So far the best VRBO I have stayed in on Maui! From the second you walk in you will see unobstructed ocean views. Walk 20 ft and you will see turtles of all sizes swimming in the ocean with daily surprises on the beach. Reminder DON’T touch the turtles! We enjoyed this location so much we stayed the majority of our vacation in place. You can walk to the store and local farmer’s market. We enjoyed the quiet serenity of this magical location. I can’t wait to come back again and again!

Pay attention to these backyard photos! It was every bit of what is shown! We loved stepping right out of the unit to enjoy sunset, snorkeling and seeing the turtles. We loved the location of this unit on the property for privacy as well. Thank you too for the beach towels and beach gear!
We closed the screen door at night which made for the living room where our son slept to be warmest. Another more powerful portable fan in that room would be aces. The manager offered to refund us to purchase one, so Amy was helpful there, but given the length of our trip, we didn’t see that thru. The master was much better cooled with open windows at night.
Overall, it’s a great location for enjoying Kapalua down to Lahaina. Everyone staying at Pikake was so nice and Amy, the manager, was super accommodating and responsive! Highly recommend!

This is quite a hidden gem. Our family had an amazing time swimming and seeing turtles everyday right in the ocean in front of us. The sunsets were amazing every night with the concha shell blowing that the kids enjoyed. The only dislike was with having the windows open-you can hear the loud street traffic and neighbors at the complex next door! Great place tho! Thanks for sharing this with us for our vacation.

The location of this condo couldn’t have been better for our family. The small community of Honokowai was quaint with smaller restaurants and markets. It felt tucked away from the crowds of Kaanapali but was only a 10 minute drive to Whalers Village, and about a 15 minute drive to Lahaina town and Honolua Bay (such good snorkeling- go early, don’t let the crowds/parking scare you it truly was an experience). The beach in front of the property is small but it’s perfect for swimming and snorkeling. We only went to another beach once because we had everything we needed within steps of the back door. Turtles arrived everyday at and around high tide to feast on the reefs. Coffee on the Lanai every morning was my favorite activity along with laying out on the loungers. The condo itself was nice. It was really hard to keep sand out of the condo despite cleaning your feet before going in. The rug outside needed to be swept after a day or so of being there. If you don’t like the gritty feel of sand on your feet you’ll likely find yourself sweeping multiple times a day. At sundown all the neighbors blew on their conch shells and that was a fun nightly tradition. This condo has three so each kiddo had their own. Overall such a great vacation for the entire family. We can’t wait to come back to the Pikake… many Mahalos for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

This was our fifth trip to Maui and our fifth stay at this great condo. Having stayed at countless places all over the planet, this vacation home remains at the top of the list. What's not to love about the location, views, patio, lawn, beach, waves, sun, and surf? Nothing! The condo is always clean, and has all the amenities we need on a trip to this beautiful island. And Amy is a great host. We love this place and cannot wait to visit again in 2024!

This place is an absolute gem. Main floor, you walk out on your grassy lawn and there is the beach! We saw an abundance of wildlife, turtles every day stunning themselves on our beach, whales, stingray, fishies, salamanders, and even a sandbar shark! The place had every single thing you could want for. Was clean and comfy. We will be back! Amy was an amazing host, super responsive and helpful.

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks at this property. The most restful vacation ever for us. The ocean is literally at your doorstep and you don’t really need to go anywhere but for a swim or a nap! Groceries within walking distance once you do a main shop. Easy access to the shopping centres by bus if you decide not to rent a car. The weather was great and the condo had books to read when we ran out. Any was a great host and answered us quickly when a question came up. The perfect spot for what we all look for in a vacation in beautiful Hawaii.

A6 was such an incredible place to spend our first vacation in Hawaii. We enjoyed it very much. Close to everything, perfect size, great yard to hand out on. Plus the beach is right there! 10/10 would recommend! We absolutely plan to come back.

The condo was what we expected as far as location. Thank goodness we didn't bring our mother, it would have been very crowded for 3 people. It was great for 2.
I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. For the price we paid for the cleaning fee it definitely should have been cleaner. The dishes, silverware and appliances were all dirty. The floor really needed a better scrubbing. Believe me I'm not a clean freak. I think the owner/manager should either change the cleaning service or do an inspection.
I know that September can be very hot,and it was . No wind and very little rain. We used every fan we could find. But again they were filthy and old. It's sad that a simple thing like a good fan would have made our hot evenings a little more enjoyable.
Hopefully the next set of guests won't have to be in a construction zone. The condo next to us was under remodel the whole time we where there.
On a high note these things were overlooked at times because of the location. Swimming with turtles, beautiful sunsets and lenai . Pikake is a wonderful location hopefully you will address some of the problems as it's an easy fix.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was exactly as described and well suited for our family of five. The grassy area out front was perfect to roll out to. We did wish for a bigger beach, but there is some sand at low tides and beaches nearby. We really like the funky area of Honokowai. It's not resort-y and has some excellent local eats and stores. It's also close enough to Whalers Village, Lahaina, and the north area up to Honolua that part-day trips are easy to make.
AC might be nice, but the fans worked for us. It's a safe property (saw someone who left their trunk open with golf clubs overnight) and there's a great local vibe to enjoy Maui.

Within minutes of arriving we spotted sea turtles from the lanai - what a welcome! Super well appointed kitchen, everything you could need. So much in walking distance - coffee, stores, shops.

Imagine waking up to the Pacific Ocean only 20 feet from your sliding back door. Coffee, tropical fruit and coffee cake with the sound of waves, instead of news. Perfection.

Amy’s condo is perfect for a small family or two couples. The location was absolutely amazing with a small private beach just steps from the terrace - prepare for turtles and beautiful sunsets on a daily basis. Regarding the condo - it has everything you need for a beach day or preparing some food for a day trip. The only downside is that the walls are pretty thin. You might hear the upstairs neighbors if you’re unlucky (the neighboring units seem to be rented out as well) but during our trip we had no issues at all - most neighbors were very quiet and respectful.
Definitely will be looking to book this one in the future!!

We had a wonderful 2 week stay in this oceanfront condo. Small complex within walking distance to groceries and coffee shops. Turtles swimming by every day, good snorkeling and beautiful sunsets.

The property location was perfect! It was close to the park, coffee, and the Farmer's Market, our favorite little market. The Fish Market was just down the street which is the best place for fresh fish. A must do!
Within feet of the condo is a small beach which was wonderful. You can snorkel and play in the waves every day. Daily, two to three turtles were on the rocks and reef in the water so you will never miss a day without seeing sea turtles.
The condo was great for our family and very comfy with all our needs. A truly great place to stay! We will be returning for sure.

When it says 'oceanfront' it is literally steps from the beach. We so enjoyed the whole time there in an updated open concept living arrangement. Whales and turtles were abundant. The place was very well equipped with everything needed for cooking, which we did a lot using the grill several times. We met some very nice people who were willing to blow the conch at sunset with us.

All in all, it was terrific. Can’t beat the location or the setting. Worked perfectly for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers each having their own bed. Only a few minor issues:
Checkin time was supposed to be 3. We arrived at 3:40 and the cleaners were still in the unit and asked if we could come back at 4.
No electricity in the bathroom of the master bedroom.
The fan in the master bedroom made a loud squeaking noise, so had to turn it off and then it got a bit warm to sleep.
A few minor issues with the beach umbrella and the cooler being broken, but those are minor and all in all, it was wonderful!

Wonderful rental! Location is close to everything and the view is outstanding. There was a nice breeze to keep it cool so we were very comfortable. There is some noise from the road nearby but it quiets down at night. The adjacent hotel also had a game room that is right outside the master bedroom which was a little annoying but turning the fan on drowns out the noise. There where a couple minor issues with a kitchen sink faucet that broke while we were there, the bathroom light electrical is finicky, and the screen door was blown out but we told the manager we didn't need them fixed during our stay. Amy always responded to my inquiries promptly and professionally. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

We had a wonderful time! The condo has everything you’ll need. The kitchen is well stocked with all the right tools for cooking your favorite meals and smoothies. Our boys loved using the boogie boards and fins. We saw rainbows and moonbows, whales, dolphins, and turtles. Can’t beat the view and morning coffee just steps from the kitchen! We enjoyed the place very much. The location is great and could not ask for a better view. Very clean and everything you need to enjoy your stay. We are used to air conditioning but nights are comfortable enough. We were not there much in the day anyway. Overall I would give our experience a 10.

There are a lot of things I could say about this property: it was clean and organized, comfortably slept our family of five, had updated bathrooms and kitchen, and communication with Amy was easy. But the real star of this property is the location. We watched the sunset from the patio every night and had so much fun snorkeling with the sea turtles right outside our door. We appreciated that Amy provided snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and more to make our trip easier and so much fun. The ocean breeze kept the unit comfortable even in August. Definitely a trip of a lifetime!

The condo stay was exactly what we needed! Each morning we opened the slider to see the amazing view and hear the ocean waves, steps from the sand. My son and I went snorkeling and hung out with two turtles right in front of the condo. Having the markets and coffee shop within walking distance made it feel like home. My wife and I stayed her for 10 days with our kids, ages 15 and 6. It was absolutely perfect. Spotless when we arrived, and it had everything we needed, and then some. Locations is fantastic - close to all the wonderful things in West Maui, including a grocery store and farmers market. The small size of the building (12 units) we chose on purpose, as it was nice and quiet both day and night. Parking was easy! On site laundry was nice for our extended stay. Outdoor gas grill was handy so we didn't have to break the bank on restaurants every night. Kids loved the backyard - meaning the beach and ocean right out our backdoor. The nightly sunsets are killer. My little boy learned quickly how to blow the conch shell so he could participate in the nightly ceremony. The place was plenty private - but we did also socialize with our neighbors and had a wonderful experience. Falling asleep to the ocean at your backdoor is magical. We will absolutely stay here again. We really had zero issues. If I had to nitpick, I was surprised by the number of burned out or missing lightbulbs that I replaced when we arrived (five) - though all but the candelabra bulbs were supplied in the closet. And I had to reset the modem/wifi regularly for some reason. But those complaints are seriously reaching! We used our laptop on the lounge in the backyard while enjoying the view and sounds of the ocean. Never had to step away from paradise to put out little fires at work! Also, check in and check out procedures were ridiculously simple. We could not ask for anything more. Mahalo for sharing your lovely home with us.

We have not been to Maui in 22 years. We decided to rent a condo instead of going to a resort. We loved this place! We could walk out and enjoy the ocean from our back yard. We swam with sea turtles daily. The neighbors have a conch blowing tradition nightly at sunset which was fun. We snorkeled every day. There are is a lot to do on this island. A few draw backs but worth the sacrifice: Street behind condo noisy and having no AC you have to keep the windows open to be comfortable. Therefore my husband and I slept in the smaller room where it was quieter.
Condo provided everything we needed. Washer/dryer available. Beach towels have to be rented however so we brought our own. The maintenance crew "Chasing Rainbows" was great when we needed anything. They even brought us an extra fan.

This place was incredible! The view is breathtaking and I didn't find many other places with beach access directly in front of the home as this has. The condo unit is small enough that it has a great community, with a nightly ritual at sunset that we found sweet and inclusive and a great way to end a day of snorkeling and swimming. The home has been recently remodeled and is decorated beautifully with high end appliances and lovely hawaiian artwork and linens.
There is great poke nearby and a supermarket store just down the street which comes in handy.
Sea Turtles visited nightly right outside our door!!
The Pikake truly gave us one of the most memorable experiences on vacation!

We absolutely loved your condo. The location is perfect with the market, coffee shop, surf shop and gift shop all within walking distance. The Fish Market, taco place and grocery all just down the road. The little beach is perfect for snorkeling, paddle boarding or just hanging out in the water. Sunsets are awesome. Loved the conch shell horn blowing at sunset. Our family starting planning our day so we could be back home for sunset! The condo was just as depicted. Very well furnished. Everything is new and modern. Kitchen well-stocked. Loved having beach gear, chairs, etc. to use as well. Would definitely return! In fact, I wish we were still there!!

Beautiful view, we saw whales breaching from the condo our first morning, and I was blown away! Well stocked kitchen. The beach was a little rocky and small during high tide, but that didn't stop our younger kids from playing in the sand and running in the surf. It was great to have a beach in the backyard so my older children could play while my youngest napped. There is also a larger, calmer beach with a playground just a few steps away from the condo at Honokowai beach park. Farmers market and Bad Ass coffee shop are across the street from beach park and steps away from the condo.

I went to Maui in Feb to relax and whale watch. This condo was perfect for that. It was amazing sitting on the lanai, enjoying our breakfast with an unobstructed view of the water, and watching the whales. We could not keep track of how many whales we saw during our stay. Staying on the ground floor gave us an opportunity to meet other guest that stay at Pikake on a regular basis. They shared tips of their favorite restaurants and happy hours. The condo was well equipped including the kitchen, beach activities, DVD's and books. It does not have a pool or hot tub, but that was not a problem with us.

I LOVED this condo! Exactly like the pictures posted on the website. I was with my daughter and grandkids ages 10 and 12, it was perfect for us. The view when you first come in the door is spectacular, straight through to the ocean. Super clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, cups, utensils, everything you need for whatever you want to make for a meal. There's also some snorkeling equipment in a hall closet. The beach is perfect for newer snorklers and boogie boarders, nice surf. Chase n' Rainbows Management is great to work with. Rather than deal with the bulkiness of packing beach towels, we rented some from the company. At $2 per huge towel for our entire stay of 10 days, it was well worth it. Slappy Cakes Restaurant just up on the corner from the condo is a fun place for breakfast, you make your own pancakes at the table. Maui Surfboards, located on the highway not far from Slappy Cakes is a good place to rent surfboards and they can sign you up for surfing lessons. All in all, just a fabulous vacation! Would, and have, recommend Pikake A6 to anyone!

Our family had the most wonderful holiday at the Pikake! The location is great, easy walking distance to the ABC store, Farmers market, and Organic grocery store are right across the street, and a supermarket a short drive, but still walking distance just down the road. And being on the ground floor is unbeatable! We were rarely in the condo, because it was so easy to be outside.
Also the beach was wonderful, and our two year old loved the sand toys that were in the closet! The condo was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking tools. Most of all, the condo was exactly what we expected. It was so nice to come in, put our bags down, look out the lanai window, and see the view just like in the pics on the website! But so much more awesome!!
Thanks for everything, and I am sure we will try book this condo again in the future.
