Incredible Ocean views, Elevator, 2 Pools and Barbecue's available for use by the pool area. Well Located in South Kihei Close to All Points of Interest and Steps to Some of the Best Beaches in Maui.
This is a modest spacious town home format with a master bedroom and bath on the entry level, and a second master bedroom and bath on the second level with an additional open Loft bedroom(2 Twin beds). There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and in the living room as well. Laundry facilities are inside the condo. Air conditioners are in the bedrooms. The unit has a nice ocean view from the lanai and a equally nice mountain view. Both baths have large showers.
The entire complex is on multiple acres of green shrubs with both salt water and fresh water pools, as well as a tennis court.
Our condo can accommodate up to 8 guests with two king beds,2 twin beds in loft, and a full sofa bed in the living room. Hale Kamaole Resort is within walking distance of local shops, restaurants ,and beach gear rentals.
Nearly 75% of our guests have been with us before which speaks well for the complex. Many of our guests are European, Asian, Aussies all of whom enjoy the quiet family friendly atmosphere. It is not unusual for strangers to invite you to their table to share a meal. It is a great place to make new friends.
Distance to Hale Kamaole Beach park is a mere 25 yards where you can enjoy the beach, a walking trail and some of the most beautiful sunsets in all Hawaii.
There is ample free parking and never a booking or registration fee. The property's location is also well located for access to Makenna State park and the impressive Lava Flows further south beyond the beautiful Wailea hotels. A lot to take in or just relax at the pools. Welcome!

Unit a little bit on the older than expected. Needed lots of care. Not enough AC unit to cool the place down. Had to open front and back door at night to cool the place down. Lucky had a breeze most of the time to get comfortable. Size of the unit was big enough, amenities were good and best of all, location was excellent!

Tony, the owner/mgr was very friendly & nice. Toilet was gushing water when we arrived, Tony said he had tried to find a plumber but couldn't, so all 7 of us would have to use the upstairs master toilet... Since that wouldn't work, (and we had no where else to go) my husband and son-in-law volunteered to replace the toilet for him. Tony offered us 2 days free stay on our next visit, or said he would mail us a check for $110 refund for our current stay. Parts of the condo were clean, but valances, fans, screen doors were FILTHY, we had to keep screens open to facilitate air flow. 2 SMALL window A/C don't keep unit cool, but did help when trades weren't blowing. Cabinet doors were broken in bathroom and kitchen, electrical outlets in master with no outlet cover plates, no handle on frig door, no cover on filthy stove fan, interior needs painted, baseboards scratched, wallpaper peeling, tile bathroom grout moldy...but great location, nice ocean/sunset view, property is GREAT and nice property manager.

You can’t beat the location and the price was right but before we even walked in we were disappointed. It took several calls to the owner before I could get the key code to get inside- not ideal after a 6 hr flight with two small kids. Within 5 mins our toddler had found pills on the floor(ended up being vitamins but still), the place was humid and hotter than outside. One small a/c window unit in each bedroom but nothing in the central living space or the loft bedroom. Upstairs bathroom has no door so that was fun. There was no soap in the bathrooms. The place was clean unless you looked behind things. Peeling paint, hairballs on bedding. The place is CRUSTY and I don’t think any money has been put in to it or any updates since the 70s. Would never recommend- spend $30 extra a night and get a clean updated space that is more pleasant to stay in. We couldn’t believe the low standard for VRBO on this one. Will only be using another rental company next time

Most people leaving reviews are expecting Grand Wailea, and that’s not the case here. It was more than adequate, and took care of my needs. Tony was always available for questions, or any issues. I appreciate him & his place! I would definitely rent it again.

Property is located reasonably close to businesses in Kihei. The owner was reachable and responsive. Faucets, cupboards, amenities need repaired or replaced. Dishes had dried food on the in the drawers and cupboards. Hide-a-bed did not have linens to make it up as a bed. The dryer knob for temperature control was broken off so no way to change. The complex this unit is located in is well maintained. This unit at least needs a lot of refurbishment and repair

Condominium is located right across the street from a beautiful beach. Storage area off the deck has boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and kids beach toys. Very functional inside with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open loft so you can sleep six I left the pool code, Internet, login info, as well as other pertinent information on a note on the refrigerator. Also left coffee, filters, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, and detergent for the next guests. It’s never fun to have to go buy all those items when all you need is a few tide pods a little bit of coffee and some dish soap. Can’t beat the location which is also a very short walk from the Kihei boat launch in case you’re going, snorkeling, whale, watching, or diving.

Electric outlets with no covers, holes in walls, bathroom light not working, written description was in accurate, it's not three bedroom, it's two bedroom with a loft, refrigerator handle was missing, bathroom vanity well worn and one door broke, ceiling fan in upstairs bedroom cord broken off and not functioning, ceiling fan in living room one speed only and light not working, down stairs bathroom sink has no pressure just a trickle. It was a place to stay but worst I have been in.

The owner of this rental is a poor communicator. We were told by him to contact him a week prior to going on vacation. We tried to contact him multiple times on multiple days. He finally contacted us the night before. When we arrived we found the property to be in need of maintenance. There are 2 ceiling fans that didn’t work, multiple lights in the unit didn’t work, bathroom lights upstairs and downstairs worked intermittently. Some fans were provided but one was full of water!! The pullout couch was awful. The carpet looked very worn and dirty. Many of the pans were so very scraped up and rusted so they couldn’t be used. The only redeeming quality of this unit is the location.

Great location…and that is it. Owner is not a good communicator, which is very troublesome. Sent him a message that the main bedroom ceiling fan doesn’t work and he directed me to “other fans in the closet.” The place is old and in need of major updating and repairs - things like cabinet door hinges are busted. Minor, but annoying when paying this much. Property where condo exists is great. However, I would give up a little in location to be in a more comfortable bed, have a door on the main bathroom (yeah, no door), and not have to worry about when I run the A/C.

We loved the location of the resort. We had the prettiest views from our third floor patio. We could see the ocean one way, the mountains the other way and could see the kids at the pool at the same time. The resort was perfect. There were two pools, gas and charcoal grills, and the grounds were immaculate. The condo was extremely spacious. The two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and extra beds in the loft and sofa in the living room gave us plenty of sleeping options. The value for what we paid was great. The unit wasn’t perfect and some things were outdated but we were able to overlook some things based on our rate, the resort, and location.

I rented this condo in Maui as a gift for my family. I was somewhat embarrassed by the stained carpet on the stairs and upstairs rooms. There were only 2 drinking cups in the kitchen. There were only 4 bath towels. There were only 2 ice trays in the freezer. We bought 8 cups, 2 towels, 2 ice trays, hangers and wash cloths. The upstairs master bedroom mattress was awful!! There is no Wi-Fi either unless you go to an unsecured site. No password available! On a positive note… the refrigerator, air conditioner, fans, stove, blinds, washer and dryer worked well and were appreciated. The grounds were beautiful and the beach a few steps away was fabulous!! I think it was the best of all for snorkeling 😊

I had a very pleasant experience at this location. I was able to gain access to the property immediately upon arriving. The beach was a short walk across the street. Shopping ventures and hikes were within walking distance as well. The neighborhood was relatively quiet and pleasant. I could see whales from the lanai EVERY morning! My only issue with the property was I didn't know I needed to register my vehicles and had I known that, we could have signed up for island activities at the office. Otherwise great value for the price.

We stayed in Kihei for a girls trip to Maui. The location of the condo was amazing. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. We also enjoyed walking across the street to the park to watch the sunset. Overall we were very happy with our stay and the accommodations with 2 king bags, and two twin beds were perfect for our group of 5 women. We didn't get any information to check in and had to wait for somebody to give us access to the condo. The condo was tidy but very dated and pretty dusty. Simple things like updated decor, bedding, linens would be nice. Thanks Tony for a great stay!

Our stay would have been fine, (good location and plenty of space) But it was dramatically effected by the worst handoff I have had ever. Upon our arrival, I realized email titled "keys to your stay" did not have adequate information. We were unable to reach our host, nor was Vrbo. This played out for hours and Vrbo eventially instructed us 2 a.m. ish to find a place to stay for the night. The next day we were in touch with our host who said we arrived a day early. He then gave us entry info for a place that was not correct (different unit that he owned). Once we sorted that out we were able to start our stay 24 hours later. Not a great way to start our vacation.

We stayed here for 5 days and it was a dirty, filthy condo. The build up of dust and dirt on window coverings, light fixtures and carpet was appalling. The air did not work to cool at all. Light fixtures were missing from the ceilings and others were taped with masking tape to keep them up. The main bathroom had holes in the walls taped with duct tape. Then to top it all back, we had construction going on in the condo 4 days out of our trip from 8 to 4. The owner refuses to answer or compensate me in any way. This has gone on for 2 months now. do not rent from him.

I tried to work things out with the manager, but made no progress. If you gain nothing else from our experience, please save your time and money and look elsewhere. Read the other negative reviews, they are spot on. I only wish I had heeded their warnings before I booked this place. We never received access information from the manager. Despite messaging him, we heard nothing. I finally had to call after arriving in HI and headed to the property. On entry we noticed a very powerful musty odor, the temperature inside was 85+ because the AC and fans were shutoff and all the windows and doors were shut. Additionally, the place was completely filthy. There were layers of dirt and dust on the fans, blinds, railings, light fixtures, window coverings, and refrigerator. The carpet was also heavily soiled and stained. There was no mention of the 2 large areas of drywall cut out that left the plumbing exposed. The towel bars in the bathroom were broken off the wall, and the toilet seat was broken and hanging down. Most of the light fixtures had no bulbs nor globes. The ceiling fan upstairs didnt work and was dangling. The wifi was so slow it couldn't be used. The extra pillows had yellow stains, the downstairs closet was so full with the owner's stuff that it couldn't be used, and there were small bugs crawling in the bathroom and downstairs bedroom. We ultimately decided not to stay in this place and secured nicer hotel rooms down the beach the next morning. I called the manager Tony to explain that we were relocating and would like a refund. Tony told me in order to issue a refund I had to contact VRBO to cancel the reservation, and that he couldn't do it. I called VRBO, and was told they couldnt cancel the reservation either, that the owner had to do it. I called Tony back, and was told by him, once again, that he couldn't cancel and I needed to call VRBO to cancel. Ultimately I dont think the reservation was ever cancelled. I have sent Tony 2 emails, per his request, documenting our experience and requesting a refund, but to date, have never received any response. Everytime I call, he gives me his personal email and asks me to send another email. In the end, we haven't received our money back, and had to pay for new accommodations during the week because this place was so bad. I didn't want to leave this review, but having not received any response from Tony, and our stay was almost 1 month ago, this is my only recourse

The location of this property was excellent. We had a one year old who loved the grassy park across the street allowing groups of us to snorkel. The snorkeling was good and we saw turtles often. It was central for many other adventures like turtle Town and Maui Ocean center. We had a great stay and the beds were all quite comfortable. The owner was close and prompt on fixing the small problems we had. I will stay here again for sure. Loved Kihei!

There were holes in the wall, a towel bar ripped off the wall, the toilet was running for the first week. Then repaired by manager who arrived. ABout 730 one evening when we were entertaining family. Then the a/c went out and was not repaired. Then oil spurted from under the refrigerator and the range hood fell down fortunately no one was injured. We weren’t home at the time. Further the tv didn’t work in the bedroom and there were no instructions concerning WiFi or other systems. Of these problems, all of which were brought to the managers attention only the toilet was repaired. Shame on them for renting a place in this state. It ruined our vacation

The property is in a great location. When traveling to excursions you flow against traffic. Property is located across from the beach. Listed as 3 bedroom but really two bedroom with a loft with two singles. Older condo which could use some in depth cleaning and updating. Fine for the going price in Hawaii though. Only AC in the two bedrooms with fans for the other areas. Listing agent was readily available to talk to and quite friendly.

We rented this condo for a family vacation in Maui. The condo location was great, it was within walking distance to beaches, shops, and restaurants. The condo was also fairly clean. During our stay we found the condo was missing a lot of things including beach towels, snorkel equipment, and a can opener. The condo needs new beds, new towels, and a face lift. The upstairs “king bed” was actually 2 twin beds pushed together. There was no door between the upstairs bedroom and bathroom which affected privacy. The downstairs toilet water kept running. Tony said he would send someone to fix it, but he didn’t during our week-long stay. Additionally, the garbage disposal inconsistently worked. Tony did not communicate well before and during the trip. There was no information about how to connect to the internet. When I called Tony, he told me to find the password on the router, and if it still didn’t work, I should call Spectrum. The condo is advertised for 8 people, we had 7 people but we were charged an extra person fee. Tony never responded to my questions about the extra fee. When I asked him about things that were missing (ie beach towels) he blamed it on previous tenants. I would not stay in the condo again or recommend it to others. The condo is shabby and Tony was not helpful.
