This condo is in a convenient location, it is very clean, and is also well stocked with all of the necessities. The boogie boards on the lanai were a plus. The condo could definitely use some maintenance for things like the dirty walls, worn carpet, torn screens, old kitchen appliances, etc. The condo was clean in regards to housekeeping. The beds were very comfortable. It has a partial ocean and pool view. We had no issues with any bugs, noise, or temperature. The condo stayed comfortable with the windows and doors open and fans running. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

unfortunately the mixed reviews on this property make it difficult to determining in advance of booking if it is indeed good/bad - so size was great for 6 people, the carpet in the bedroom's is disgusting and needs replaced immediately.....i use VRBO frequently and this was by far the most disappointing - some TLC to this property would greatly enhance its appeal.....

The location was generally good, near Ka’anapali and of course the ocean. One drawback was the beach park just adjacent, which led to lots of noise at times. The property is not well-maintained: in the primary bedroom the carpet has multiple stains, the drapes are rotting, the doors to the closet are grimy, and the faucets in the bathroom leak water onto the counter. The dishwasher is useless-the racks are rusting out, soap does not dissolve, and dishes aren’t cleaned. The front doorknob does not engage, so that the door will not open, even when unlocked, without a key. There was only one key besides the one in the lock-box. We called about some maintenance items and were told they had no record of us being in the unit. We went to the office in Lahaina, and eventually the issues were addressed.

I've stayed in this unit before 5 years ago. Nothing has changed. It's very dated and highly used with many things broken or extremely worn. The dishwasher was rusted out and didn't close right, the lamp in the living room was broken and cut my toddlers hand, the curtains in the master room were shredded as if they were cut into straps and the slider doors didn't close completely. Just a cute place that really needs some TLC and updating. The unit was fully stocked with everyday needs but the worn out carpet with stains and small things really made me sad as I remembered this condo being amazing 5 years ago. If they update it, I will definitely come back but until then I think we will try a different location or condo unit.

We have been coming to Paki Maui for 10 yrs. We have had wonderful experiences each time. This year was a BUST! When we got there the key pad was missing and we had to wait for the locksmith to get there to open the room and provide new keys. There was dirty towels/washcloths on floor and in showers. Opened shampoo containers still in shower. There were many other issues, which was reported. On the 2nd day I slept on the couch bed and I woke up totally bitten all over my body. I had to go to Dr to get med relief for them. The Dr told me it was bed bugs. So I reported this to Chase N Rainbows they sent housekeeper over who looked at the couch and said NOT BED BUGS and she was experienced at this. OK fine so again we called we were told that it could be sand Haley who I talked to said they would contact a exterminator and we would have to be gone at least 2 hrs for them to take care of the issue. she would call us back. SHE WAS VERY RUDE, LAUGHING AT US BECAUSE WE WERE UPSET AND WE ASKED FOR ANOTHER ROOM. She said they would not pay for it and we had a contract of this room Rm 224. But we also never was contacted about the exterminator, never heard another word from them. We left very unhappy and our vacation in our favorite room was disappointing.

This little place fit all our needs. The absolute best part is the 2 balconies with ocean views. We fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and awoke to beautiful sunrises. The place was slightly older but updated. It came with a variety of beach toys and chairs. The outdoor kitchen was awesome. The dishwasher is on its last leg. The property manager wasn't super responsive. We didn't get the actual key to the place for about 4 days (had to use the emergency backup key). Overall, it was beautiful and felt like home.

Very nice space. Well equipped, helpful staff, didn’t need AC at all. The airflow through the condo was wonderful!!!! Cooked tri-tip down at the pool on the grill, slept very well, coffee every morning in the Lanai. Everything we expected. Not much of a beachfront though. Six foot drop off the sea wall, short beach but great snorkeling. Should have stayed longer to spread out cleaning fees and such. Still got great value for the experience.

Rented 2 units at Paki Maui for 6 days. My family has been visiting Maui for over 40 years, always staying in condominiums. This was our first time using Chase’N Rainbows and will probably be our last. We arrived after check in your time and neither unit had been cleaned nor any beds made up. The free wifi promised in one of the units never materialized and when questioned about itChase’N Rainbows stated “we don’t do any maintenance or help requests on unit 310 wifi” This was not mentioned anywhere on any website which promised free wifi. The units had clothes from prior guests and smelled like cooking oil. There were splatters of food on the kitchen floor. Unit 310 had no shower curtain! Paki Maui only had one working elevator for entire large complex. Domestic disturbance one night. Roosters all hours of the night. Area near ocean has both staircases blocked off, plywood covering other problem areas on grounds. Just not good in general. A significant opportunity missed.

This condo was all right for our basic needs (place to sleep, decent location near Kaanapali and Lahaina), but the entire place needs a lot of upgrading to feel comfortable. Clumps of hair stuck on shower walls (gross! - this is a housekeeping issue), stained carpets, major rips in the drapes, faucets leaking a lot onto counter, master toilet light not working. There are not enough dishes. There were only 3 bowls, and a miscellaneous grouping of plates and cups. Plenty of silverware and utensils. The dishwasher did not work; everything came out covered in sludge (gross again!). I have not exaggerated about the issues. I would not recommend this rental at all in the condition it is in. It really put a damper on our trip overall.

Washing machine broken. Dirty. Carpet not vacuumed. Pretty bare. No salt and pepper. No detergent. No coffee filters. Dirty beach towels left behind. Loud. Overall, not a great feeling.

The room was beautiful. The view of the ocean is good but there are better views at Paki Maui. We stay at Paki Maui every time we come to Maui. We love everything about the place. The property management was slow to send us our final confirmation and the details for check in. I had to email then to get that info. They were good about sending our a repair person to fix the smoke alarms that were missing when we got there. The washing machine was broken and they said they would get a repair person for that. We were only there for a week and the machine was still broken when we checked out. Could be they had a hard time finding a repair person in this post covid time. The room could use a few more dishes. We had a party of 5 and had just enough dishes for one meal most time. Otherwise it is a clean and very pretty unit. We had a wonderful time.

This property was great for our family vacation. Beautiful views, great location. It had everything we needed- plenty of linens, cooking tools, and beach toys. Everything went smoothly and we would definitely return. There was a fantastic baby- friendly beach at Honokawai Park next door, complete with playground and bathrooms. My preschoolers loved it!

Everything was great. The view was lovely and the accommodation were very nice. The only negative would be the lack of kitchen materials ie: mixing bowls, coffee grinder etc. It was minimally appointed.

We were surprised by the size. Great family accommodation with the king master overlooking deck, grove and ocean with wall to wall windows, and kids room with two separate beds. Quiet well built building.. never heard our neighbors. Laundry in suite. Weird that beach towels are not provided... Bring your own as rentals are pricey.

Great location and unit. Well equipped including backup power during Hurricane Lane. Fans and breeze keep you comfortable but it is pretty warm in August, especially with Kona winds. The hurricane actually cooled it off. Some of our family opted for air conditioned hotels nearby. I would come here again.
