We have stayed at Waikiki Shore many times but this was our first time using Captain Cook Resorts. We will definitely use them from now on. Unit #814 was exactly as shown in their property description, immaculate and very well maintained. We were met by Paul for a very pleasant check-in and check-out was so simple. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and are looking forward to visiting again.

This place is very nice, so close to the beach, restaurants, shops, bars, and entertainment. Definitely go to MonkeyPod while you are there. The kitchen and washer/dryer was very nice to have. The views were stunning. AC was good, internet was reliable, and cable TV was easy to use. The only cons were that there was some mold in the shower and the drain stopper in the bathroom sink had to be propped open to allow for drainage. The beach chairs could also be replaced as zippers were broken on some of the pouches. Other than that, it had everything we wanted.

This property was ok for a 2 day stay. I wouldn’t recommend for a week. It was under construction and only one elevator was working. Wait times were very long. We arrived as a group and they could only take one room up at a tlime which also created more wait time. Room was very small and no dishwasher. On the positive side the bed was very comfortable and the view was nice. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. We saw a couple of other rooms and the appointments were much nicer than ours.

When using dryer I had to reset it 6 or 7 times for it to dry one batch of clothes. Then every time you put TV on you had to start resetting it so that it would play extremely frustrating. Sorry but when I return for another trip I won't be staying at Captain Cook Real Estate again nor would I recommend it.

I wish I could give more than five stars. Of all the places we've been in Oahu, this property and location are ideal. Peaceful, on the beach, lush surroundings, modern amenities, fantastic views, all at a fair price. Communication was great and the host was thorough and congenial. The online listing is extremely accurate. Highly recommended!!

Perfect sized balcony with patio furniture. Bathroom was spacious. Provided beach gear a definite plus. On the beach with all the different services you need. Paul was very responsive to questions and any issues.

I cancelled hotel rooms several times until I found this gem. Right on the beach with an unobstructed view of ocean. I couldn’t have imagined being in Honolulu and then only having a view of the concrete jungle. Condo is close to everything in Waikiki. Condo was clean and big enough for two.

The condo is perfect for one couple. The balcony has an awesome ocean and beach view. The 2 chairs were perfect for carrying down to the beach and also packing in the car to head to other beaches. The parking spot in the garage was great. It was very secure and an easy ride up from the basement garage to the 8th floor condo. The key fob to use the elevator and the entry gates added an extra layer of security. Plenty to eat around the condo. The steak shack, Poke bar, King of Thai was among our favorites. Being based out of Waikiki made it very easy to see the whole island. No place was more than 1 hour (or 30 miles) away. Paul was great to deal with for check in and our one inconvenience of a slow draining shower which was fixed immediately. Would definitely stay here again.

When I got there, I was told they knew nothing about parking for us and that I could rent a space from the building for $35 p/night. Being put in that position, I had no choice but to pay them. Straight up, this is probably the best property in this part of Waikiki. I felt bad for the folks at the Outrigger next door because most of them have zero view of the ocean or sunset.
The view was so great that we had dinner and drinks on the balcony several times during our stay and enjoyed the perfect view of the beach and sunset.
Access to the beach itself is so convenient and the private outdoor shower let us clean up before heading to our room, minimizing tracking in sand and such.
Parking was surprisingly spacious, Having stayed at other Waikiki properties, I expected tiny tetris-skill requiring parking spots, but the parking garage here is pretty good.
The only downside would probably be the bar height interior metal chairs. They are strong, light and fashionable but boy are they uncomfortable to sit in. Considering that's my most critical opinion of #814, you should hesitate to book this place.

We had a good time staying at this VRBO unit. You cannot beat the location. The building was ocean-front. It’s a short walk to cafes, restaurants, bars, and shopping. The bus lines were right next to the condominium. The only area we could see improvement was the completely empty pantry…one serving of coffee for our entire 9 days of stay……nothing else, not even salt and pepper. The plate set was incomplete and mismatched. I am sure people break them by accident but owner should replace them properly since we were paying insurance (Accidental Damage Insurance) for our stay.

If you want a SPECTACULAR view of waterfront Waikiki Beach, a front view seat of the fireworks every Friday evening, being direct in DOWNTOWN Waikiki, parking facilites (against payment), washer/drier, shower, bidet , large fridge/freezer,micro/oven/stove (gas) and an extremely asisting property manager 24/7..... then go no further.
