Our VRBO was a beautiful place to stay, the bed was comfy, great kitchen, bath and beautiful lanai. The air conditioning in each room was great too.
Chairs, towels and snorkeling equipment was provided for guest, and you could walk 5 minutes to town or the beach.
The parking in the garage was safe and secure with a special key provided.
We had a marvelous time and will return soon!

The location right off Ali’i drive can’t be beat. When sitting on the lanai at night, we could listen to live music playing from a restaurant on the other side of the church. I spent hours out on the lanai each night - it was wonderful.
The unit is on the second floor, right by the stairs/elevator. Unfortunately, this meant people were often walking directly by the bedroom window and the walls were so thin it was easy to hear conversions or just footsteps. This meant there is absolutely no privacy to be had in the bedroom.
There was also very minimum hot water to be had. The hot water in the shower lasted less than 10 minutes, and I ran out of hot water washing dishes. Also, water would begin to pool and stand in the tub during showers. It drained, but slowly. And anytime we had to wash off mineral sunscreen (the only sunscreen allowed anymore, very thick and hard to wash off) the draining problem was even worse.
If there are stairs to the parking garage, I never found them and the elevator requires a security key to access the garage. A key is provided, but it’s attached to a bright orange spatula. It’s not exactly something you can walk around with, so we often found ourselves having to return to the condo just to pick up the security key to access the garage if we wanted to drive anywhere. The garage itself is also strangely laid out and fairly tight to maneuver within.
Otherwise, no complaints. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The location is unbeatable, very easy to find & the checking in was relatively easy. All the amenities were perfect, we enjoyed sitting on the porch at night & listening to the live music that was happening downtown. It was perfect for what we needed - a place to crash during a beach vacation! All the amenities were as described & it was nice to have a full kitchen during our stay.The rental has chairs & an umbrella which were very helpful as well! The rental was also very clean & well maintained. I would recommend this to any couple staying somewhere, it's probably a little small for any other type of relationship. Big shoutout to TK Noodle down the street, you can walk here & the food is incredible! The guy made everything fresh for us. Our only complaint was that the furniture is just not very comfortable. The bed is very, very soft (we are not picky mattress people). The couch is stiff, it wasn't ideal for sitting and watching a movie or anything. Just not that comfy.

Not only was the location the best cause you could literally walk a few min to downtown kona but the place we stayed was clean and had everything we needed for snorkeling, hanging at the beach and what was also great was the washer/dryer was in the unit and to be able to do laundry before we headed home really was nice. Would definitely return in the future.The only thing is I wish the bed was a little newer and more comfortable felt like we kind of rolled to the middle when sleeping

As an old RN/Adult NP, I came for a short visit to assist my sister with her husband in late stages of head & neck cancer. Surprisingly she agreed to spend 2days/nights with me and this place provided a wonderful respite for her. Sitting on the Beautiful lanai drinking coffee, together was the best with a view of a church, plumeria hedges and birds singing. Close to beaches, shops & restaurants. Parking underground was convenient. Wasn't posh but perfect for me. Very hard to initially find in the dark. Residents were kind and helpful. Fully equipped kitchen, terrific bathroom and super shower. Nice amenities, as beach chairs, snorkeling gear, plenty of towels, wash cloths, beach towels and washing machine and dryer. Questions answered by phone. A most enjoyable stay. TV service hard to obtain. Recommend a clock. Didn't use swimming pool.. ,

This place is great! Great location. Walking distance to Alii which is the place to be! Lots of extra towels, bed linens & everything you need to make meals at home. Beach towels, umbrella & three beach chairs with three or four biggie boards. No cooler or children’s beach toys, though. We will definitely be seeing if this place is available next time we come. I LOVED the blackout curtains in the bedroom. Perfect place for our family! Enjoy!! Mahalo!!!

Beach towels, umbrella & three beach chairs with three or four biggie boards. No cooler or children’s beach toys, though. We will definitely be seeing if this place is available next time we come. Beach chairs? Boogie boards? Extra blow up mattress (not used, but IF it was needed), blankets and towels for days. LITERALLY every thing you need for a trip to Hawaii including things as us from the mainland might not even think of. The management was great as well and easy to get a hold of through VRBO. Do not call their office up the street if you do need anything, they don't answer the phone. Other than that, the property is fantastic and a short walk to downtown. If I come back to Kona, this is where I'll be.

Great location. We stayed here and didn’t use a car for the first few days of our trip - right in the heart of Kailua and across the street from the trolly stop. The space was clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs and umbrella. We loved spending nights out on the lanai.

Kona Plaza was well situated, steps away from everything in town, yet it was easy to drive into. The property management is very detailed, their instructions are simple to follow, and they are communicative and responsive.
The condo was well equipped with everything we could need and was kept organized and uncluttered. If you’re looking for a luxury accommodation, I would suggest this may not be the unit for you. However, if you are looking for practicality and location with good amenities at a reasonable price, this is it.

This condo was the best spot for our Christmas holiday with our kids. The pullout sofa was perfect for our 2 young kids (9 and 6) to share. We could not believe how great of a location the condo was. We walked to everything. There are so many great restaurants. The other visitors and residents in the building were so friendly, it was just unreal. We used the pool and it was clean and perfect for what we needed when we weren't at the beach or exploring the Big Island. The condo is perfectly equipped for a young family with beach chairs, a great kitchen, an AMAZING lanai and easy to check in and out. Mahalo for a wonderful holiday!

The place is cute, clean, and central. It has extra towels, blankets etc. Just like a regular family condo but small. Which is awesome being in town. Unfortunately I have to buy toilet paper for my stay cause there's 4 of us and 1 roll. The pillows with the covers in the closet were dirty. The other downside is the loud humming noise outside the building last night that was so loud I literally slept on the porch cause it permeated the bedroom. And the fact that the sofa sleeps just one not two, and has no cushion. So the girls were like sardines. I stayed at the Hilton grand this past week and opted for this condo to be close to friends. For $250 we had all our amenities including coffee. It was a 2 bedroom with 2 bathroom. And there even was a smoking area for guest. You may want to rethink the comfort level of this condo. Especially the pull out couch. That was a huge miss for me. So yeah me and my daughter slept on the porch pretty much the whole stay.

We had an amazing stay at an older unit right in the heart of Kona. Although we we're steps away from Ali'i Drive the unit itself facing a quiet church away from the street. It was perfect with an extra large lanai, fully appointed with beach toys and snorkel gear. Knutson & Associates was very responsive and went out of their way, allowing us both early check-in and extended departure time. They even dropped off an extra fan to help keep the place cool. Would be happy to rent any of their units.

This is a small unit but very well set up. The kitchen is small but very clean and perfectly set up with a well running microwave, refrigerator and stove (didn't use the oven). The main item is the air conditioner is great! The complex is very clean, quiet and safe. The second floor location is perfect .. especially nice was the elevator to lug all the luggage into the unit but very easy stairs for all the rest of the time.
Note of caution: keep the key in the lock box when you leave. Believe me .. it makes sense. I didn't do this and had to pay to have someone come to let me in. The response was fast but expensive so I am passing the lesson along!
There are lots of good eats around within walking distance. Check out GeckoGirlz Shave Ice! There is an ABC store right across the street. And right around the block is a fantastic, extremely well-stocked quilt store, Quilt Passions.
The slight disappointment was the bed. It is not comfortable and squeaks.

This was a nice basic, well-priced condo. While it was not fancy, it suited our purposes perfectly. Nice and central to everything, restaurants, bars and shopping are right there. Underground parking was nice so the car was not sitting in the hot sun. Condo complex is well maintained, pool area and BBQ/sun deck were great. Also really loved the central A/C so no noisy air conditioners to keep you awake at night. Could be a bit better furnished with more comfortable sitting area in the living room, maybe some end tables and lamps. Get rid of the daylight white bulbs! Lanai was great, large with a sectional sofa so we spent most of our time out there, enjoying the warm weather.

Excellent location, good value. The only significant issue was in getting the key out of the magic box. We could not figure out how to do this — all out attempts ended in frustrated failure. We were ‘saved’ by a passerby (renting a nearby condo) who knew the magic method. He said he he had spent two hours trying to figure this out himself. So — better instructions (probably including good figures) are needed.

Nicely appointed condo located within easy walking distance of food entertainment and historic sights. The central West Coast location also provided good acces to other points of interest. The kitchen had everything needed and we took advantage of the collection of beach items on hand. Washer and dryer a plus, as was the air conditioning.

My spouse and I LOVED this condo. The location is perfect - right off Ali'i Drive in the heart of downtown Kona. We could walk to everything that Ali'i Drive offers, which was great. The condo itself was spotless upon arrival. The space is nicely decorated and very well appointed with everything one could need for the stay, including beach chairs and accessories (only one umbrella that was marked for use on the Hilo side - softer sand). The kitchen is small, but functional and very well stocked. The washer and dryer worked well for us, the queen bed in the large bedroom was very comfortable, and the living room was a comfortable spot to crash after a long day of hiking and beaching. The central A/C works great and kept us very comfortable in spite of the heat outside. One very nice plus is the large lanai off the living room with the view of the historic church. With a comfortable outdoor sectional, we spent a great deal of time on the patio. And the management company was a dream to deal with - simply outstanding. They are attentive, communicative, yet unobtrusive. Only negatives for us were the parking garage (free parking for guests). It's a tight space and not always easy to navigate if you're in a big vehicle. There was also a resident at the condo who clearly has some serious mental issues - he would engage us quite rudely at times and each time, we were very uncomfortable with the interaction from this resident. Avoid him if possible. Overall, this is a GREAT condo, great location, and great management team at a GREAT price! We'll definitely stay here again.

The place was great for the price! It was clean, had pretty much everything you needed. It had an umbrella, beach chairs, beach toys, snorkel gear, etc. All the kitchen utensils you need if you decided to eat in. Short driving distance to several nice beaches. Lots of food spots and shops within walking distance. Washer and dryer if you were running out of clean clothes. The dryer washer door sticks and had some issues trying to get it open a couple times. The air conditioning was probably the best part. Wifi in the room was helpful but it cut out for about a day. Blake (the property broker) was very helpful with any questions I had and responded to emails in a few hours depending on the time, otherwise by the following day. A little confusing to get to at first but once you get it (easiest is from Kaumana) you're set.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kona thanks to this cozy condo. We brought our elementary-school age boys. The pull out bed and inflatable mattress worked great for them, and we could easily make meals for them in the kitchen.Once you're downstairs, you can be on Ali'i Drive in minutes. Very convenient for a family with young children. We enjoyed the proximity to great shops, restaurants, historical attractions, and the little beach by the Marriott. Within 15 minute drive of a great beaches for snorkeling.The lanai was our favorite. Comfy sofas overlooking the oldest church in Hawaii. We ate breakfast there and we got a great picture there before heading out for our anniversary dinner.The only thing we would change would be the air conditioner. It didn't work for us. But it's not too much of an issue if you're out most of the day. Just open the sliding glass door to the lanai and let in the cool evening air when you get back from your adventures.Really good experience. Would love to come back some day.

Property was exactly as described, great location. Kitchen had all the utensils/Tupperware/appliances etc. that you could want. Came stocked with beach chairs, snorkels/masks, boogie boards, and other things I didn’t expect to want or need. The code on the lockbox to get the key was different than what I received in previous communication, but that was cleared up with a quick and easy phone call. Great place to stay, absolutely no complaints.
