourself. Had all the beach gear you could want and need, along with every home and core beauty appliances (ex. We stayed here for a week, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment for our family. There are only 2 window-unit A/C in the condo(1 upstairs bedroom, 1 downstairs bedroom) and there is no A/C in living room, upstairs loft, bathrooms, hallway, etc. which we knew when we booked the place. The only problem was that the upstairs A/C did not work at all while we were there so we had to sleep in 85-90 degrees sweltering hot room the entire week. We contacted the management and the owner, but the only advice they gave us was that the A/C is working, and to close the door, get all the fans going and it will cool down. I insisted it wasn’t working but the repair person decided that it’s working. We followed the advice and we did everything they told us but it was still sweltering hot all day/all night all week long. We decided to spend majority of the day/evening at my brother’s rental unit in the same Kuilima condo just to avoid sweating all day. They also just had window unit A/C but it was WORKING and it felt like heaven! This condo was nice and clean, and wished we could’ve actually enjoyed it. But after paying more than $4,500, I wasn’t expecting to spend the whole week in 85-90 degree sauna like conditions. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this place and I wish we knew the conditions before we booked it.

The condo is spacious, well equipped and nicely furnished and decorated with a beautiful view from the living room. We liked that the location is close enough to take a walk to a few beautiful beaches. The resort has nice paths with tropical trees around. I gave the condo overall rating 4 * because of a few things we didn't like. The ACs in both bedrooms were very noisy and interfered with our sleeping. The upstairs bathroom is tiny, too small for use by three people who slept upstairs. All the towels except the beach ones need to be replaced by new ones. They didn't look and smell fresh from the beginning, even when we washed them after a few days. The same was true for the bathroom foot mat in the upstairs bathroom. Also, to our surprise there was no body wash in both bathrooms.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay there despite the mentioned shortcomings.

This property is in a good location on the North Shore - right next to Turtle Bay Resort. You can walk to Turtle Bay although you will need to drive everywhere else but we found the drives to be doable and not prohibitive of going to other parts of the island.
The condo itself is good - nothing fancy - but just fine as a home base. Bedrooms and loft are quite warm for sleeping (we were then end of June) and a/c units are noisy.

This property was fantastic! It had enough room to fit our family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and our grown son, his wife, and their infant daughter. Having an updated and clean kitchen was helpful to provide meals so that we didn't have to eat out every day. Thanks for keeping a few cooking staples in the pantry. The unit was clean. Boogey boards, snorkel gear, beach towels, and camp chairs that were provided were greatly appreciated so that we didn't have to pack our own in our luggage. Hose on the back porch was super helpful for cleaning off from beach before dragging sand into the unit.
Beds were firm and pillows were plentiful. Portable crib was put to good use. Fans throughout the unit kept us cool. Air conditioning in bedrooms worked well. Communication with manager was great! Betsie was clear and quick to respond. Since Turtle Bay is a large property, we expected the complex to be filled with many guests. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the entire property was. It is a beautifully landscaped area, helping to bring peaceful feelings while going for walks. We also expected it to be too far away from our hub of Laie, but the short 7-12 minute drive was never a damper on our excursions. Good running trails on site. We never used the pools because there were so many beaches to explore. Even though we prefer to be right in Laie, we would choose this property again because of its abundant space, cleanliness, quietness, and provided amenities.

Very close to a lots of great beaches, good food trucks and hiking. Lots of stuff to use was available at the condo boogie boards, snorkeling stuff,beach towels. Resort would not allow us to pay or use the gym we were hoping to be able. No close gyms.. It does get warm during the day as you can’t leave the ac on or sliding doors open to get airflow when your gone during the day. It was a good place to stay just warm at night especially the the loft with the twin beds.
My recommendation fix windows upstairs so handles works to open and close . Fix sidewalk path light. Maybe another large fan for upstairs.
Again it was a peaceful place to stay.

I do have to say that the overriding benefit of this property was its great location in turtle Bay. Fantastic place to stay for access to North Shore activities. Not having been to these properties before, it was not clear in the listing that central AC was not part of the deal. The upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedroom had wall units. The upstairs bedroom would not adequately be cooled by the single unit. The downstairs bedroom was cooled fine. The rest of the house was terribly hot in a relatively nice month of May.
The showerheads were dirty and the AC units had mold inside them. Bring your own towels, because the towels they have smell and need to be replaced.
Listing says it sleeps seven. It was not clear that the seventh bed was a futon couch that was terribly uncomfortable. This should be a listing for six people. Beware that the loft is very hot even at night.
Communication before arrival was fantastic. I did contact the manager on arrival and did not get called back until the next day.
Overall not even close to being worth the price, the flipside as you’re not gonna find anything in such a great location for the price.
If they could clean this place up, replace the towels and put a larger unit in the master and another AC unit to cover the loft and living area, this place would be amazing.
Lastly, having six people take showers, you quickly that’s cold water by the third shower!

Nice place for the money. A very modest place but affordable. Was fine for my wife and two kids. View was of the golf course and then the road behind; not ideal buy again fine. Bitsy was helpful getting into the place and Betty was very helpful and attentive to a couple issues that came up during our stay. Overall quality of the condo/apartment was probably 5-6 out of 10; not the highest of quality furnishings, but again, good value for $400/night. Is a long walk(for my wife and kids) to the turtle bay beach/main hotel area; approximately .75 mile. Not ideal with kids and beach stuff, etc. Next time, probably won't be, but..., I'd stay at the actual resort or one of the side buildings. The resort itself is a very nice place, but I'm sure it's a bit more than we paid for this condo. Mahalo

We always love coming to turtle Bay. We have stayed in quite a few condos and this one was by far the cleanest nicest and most recently updated. There was confusion on the check in process. Typically the owner reaches out with check in information at this one did not. However, despite sleeping on a friend Laura, she refunded us that nice day which was really nice

We took our kids (ages 7-17) to Hawaii and spent 4 of our nights here. When I needed help, I always received a reply from the owner writing 10 minutes. The location is great and the condo is beautiful. The extra beach towels, chair, and toys, etc. we're really appreciated.
Two things: The dryer needs to be better ventilated. The condo uses window AC units so it can be difficult to cool down. Once we got it cool, turning on the dryer raised the temperature 10-15 degrees and made it pretty humid.
Also, the property could use cookie/ baking sheets. It was impossible to cook frozen pizza bc there was nothing to place it in. Fortunately, the bottom of the oven was lined with foil so we just used the racks. It was messier than we would have preferred though.
Security was helpful (though 2 towels were stolen off the patio one night) and I would definitely return. The dryer and pans were a minor inconvenience but the property itself was 10/10 otherwise.

Our family of five really enjoyed our one week stay here. The property was as advertised. We had plenty of room and the location next to Turtle Bay was ideal. This was our first trip to Oahu (or any island in Hawaii) and this stretch of the island quickly became our favorite. It's quiet, felt safe, and is within close proximity to many of the places we wanted to see. Plus, a few miles down the road the traffic becomes very congested with everyone visiting, but no congestion here. Bitsy, the property manager, was quick to respond when questions came up. We'd stay here again. If you're traveling to this area, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) is a must see. As wonderful as all of the beaches were, and just being in Hawaii, the PCC was the highlight for us. If you can, the ambassador tour is worth the money. We were all very pleased with our decision to stay here. Thanks for helping to make our trip a great one!

Unit was fine, clean and easy to find. Didn’t have wifi working! Called number we were given and they gave me another number to call instead of taking care of problem. We were asked if we would be there to meet cable technician when problem should be with mgmt to resolve… we were on vacation& shouldn’t be dealing with a mgmt issue!
Condo doesn’t provide decent equipment like beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, etc. We've stayed in other units at Turtle Bay and had equipment to use. The answer I received from mgmt was owner didn’t want to provide because “neighbors” borrow them. My solution, put in a closet “in” the unit! This was the first VRBO in Hawaii we stayed at that didn’t provide any of this!
Texted mgmt with question about chairs at 9am and didn’t get a response back till 9pm!
Many other rentals at Turtle Bay that have better communication.
Also, twin beds shown in picture are at top of stairs outside master bedroom! A/C in downstairs bedroom and master worked great but twin bed area didn’t get much circulation! Windows by patio didn’t close well to keep A/C cooling in!

AC worked well in rooms that have AC. Rest of the house we kept doors open which made it nice. Laundry worked well. I just can’t say enough good about our experience.

Couldn’t have found a better place for our family vacation. Gorgeous beaches, miles of walking trails, beautiful golf course, convenient swimming pools and clean tennis courts. We used them all and loved it! House for our family of 7 comfortably and owners were very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend this highly!

When booking this property for our family, we had no idea what to expect. We were very pleased with the property, it’s size, location and cleanliness. Dealing with the property manager was easy and they were very pleasant. It is very difficult now to plan any family vacations as our children get older and have lives of their own, but being able to plan this vacation and all stay together was very special. Thank you all for helping me make this happen.
