Had a great stay at this clean and well appointed villa. Being close to the pool was key. The facilities were clean and obviously well cared for. The property was very quiet and we enjoyed walks around the village in the mornings and evenings. Would stay here again!

I’ve stayed at many places on the Big Island and this place is definitely in the top 5. First time I’ve stayed at this complex and found it to be very well maintained and super quiet. Very comfortable beds, pillows, bedding ant towels. Kitchen is fully stocked. And for those concerned about a scratched fridge you’ll be happy to know it’s been replaced with a shiny new one with an awesome ice maker. It’s located on a cul-de-sac and the pool is steps away but not close enough to hear other quests. Great stay!

The property is in a great location. Pool and parking right across the street. Great complex. We really enjoyed the patio and outdoor spaces. The condo has a very nice couch and chairs (looked pretty new), but the rest of the furnishings were tired and dated. Beds need to be replaced - really soft mattresses. Previous occupants have not always been kind to the property - the refrigerator door is all scratched up by what I can only imagine was a small child. The cabinets were sticky. The appliances were clean inside and out. The dining room table and chairs were wobbly. With such a great location and amenities, we would stay here again, but hope the unit gets some attention soon. We have stayed in a similar unit in Moana Lani that was much better appointed with bikes and scooters to get around.

The property was spacious. Has a king bed in the upstairs master suite, 2 twin beds in downstairs bedroom, and a pull-out couch. There are pool toys, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, and noodles in the garage that were probably left by prior guests. Immediately outside the condo, there is a big grassy area adjacent to the golf course that the kids loved playing in. There is one parking space and the house instructions also say you can use the garage. So, that would be 2 parking spaces. My only complaints would be the pool next to the condo was under renovation for most of our stay and I wish we were informed of that prior to our arrival. Also, the cookware needs to be replaced - a lot of the teflon was scratched on the existing pans they have.

We had a wonderful time here at the Big Island and this condo made it even better! From the first sight it was just perfect, and the first thing we noticed was how clean it was. We had fun exploring Koa and hope to be back soon. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

We really appreciated staying in such a luxurious place with high ceilings and all the amenities. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub everyday after exploring the island and going to the wonderful nearby beaches. A well situated place and incredible for families. The communication was smooth and everything went well. The weather was spectacular.

Great location for activities throughout the island , perfect proximity to the pool and BBQ grills, very nice two story house with master bedroom on the second floor. Would be nice if there were a few more kitchen basics and also had an issue with the dishwasher which was a bummer but I’m sure would be resolved

Was a quick staycation. Place needed some upgrades but was just two of us so didn’t make too much difference. Nice location for morning jog, and bike ride. Would go again if locals(kamaaina)discounted stay were available!

We enjoyed a nice visit at the property. Close to the pool and fitness center. The only negative is that the AC was a bit loud and the internet was not working, but after calling the manager, we managed to turn it on. Mahalo!

We had a wonderful stay here. Condo is very clean. Kitchen appliances and utensils worked well. Wind shades are very effective in blocking out sunlight and in excellent condition. AC was strong and even temp was well kept, but a bit noisier than ideal. Patio is hard to enjoy when AC turns on due to compressor noise. Would be wise to bring your own night lights, as nighttime path to bathroom is dark and furniture in master bedroom is oversized for the space. Would be more convenient for a group of 4 to get a second pool key.

Colony Villas is the best and unit 1201 was wonderful! Very clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and conveniently located. We are not big resort/condo people, but we loved this place and will definitely come back here. High recommend!

Spent a week here and it was not nearly long enough. Condo was spotless, and completely equipped with everything I could possibly need or want. Located a stones throw from pool / hot tub / barbecues, the location is perfect. Fitness studios (a weight room and a cardio room) are very well equipped - and they were immaculate. Do your home work before you go so that you have an idea of all the wonderful opportunities for adventure in the area. Car required to get to sights and beaches. Driving on the island is easy and hassle free. Denise is very helpful and responded quickly to questions. I will definitely be back.

Our family just enjoyed the week of our lives at Colony Villa Waikoloa Beach Resort. The condo was clean, roomy and beautiful. Our views included lots of palm trees, open skies and the golf course. There were so many things to do in the area and our adventures included everything from beach, hikes, grilling, golfing, snorkeling, morning walks, nearby shopping, paddle boarding, cliff diving and more! Everyone at the Resort was so friendly. We really enjoyed our week and look forward to going back for a stay in 2015!

We recently stayed here and it was perfect. The condo is absolutely stunning and the location is great--the newly completed "maintenance road" short cut puts it just about two minutes off the main road, giving you excellent access north, south and to the water. We highly recommend spending some time at Beach 69 (just 10 minutes north of the condo) and watching sunsets with a cocktail at Lava Lava (3 minute drive). Really, I cannot recommend this place enough: clean, modern, convenient, comfortable, etc. And Denise is extremely wonderful to work with--we will be back every year.

We had such a wonderful time in Hawaii and the unit was perfect for our stay! Everything was great and accommodating and the location was amazing right across from the pool & bbq area. We had our son, 16 and daughter 6, who loved the location. We will definitely pass on this unit info to friends and family staying on the Big Island!!

This property is in a great location, is neat, clean, well decorated, pleasant to stay in at a fair rental rate! I would not hesitate to rent this property again. We really appreciated that the kitchen was well out-fitted for cooking. We found all the pots and pans we needed, a rice cooker and blender along with just about everything else we could have needed including storage containers for leftovers. We also appreciated that there was olive oil, some spices and other condiments already there, left from previous guests. We left a few things for others to use as well. (I'd much rather see that than have to throw out--or know that the cleaning people throw everything out that isn't used.) There were plenty of beach towels, and some boogie boards we ran out of time to use…Hapuna beach next time! The unit is within walking distance of the shore and the Kings and Queens Marketplace (15-20 minutes or so.) Also there is a lava trail with petroglyphs accessible adjacent to the maintenance road for anyone interested in a hike. We did have a parking dilemma. It was remedied by phone call to Denise that was overheard by one of the yard maintenance guys. Denise explained that there were some spaces that were numbered, but did not say reserved, and we could park in one of them. The maintenance guy who overheard my phone call showed me where exactly to park! Just don't park behind the garage.

We both thoroughly enjoyed out visit to the villa in Waikoloa and the owners were very helpful in arranging our stay. The villa had everything anyone could possibly want and it was very clean and the air conditioning was a huge plus. Enjoyed exploring the area and beaches, especially Hapuna State Park with the white sand and warm ocean. Also found some good restaurants in the area and the one we particularly enjoyed was called 'Millies' just outside Hawi along the coast. The fish was delicious and so fresh too. Had a wonderful holiday and would certainly recommend the villa to all our friends and family.

October 2013
We spent three relaxing weeks on the Big Island, and used this great condo in the Waikoloa Colony Villas as our base. The condo itself was exactly as described, with everything being top notch, clean and well maintained. The condo is quietly situated, on a cul-de-sac, close to the pool on one side, and with the golf course on the other side. Despite arriving late at night the instructions to get to the unit were clear, and we had no problems finding our temporary home. Our two girls enjoyed having their own room, and while we took the master suite upstairs. The smart TV was a nice addition, which kept us entertained in the evenings. The new patio furniture was fantastic, a great spot for breakfast, and for the girls to play with the local cats when they came visiting. Colony Villas is conveniently located for seeing much of the island. We did trips to the Volcano’s national park, and had a fun drive back over the saddle road on the way back at night after waiting to see the glow from the lava. We enjoyed some time at the Mauna Loa Visitor center, where the girls got great views of the stars and planets. We visited some great beaches, and saw turtles at most of them. Some favorites included..Beach 69 ( our favorite all round beach ), the walk South from A-Bay ( great for turtles and snorkeling ), and the drive over the lava fields to Mah ai’ula Bay ( a 20 minute walk over more lava brought me to the softest whitest sand I have ever seen in Hawaii. I would thoroughly recommend this unit, and would happily return again.. Thanks

This was our 5th year staying at Waikoloa Colony Villas. It was our first time in this unit and we found it very lovely. The unit was clean and nicely furnished. I loved the art. We appreciated having a reserved parking spot and the proximity to both the pool and tennis court. There were beach towels, mats and boogie boards and a hose to rinse off gear. The photos accurately describe the unit. WCV is a great complex, quiet and peaceful and close to the Queens' Marketplace and the Kings' Shops. We took nightly walks through the neighborhood to the Hilton overlooking the beach. We tried the Kohala Zipline adventure and would highly recommend them (9 zips, several rope bridges and 2 rappels). The guides were great and the operation was very safety oriented. Lots of fun.

Just recently spent a week on the big island. Nice amenities, easy parking. Condo in great location for activities. Swam with a large school of spinner dolphins in the wild. It was incredible!! You will see sea turtles on this island as well. They are everywhere and look so cool gliding in the water.
