We have stayed at Emdeko units in the past and really enjoy this location. Close to Kona but away from the hustle bustle. The pools are especially nice, a key feature we look for, just double check they are not closed for maintenance. We hope to come again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. This unit has all the necessary amenities for the beach it was great to not need to rent anything. The staff and tenants were all super friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again

Perfect accommodation after flying into Kona in the evening. Easy access, comfortable, clean and quiet. Slept with the bedroom windows open and heard some street traffic and the window opens to the walkway that other guests use, but even sleeping with the windows open it was quiet. Saltwater pool adjacent to ocean waves spraying mist over the railings is amazing. Comfortable for two or a small family.

Wasn’t worth the price we paid per night. One complaint no dining area in condo. Dining table outside is not covered and it rained every evening. If you had questions or concerns no one on-site to help. Mesquites were horrible!!!
Having to wash all linens before check out time of 10am was inconvenient. Will not be staying here again.

Fantastic location with the ocean and town at your fingertips. Great food and market just a short walk away. Only two negative comments are they were working on plumbing weekly so you need to watch for water shutoff notifications and we had people on the third floor who were Very heavy walkers and in the morning and evening it sounded like the floor was going to come down on us

From the moment my husband and I arrived this property was all wrong. There was no parking, no front desk person to assist us, and the noise level never stopped. All 4 days we stayed it sounded like someone was having a dance party above us and kids screaming non-stop. My husband turned on a slow song on the patio to dance with me and we got in trouble for that. Someone tried coming into our room at 8am and my husband had to insist they had the wrong room. If we could of left early from this place trust me we would had.

I know this is a wet state but I didn’t expect black mold to be in the washer, the dishwasher, the linens, etc. Needs a massive clean job to rid the mold and multiple dehumidifiers. There is one small one in the bedroom but that is it!

Have been at this condo several times and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Love the big patio, the only 1 bedroom with one. Only disappointment was that the large ocean front pool was closed because of damage from very high surf. I've already booked two more short stays here this winter.

Lovely maintained gardens, sand, and 2 pool areas and the view was great. Only issue we had was a few nights of noise from upstairs neighbours/vacationers but really not too bad and otherwise seems like a quiet complex. The apartment itself was very clean and well stocked with towels and linens. Downtown is close enough to walk. I would definitely recommend this place.

We loved this place, it is large and clean and I was especially pleased with all the pool and beach supplies, snorkels etc. the full size washer and dryer were helpful too. The location is a little way from the super busy part of Ali’i drive so quiet and private, we always had the pool to ourselves!

All was great. Only complaint is dryer hooks clothes on the dryer vent screen frame. Put tape on the ends of it to not ruin your clothes. Great location. Great people.

We had a wonderful time in this great apartment. Breakfast, meals, relaxing, reading and napping on the extra large lanai was amazing. We had a couple of days that we just stayed here on the property doing puzzles (find in the cupboard in the main lobby), meeting some of the friendly residents, and lounging in the shade on the sand next to the pool, right next to the ocean!
The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, more spices other than salt and pepper would be nice.
The futon couch is now on the lanai and a newer comfy couch replaces the one shown in the main photo. Ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room circulate the air well.
Oh! Another great thing is the supply of beach supplies including 2 Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie board, pool toys and coolers. These were a huge help to us since we were able to volunteer for the humpback whale count! (The last Saturday of Jan, Feb, March).
A highlight of our stay was the Kanaloa Octupus Farm! Located behind the Kona airport. It is an interactive, conservation farm for day Octupus. A must do when in Kona!
There are plenty of nearby grocery stores and places to eat. If you can, make a reservation for Jackie Rey's.
We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was very clean and well stocked. The kitchen was easy to work in, good appliances. Loved having large capacity washer and dryer. We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners on the large lanai overlooking the garden with ocean views. I think our favorite part was the daily swims in the salt water pool and the incredible sunsets enjoyed by everyone down at the cabana and beach area. The resort is very quiet in the evening - so great sleep. Easy access to town and wherever we wanted to go.

Had a great 3 nights at this location. Location is a couple of miles south of the busier part of Kona’s shops and restaurants but easily walkable. The complex has a nice fresh water pool, interesting salt water pool and a beach with amazing views of the waves crashing against the shoreline. It’s very private and gated. A corner market store is only a few steps away. The unit itself has a nice view overlooking the courtyard. The lanai is big and spacious. Beds are comfortable, kitchen and bath functional. Great tv selection with Spectrum cable and WIFI worked well. Overall pleased with the unit and fairly priced.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The condo was beautiful, impeccable! It was very quiet and comfortable. The bed was excellent. Very nice washer/dryer. The linens were very nice. We will be back and have recommended it to our family and friends. It was very nicely located as well with a little store within walking distance! Highly recommend and we will be back!

Has everything you need in a beautiful location. Liquor/ mini mart next to it, so convenience! Biggest con was that you have to wash all the linen and towels which is inconvenient when checkout is at 10, not to mention the fact there is a cleaning fee so why am I doing most the cleaning?

Property nice and well maintained. Unit was clean and very comfortable, Pedestrian gate code did not work. When I tried to get the property manager in the office, no one was there. Tried multipole times. We just used the car entrance gate. Other people were having the same problem. Mahalo

Spent nine days in Kona at the Casa De Emdeko. The apartment was wonderful, well stocked kitchen, nice bedroom and bathroom and living room. The lanai was fantasic with a view of the gardens and the ocean. Ate all our meals outside. The condo is well situated, did not even rent a car. If you don't want to spend a fortune to stay in a big noisy hotel, and want to be able to eat your own cooking, this place cannot be beat. Absolutely peaceful and beautiful. Worth every penny. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
