From our communication with the owner to our nightly sunset viewings from the lanai, everything was absolutely perfect! We have never stayed in such a well-“stocked” VRBO! Absolutely everything you need for daily beach trips, everything you need to prepare meals in (if you aren’t being spoiled at the restaurant on site by our favorites, Kathy and Daniel), and everything you need for a very comfortable stay in paradise!

An amazing sunset seen from the lanai welcomed us to the Big Island after our long journey, and every night after that. Prime viewing for endless sunsets. Laurie Jo and Paul were so welcoming, and very easy to communicate with. Any questions were promptly answered. This was the perfect space for our family of 5. I loved that it was a first floor walk out. The cross breeze with the screened front door is wonderful. It was very clean and comfortable. Laurie Jo made sure we were equipped with beach towels and plenty of necessities. I highly recommend this property and hope we can return someday. Very sad to leave 😢Mahalo Laurie Jo & Paul

Great place for home base to explore the big island. It was so helpful to have access to the gear that we would otherwise have to rent. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. There was nothing else we could have needed!

We had a great time during our stay in Waikoloa. The on-site pool was kid friendly and easy to get to from our unit. There are 2 Peloton bikes in the gym area that we took advantage of during our stay. Would definitely stay again if we make it back to the Big Island.

We absolutely fall in love with this community, the property is at a perfect location. Mini-golf and tennis court right across the street. Laurie is an excellent host, communicated with us through out the months prior to our trip and answered so many questions about the area. We had a great stay at this house!

The property manager was very responsive and the place is stocked with all the essentials. It’s a nice unit, beds are very comfy and the view from the patio is awesome. We enjoyed the recreational items for a beach trip- which is where we spent most of our time. We also really love the on-site pool restaurant, food is great.
Not a reflection of this unit’s property manager but it is worth noting that the pool/HOA does have strict rules around kids playing at the pool (no yelling, one pool toy, hot tub restrictions) good for adults who want to relax by the pool. If you have kids keep this in mind, we chose to go to the beach so our kiddo could play freely.

This is our favorite property at Hali'i Kai at Waikoloa! Ground floor, three bedroom, with separate beds for our kids. They give you access to their garage, which is loaded with toys, bikes, and golf clubs. Couldn't have been a better trip! Thanks Laurie Jo and Paul!

This was a great condo, full of comfort and amenities but in the best location! You could see the ocean from the back lanai but also view golfers playing the Beach nine Waikoloa golf course. We had issues with the AC turning off, which requiring communication with Laurie Jo. A solution was found after a few days but it all worked out fine! (Keep all the windows/outside doors fully closed otherwise the system shuts off completely) There was wonderful cross winds that kept the condo cool. The magnetic screen door off the front was clutch to maintaining that great temp inside since it was 90 F almost every day! Laurie Jo was a great resource and very helpful. This was a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful home, well stocked, and in a great location. Pool was lovely and had amazing views. Ocean Grill restaurant and bar was really good. Keep in mind it is a small restaurant with a limited menu. We ate here multiple times. Sunsets were picture perfect every night. View from the lanai was beautiful. First floor corner unit with parking. Short walk or quick drive to the pool, gym, and ocean side restaurant. The host is very nice, very communicative, and provided terrific suggestions. We had a wonderful time! We would definitely return here again.

The condo was as good as advertised. Very comfortable and homey, with all the amenities we could ask for. The pool and Ocean Club sets Hali'i Kai apart from other communities we considered. The view was the real highlight though, with mornings and evenings spent enjoying the beautiful ocean and golf course view. And the owners were great, to deal with. When we had an issue with the front door, they did all they could to fix the issue as promptly as possible and even provided us lovely dinner at the Ocean Club to make up for the issue. This was so very thoughtful. We will definitely return to this awesome place.

Laurie Jo was a friendly and delightful host who was very communicative and provided great suggestions for our trip. Hali'i Kai is a gorgeous property and this unit has beautiful sunset/ocean/llava/golf course views. The kitchen was well-stocked, check-on/out easy, and there was plenty of space for our family of five. We loved the pool and beach club and Waikoloa is a perfect location with quick access to all kinds of activities. We would recommend Laurie Jo to any of our family and friends and would definitely stay here again.

Our family of five spent four nights here. Lots of space. The lanai is a beautiful spot for morning coffee or sunset cocktails! The garage is full of things that are useful! Boogie boards, masks and fins, tennis and pickle ball equipment, a cooler, beach chairs, bicycles, basketballs and golf clubs etc. etc. Also we enjoyed having beach towels to use for our excursions. The location is great and convenient to shopping restaurants and excursions.

This property is fantastic. The condo was perfect for our family of four adults. We loved the extras such as the chairs, cooler, and umbrella. The grounds were beautiful. We stayed in 7H by Laurie Jo. Thank you , your home is spotlessly clean, many amenities, excellent location. The location is the key . Inside Waikoloa are many hotels ie Hilton, Marriott and holiday rental estates including a massive Queens market with an array of take away food options and groceries . Hali’I Kai has immaculate gardens and the accommodation is perfect. The pool area offers cocktails and well priced, delicious menu . I would not hesitate to recommend to any friends or familyxxxx

We’ve stayed at many condos in Waikoloa and this one has by far the best extras we’ve ever encountered. The condo is beautiful and in a great location. Hali’i Kai 7H is perfect spot. The unit was very well equipped with bikes, boogie boards, tennis racquets, golf clubs, etc. Unit is close to the tennis and pickle ball court, has a nice ocean view, and is close walking distance to incredible ocean front pool where we watched whales breaching and pods of dolphins swim by.

This is a gorgeous home in a great location. Every morning was spent on the patio enjoying the view of the ocean and palm trees. Everything was well stocked so we didn't run out of anything. The clubhouse was also a great place to hangout, have a mai tai, and enjoy the sunset. It should be mentioned that there is a daily charge for the clubhouse and pool but I found it to be worth it. I hope we are able to come back!!

This property beautiful and is in an excellent location. We loved being so close to our favourite beach (Hapuna) and the having a great supply of beach gear in the garage. The bikes were fun for exploring the local area as well. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with - even dropping off some additional supplies when we were running low. We would highly recommend this property and will look to stay here again on future trips to paradise!

This property if comfortable, clean and has the most perfect view. The owners have went above and beyond to provide you with everything you need for a great stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with small appliances and the garage had all we needed to enjoy the outdoors. Beds were comfortable (this can make or break a stay). We had a fabulous time at Hal’ii Kai while renting this condo. A great location within the development being just a short walk to the ocean front pool and restaurant. The condo was neat, clean and well stocked. We loved the bbq on the lanai and all the beach gear available in the garage for us to use. Beautiful views from the lanai at every meal! We also really enjoyed the screen on the front door allowing for a wonderful cross breeze through the condo. We love open air living and didn’t need a/c at all. When speaking with Laurie Jo or Paul they were polite, friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come again!

Wonderful stay in this excellent condo. Laurie Jo was warm and clear in her communications. The space was ideal for our family. The kitchen was well-equipped— really appreciated sharp knives, newer appliances, etc
Bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. My only suggestion would be more supportive pillows, but that’s an individual preference. The space offers a view of the ocean and a nice walking trail above the coastline.

I booked this wonderful spot last winter as a late celebration for my 60th birthday and to celebrate Thanksgiving as a family for the first time since COVID started. We gathered from Boise Idaho, Chicago Illinois and Bloomington Indiana. The location is ideal and Laurie Jo and Paul excellent property owners. They responded quickly to our email about the grill igniter not working and later checked in us and wished us a Happy Thanksgiving. One of the most well appointed condos we’ve stayed in as well. Everything we needed! I highly recommend!!!

We loved everything about this property. Great location, easy walk to the pool area, parking right outside the front door. The garage is full of everything you could need for a Hawaii trip - beach chairs, bikes, boogie boards, snorkel gear, golf sets, tennis rackets, lacross rackets, tennis balls, cooler, water shoes, and more. It was the most stocked toy garage I have seen on a VRBO rental.
The inside is exactly as shown in the pictures. It feels even bigger and more spacious once you're there. One thing that stood out is that they don't trash every single kitchen item from the previous guests. I've stayed at rentals before that didn't even have salt and pepper. This rental had numerous spices, oils, vinegar, rice, pancake mix, mac & cheese, and more. It's nice to see all of this stuff. Saves some money on purchases and it's much less wasteful.
All in all an amazing vacation. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at 7H! The view was very nice and it is a clean and well maintained property. The only issue we had was a breaker went out and we had no lights the first night. The response from the owner was immediate, and we were quickly back to power. Also, the condo is too small to sleep 8 adults. But for 6, it is perfect. Or 8 with children. All in all, very nice and I would stay here again with my family.

Our family loved this ocean view unit. It was clean, nicely furnished and we hated leaving. Everything our family of five needed was at our unit. Beach chairs, towels, bikes, tennis, golf, basketball, etc. Laurie Jo didn’t miss a thing. The community is magnificent and the pool club and grill is a gem.

This is a beautiful property in a spectacular setting. There are many great aspects of this condo- large size, well appointed, beautiful patio, great pools, and many personal touches like spices, laundry supplies and beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The beds are a little soft and the bedding is less than luxurious. The sliding door does not lock, which is not ideal for a first floor condo. The couch and kitchen chairs are looking a little sad and stained. And it would be great to have a few more bath towels so as to not have to wash them mid stay. The owner has clearly invested a tremendous amount into this beautiful property, but it just needs a little refresh to receive 5 stars. We still absolutely loved our visit in Hawaii!!

We enjoyed our stay in this new Waikoloa condo. The bikes in the garage made it fun to explore the whole area without needing to get in the car. The kitchen is so well stocked! Probably the best stocked kitchen that I've ever rented. The grill on the back patio was super convenient too. I would definitely recommend this condo. It has all that you need. Very comfortable. This condo is a wonderful spot for family time in Waikaloa. Great location to go to the beautiful nearby beaches! The sunsets from this property are astounding. The kitchen was so well stocked with herbs and spices. The garage had all the beach toys you may need. Laurie Jo was very helpful with all questions! The pool area is beautiful too. This property is in a great location with excellent facilities. We took advantage of the pool and bar/restaurant almost every day, and the gear in the garage. The bikes were awesome to have for tooling around the neighborhood and we used all the beach and snorkeling gear as well. We spent every morning on the lanai drinking coffee and watching the ocean and the golfers. It has nice quick access to the island's best beaches. It's a great layout and the 6 of us were able to enjoy the space comfortably for the whole week. The owner was responsive, quickly, to all of my inquiries. Thanks for a fabulous place to stay for our much-needed vacation!

We all really loved staying in this condo. We could all spread out, cook good meals in the very spacious kitchen, and enjoy hanging out on the porch all times of the day and night, and easy access to clubhouse/restaurant/ pools. A very comfortable place to unwind at after being out all day on excursions and sight seeing.
