Picture yourself in paradise, a spacious elevator-accessible top floor 1 bedroom 2 bath condo with expansive living/dining area. Step out onto a double-wide tiled lanai with beautiful ocean & mountain views. We are in the most quiet & private building in the back of the White Sands Village complex, right across from Magic Sands Beach, the only white sand swimming beach in Kona. You are far from traffic noise and next to a natural preserve. Wake to the sounds of parrots and other wild birds.

Begin and end a day of frolicking in the ocean waves right across the street. Or take advantage of the newly renovated heated salt water swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, sauna, game room with pool table, and use one of the 4 gas BBQ grills. Or simply enjoy the colorful, beautifully manicured White Sands Village foliage and swaying palm trees.

At day's end, watch a spectacular sunset from your lanai as the sea breezes cool you off and warm your heart. Wonderful breezes sweep through the rooms most of the year with both front and rear screen doors for ventilation, a multitude of floor and ceiling fans available to contribute to the flow. We also have central air for those times when it is too hot or humid.

Our condo was originally a thousand square foot two bedroom apartment. It was converted to one bedroom in order to double the living room / dining room space. It will feel large compared to many other units.

You'll have no stairs to negotiate - your covered parking space is right by the elevator which lets you off right near your front door.

The condo has mango wood cabinets and hardwood floors in every room. Picture yourself in a well-organized kitchen complete with updated double-wide refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove/oven and microwave, and toaster, blender, coffee maker and other appliances. The dining room table seats eight, next to a cabinet storing Palm Tree dishes and glassware, or, if you prefer, simple white stoneware is available in a kitchen cabinet.

The bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed. The two bathrooms give you a choice of a beautiful tiled shower with bench or a tub/shower combination with glass backsplash.

Comfortable recliners look out to the lanai which has its own dining table with four chairs. A queen size sofa bed completes a cozy combo facing the 48" Sony flatscreen TV for kicking back and enjoying cable entertainment nestled in with lots of art on the walls and lanai.

Plenty of towels, beach chairs, sand mats and ice chests are available for your enjoyment. A stacked washer/dryer awaits. There is lots of closet space filled with everything you might need including an iron!

To prepare for your on-island pursuits, a travel binder and brochures are at your fingertips as well as a charging station including two USB ports for all of your electronics.

Snorkeling among the hundreds of colorful exotic fish in the calm waters at Kahaluu Beach Park, only a mile south, is grand for both novices and the more experienced alike. Waves break just right at the north end of the park, making it a perfect location to learn how to surf under the guidance of local instructors.

Keauhou Shopping Center which hosts KTA Supermarket, Longs Drug, Regal Movie Theaters and many smaller shops and restaurants is only another mile south.

Kona Country Club's top notch golf courses are open to the public and are also only 2 miles away. Keauhou Bay, also in the same area is the launching point for many water based tours and activities on the Kona Coast. Downtown Kailua-Kona with its many attractions is only a little over three miles north. And you must visit Gypsea Gelato, which we believe has the best gelato outside of Europe, in the town of Kealakekua, a scenic 15 minute drive away.

One of the best things is how quiet it is. Most oceanfront accommodations along Alii Drive suffer from some traffic noise. We are far enough from the road so that we don't have any. And at White Sands Village, the lanais in the front two buildings face each other over the pool area. Our building is much more private. And, being on the top floor, we don't have to worry about hearing someone's footsteps over us!

You will need to sign a rental contract and agree to abide by the White Sands Village House Rules in order for your booking to be finalized. The rules are fairly standard - and are written with safety and consideration of all guests in mind.

Hawaii Law requires that we post our Transient Accommodations Tax ID and our Short Term Vacation Rental Permit Number. The Tax ID is TA-124-260-9664-01 and the permit number is STVR-19-377459. Registration Number: TA-124-260-9664-01, GE-124-260-9664-01

The condo is exactly what you need for a Kona getaway. It is well located, the lanai provides a lovely view of the ocean, it is clean and well equipped. We appreciated the comfortable surroundings and would definitely consider staying again. The description of the facility is accurate, with one exception. There are no tennis courts. They have been removed.

The property is exactly as advertised, nice pool, great sunsets. The only bummer was the broken elevator, so climbing with luggage and gear was a pain. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable, need a refresh. The lanai was great to sit on in the morning having breakfast and watching the water.

We had a great visit- fortunately we had a buddy that just moved there and he was able to drive us all around the island. The elevator was out- our whole 5 nights and 6 days and being on the 3rd floor was somewhat of an inconvience with a bad knee but we managed- could have been a deal break for some though so that should be pointed out if not fixed. Other than that everything was awesome. (One screwn door seemed to not want to stay on track)

This condo was in the perfect location, central to a lot of beaches. We really enjoyed walking down to Magic Sands Beach to watch the sunset. The only thing that could have been better is if we felt like we could use the AC. We were quite warm at night and with the windows open the birds would wake us up at 4 in the morning. My poor husband didn't get much sleep! The kitchen had just about everything you need and more. It was so nice to have a cooler to pack our lunch in, too. Over all we really enjoyed our stay here.

This condo has been transformed into a comfortable 1 bedroom apartment, ideal for one person or a couple. It is very quiet - off the road. Many WSV properties are quite noisy, but not this one. WSV has many amenities in addition to being across the street from Magic Sands Beach. You can catch the shuttle into town or up to the grocery and drug store a short distance away. Comfort and convenience in one beautifully decorated condo.

All honesty…Everything was clean & adequate. We have stayed in fancier places but this listing has a lot more going for it with the location and views. The pics are accurate. The pool is nice because it’s deep, but if you have little kids bring floaties. The best part about this place is the birds nesting at night, you know after watching whales breach all day…from the balcony! (Maybe bring binoculars) It’s 3 stories up right at tree top. The birds chirp as they climb into the treetops to nest for the night & for about 1/2 hour until sunset it’s an amazing thing to hear (& I don’t even like birds). Parking/elevator/front door are a couple steps away. Nice & convenient! Trolley stop right on street. This location & views make it a cool place to stay. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay with a view of the ocean. Condo was immaculate with extras such as boogie boards, beach towels, small coolers, etc. Very convenient to town and local activities. Very good restaurant right across the street on the ocean. I highly recommend this property and will certainly book it again on my next trip. And the foldout sofa was very comfortable!

The unit was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect with a short drive to the shops in downtown, and equally short jaunt to the beautiful Captain Cook area. White Sands Village is a well maintained complex, and the unit is towards the back away from the street so pretty quiet. It's clear the hosts care about their guests and want to ensure a great stay.

We had a great time. The condo was roomy and extremely comfortable. The lanai had great views of the ocean and surrounding areas, and the location across from White Sands beach is really convenient and quiet. We would come back again.

This property is located steps away from the beach and a wonderful restaurant. It is spacious and has a wonderful view of the ocean from the balcony. We enjoyed our morning coffee outside and noticed how quiet and peaceful the entire complex was. The pool area was a bonus and we would recommend this property to our friends.

Good view of the ocean. Well equipped and nicely furnished. Pleasant air flow through the condo made ac unnecessary. Close to the elevator, but stairs were good exercise. Pool was attractive and well maintained, and the bbq was conveniently located.

Left Kona a long time ago to chase dreams and aspirations. Decided to return to Kona after decades of absence to visit my property on the island and start to plan y return. This was also my first VRBO experience. Overall, everything was outstanding. Location was clean and prepared, owner expectations were clear, and reading the material they provided for tourists is exceptional. I visited family and friends and this location made it easy to have the "home" experience, knowing I could come home, clean up and relax. All amenities seemed to work and there was an abundance of supplies to use; seemed from community use. We made many meals. On our second night there, we did have one hiccup. Bob called to say there was a noise complaint and that someone came knocking on our door. Well, wife was in bed by 9PM and I worked until 1AM on latop, and we absolutely were not the source of the disturbances (although I did not hear / nor pay attention). Bob called immediately to address the situation the next day. We discussed and ensured that we were great renters and we were not the source of the complaint. This is NOT a dig but PRAISE for that situation; he was on it and that tells me he is concerned for the facility, his rental and the community it houses. It showed me he has freedom for his renters but also on any disturbances, on it to keep the peace. Great work and great stay. thank you, mahalo nui loa kakou, A hui hou.

The properties in this area are older and the area can get very crowded. The place is as advertised but it just wasn’t for us. Furniture, furnishings, and appliances were dated and the list of things to do or not to do was very extensive, which took away from the the relaxing vacation that we were hoping for. The tipping point was that the owner discourages use of the AC as electricity is expensive on the island. So we checked out on day 3 out of 7 and moved to another property that suited us better.

We had a great time during our week stay here. Everything we could ever need and more was provided to make it feel like home. Vrbos are the way to go. Cheaper and better quality than any hotel.

Our stay was great! The location was easily accessible albeit the beach across was super busy, especially during the weekend! The unit was clean and stocked with everyday necessities. Bob was very accommodating to our specific needs. We will definitely return for another visit sooner rather than later. Mahalo!

We really enjoyed our week stay. The condo had everything we needed, was comfortable and very clean. Enjoyed having breakfast and coffee in the morning on the balcony with such a great view. Good location for day trips to beaches and sites.
