We were 3 and our stay was wonderful. The view is amazing! I really appreciated the washer-dryer combo. One thing to note is that the building does not have an elevator. We had to walk up and down to the 3rd floor.

These condos are the perfect location if you want to be right in the ocean. Close enough to Kona but out of the traffic of town. Vacasa is excellent with communication.

My stay was incredible! Honest to goodness the condo surpasses the pictures. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I love the communication from the property manager. Highly highly recommend booking this property! I will be back 100%!!

This was a fine place to stay and relax. On site staff was prompt and helpful resolving a few small issues on arrival. We had read the old reviews and previous posts about the carpet condition and dresser, although we mistakenly assumed these items were attended to. We had to wear our shoes due to the stained, crusty and overall unfortunate carpet. The dresser in the closet remained unusable, (smells horrid). Owners might take a visit and review these things as well as the kitchenware situation. So, many, wine glasses, only 2 bowls (1 plastic) and 2 salad plates. That being said, there were necessary dinner plates and glassware as well as numerous other kitchenware items were pleasant to have. We would stay again if the flooring was replaced and the dresser removed. Bonus was having 2 beach chairs and boogie boards!

The view of the water was absolutely spectacular from the balcony. The room was small but easy to maneuver in with three people (one sleeping on the sofa bed). We had a great experience. The only downside was that the carpet looked very dirty and was crusty, probably from the salt and sand. Overall, this was a great place to stay!

The location of the condominium complex was perfect for visiting the Big Island. This unit was adequate for visiting. Slightly disappointed with the fact that we had to purchase towels for our children to enjoy the pool as well as the ocean in front of the Condominium (which we left for future guests). This unit was slightly dated and lacked any type of hooks or locations to hang wet swimsuits. We also had an amazing experience with the complex staff when it came to a metal strip in the floor that had come undone. The metal strip cut one of my wife’s toes. When I contacted the complexes office the maintenance person arrived almost immediately. The repair was handled the next day once they had the appropriate items to make the repair.

I was very disappointed with the condition of the room. The living room furniture was very worn and dirty as was the carpeting, however after notifying Vacasa, I was told that the owner was in the process of replacing the furniture and the carpet was going to be replaced with laminate flooring. Unfortunately, it was going to happen after my stay, but Vacasa very kindly said that they would waive my cleaning fee. The view was incredible and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night, so once the furniture and flooring are replaced, I'm sure it will be beautiful.

We loved the location, we loved our room, we loved the ocean view off the balcony and staff couldn’t hv been nicer. Pool was great. That said, it took three days to get a can opener and four days to get a broom after we realized the vacuum didn’t work. And there was a dishwasher but no dishwashing detergent. So kinda useless.

The room is right in front of beautiful beach and trees. Nice breeze all day long and wonderful sunset more than a few days while staying!
Furniture and some equipment are a bit old but still fine enough to use for several day stying. I lived this room.

After a series of unfortunate events pertaining to having reserved the room for a romantic getaway for two. I ended up settling for a retreat that was enjoyable under the circumstances.. long story short I will definitely visit again and hopefully with someone more appreciative!

The place was everything we needed. Nice patio and nice to have beach equipment. It is a long walk to restaurants and shops from the location if you don’t have a vehicle.

we have stayed at Kona Bali Kai several times and the ocean view from the Lani is breathtaking. However this unit is in need of upgrades. the couch is so worn the foam is showing thru the cushions. and the chest of drawers has a terrible smell.
The condo was clean kudos to the cleaners

Not the fanciest place on the island, but exactly what we were expecting. The place was clean and comfortable. Big selling point should be the location!! You can’t get any closer to the beach than this, and the view was astonishing!

The view and being 40 feet from the ocean. Yet, it could use some serious upgrade. How about 2 lounge chairs on the lanai. The mirrors in the main room are so old part of them or black. I had to wash all my clothes because the chest of drawers in the bedroom stunk. One of the showers was out of commission. One of the siding glass door to the lanai could hardly be opened or closed. And yet, all in all, it was worth it. The view, the ocean, the sound of the waves. Heaven!

Location was wonderful and the view was exactly what we were looking for. Definitely dated decor as shown in the pictures so no surprises there. The place lived bigger than it looks in the pictures. Washer and dryer appear to have been replaced recently. The only surprise was having 1.5 bath instead of advertised 1 bath. The tub in the extra bathroom was out of order but since it was a bonus bathroom anyways it was a very nice extra to have. Minor maintenance concerns but nothing needing immediate interaction and worth posting here.
The cleaning crew did a very very nice job. This portion exceeded our expectations.

We rented unit 318 of the Bali Kai. We had stayed at the Bali Kai many times. Through the internet it seemed like the unit I was fine but upon arrival we immediately noticed many problems. One of the showers was not working, the furniture was dirty, there was a moldy smell in the dresser in the closet, the refrigerator was vey rusty. Etc. Samantha was wonderful Ans worked with he central office to give us another unit. We were very very happy here.

It’s great location. Close to public beaches. Not too far from superstores, restaurants and golf courses. The view is amazing but condo #318 is in dire need of updates. It’s 1970s at best. The kitchen appliances were old and rusty except the coffee maker. There’s a washer and dryer. The washer is filthy and moldy. I cleaned it before doing laundry but still made our clothes smell bad! The dryer doesn’t work. I called the office to see if the maintenance can check it but the office lady just casually told me that there’s a laundromat downstairs and that the maintenance man will not be able to check the dryer right away because he is busy. She will however write a ticket request. Maintenance man never showed up. Bring quarters for laundry or download the app PayRange. Toaster doesn’t work. The pillows were flat, old and smelly. The sheets and pillowcases were clean, thank goodness. The Duvet cover on our bed was filthy! It had urine stain!!! The pull out couch was so dirty, rusty, ripped and nasty. In the small bathroom, the tub floor had bubbled and it was very squishy and making it hard to stand on while taking a shower. The main bathroom shower has been updated at least. The pocket doors were detached and broken from the railing above making it very difficult to maneuver. The exhaust fans in both bathrooms were non functional. No air conditioning. There are ceiling fans but not enough to create comfort. We had to leave the doors and windows open night and day for air circulation. The kitchen floor was grimy and sticky, old tiles and old grout. I had to clean and mop it to be comfortable walking on it without house slippers. The patio doors and screen doors had virtually no guide wheels making it very difficult to open and close. Towels are very old, worn out and some have stains. The wall glass mirror has very noticeable large gray spots and very unattractive. They do have beach chairs and boogie boards and a decent patio set to enjoy our morning coffee and view. Bottom line is, we’re not satisfied. Just being honest.

Great location and views. Property really needs updates/upgrades as it's aged and worn (furniture, carpet, bed). Of most concern was that the floors were dirty. I would recommend upgrading the carpet to hard surface flooring.
