The unit is just what you need, great location, clean, enough room for 4 and snorkeling right on your doorstep, literally!
Saw turtles every day, and swam at the beautiful little beach, not crowded and ocean is just A+ at Kuleana.
Walk to Sushi, BBQ, small stores, one morning we walked to Napili! ... will definitely stay again.....Mahalo !!

What a terrific spot in paradise. This unit is on the top floor with a spectacular water view, perfect for whale watching season, and gorgeous Hawaiian sunsets. This is an older smaller resort that has beautiful, meticulous grounds, a clean heated pool, and is locateda right at the shoreline. I saw an amazing variety of fish snorkeling on our beach, and swam with turtles. We were close to Lahaina, and Kapalua, only 40 minutes from the airport. We had quick access to numerous beaches for snorkeling, but I preferred ours, and boogie boarding. Fleming beach has gorgeous waves and lifeguards. We had a couple of small issues with the condo and the owner was in contact with us quickly and took care of them. Although the unit is older, the owner has updated the kitchen and bathroom for convenience and comfort. The unit also has a private entrance, and is on the end of a building. When not out exploring the island, we spent time on the lanai. It only shares one side with another unit so there is a lot of light and open space on it, but also cover from the sun. At this part of the island, the road is close to the shore, so there is road noise. For us the convenient location, view, turtles and beach access made this a non issue. There was less noise at night, and air conditioners in the loft and bedroom lent white noise to mask road sounds when sleeping. The cleaning fee seemed high, which may have been for Covid cleaning. We would stay at Kuleana 206 again and highly recommend it.

Super easy to get to beach, beautiful views and no issues anywhere with the condo. We cooked most meals in and had all the dishes and cutlery we needed. Plenty of space for the four of us. Comfy beds and clean. We never needed any maintenance the property was just as described. Quiet complex. It was awesome!

The unit was conveniently located to nearby markets and beaches. The unit is located on the upper level providing great views, but be prepared to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the unit. Keep in mind the 2nd bedroom is located upstairs in the loft, so that means more steps to climb. This was not an issue for my husband and myself as we are pretty fit. But it could be an issue with someone not as fit or who has breathing issues.
The pictures and description were well represented. The unit was clean and spacious. The lanai offered great ocean views. We were able to watch whales during whale season in January.
The parking lot is by permit only and the spaces are narrow. Unfortunately, some drivers don't stay in the lines, making it difficult to fit into the designated space. The property management company does survey the property at night ensuring permits are hung in each vehicle and parked within the lines.
The unit has window air-conditioning units in each bedroom that cool the rooms and unit sufficiently. However, since the windows are louvered and not paned, the outdoor and street noise can be heard throughout the night. The upside is you get to hear the birds chirp when the sunrises in the morning.
There is a storage closet on the lanai filled with beach chairs, boogie boards and a variety of beach toys/supplies. The chairs were a pleasant surprise. This was much appreciated.
Also, the laundry in not located in the unit. There are 2 coin-operated washers and dryers located in the same building on the street level. The space was clean and can only be entered with the provided key. There is also a vending machine with laundry soap and dryer sheets.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.

We found the condo exactly as described. Great view, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. The grounds around the complex are well maintained along with the swimming pool. We enjoyed both beaches everyday and saw turtles all of the time. On the last morning my wife and daughter saw a seal cruising through. The resort has a very relaxing atmosphere and we found it close to shopping and restaurants.
The only negative was the road noise when the main door was left open. It's not to far off of Front St. We spent a lot of time at the pool/beach and relaxing on the lanai, so the road noise was tolerable. Thank you Calvyn for a great week!!

This condo, with its unparalleled views, is an absolute gem. We spent many mornings and evenings on the patio eating our meals, playing cards and watching whales breach. There were four sea turtles on the beach to greet us when we arrived. The bedrooms (one loft) were spacious, The beds were cozy, the downstairs bathroom was very large. (the upstairs bathroom was much smaller, but very adequate. Both were nicely remodeled. ) The back bedroom was noisy, though, but we traveled with a sound machine which drowned out a lot of the traffic noise. The use of mirrors made the condo seem twice as big, we four adults spent 2 weeks without ever feeling crowded. The kitchen was older, but had everything we needed to keep us fed and happy. The wifi was signal was strong. (The electronics were crazy though! No fewer than eight devices, six remotes-it took us a half hour to figure out how to turn things on and watch one program. which is ok! We only wanted to watch one!) Kuleana resort was very well kept, the pool clean and warm, the grounds tidy. The groundskeeper even climbed to our 3rd story balcony to make sure the lanai drains weren't plugged after a storm. Bring your binoculars, and be prepared for a heavenly stay at this lovely unit.

"The condo had a wonderful view and we were a one minute walk from the beach. The condo was nice and clean. The pool was nicely kept up. The condo had some float toys, boogie boards and other water items for beach play. I recommend this condo because it is peaceful and lots of fun for kids."
That was written by my twelve year-old daughter. Calvyn gave us excellent directions for arrival and the rest of our stay was peaceful and enjoyable. We stayed at the resort's beaches most of the time we were at the condo, because there was so much to see right there. The second day we were there, we walked 500 feet down the beach and came upon 15 green sea turtles out on the beach. We swam with turtles and snorkeled with fish and played in the sand.
The other days, this condo was the perfect launch site for any adventure. We drove to the blowhole, Julia's banana bread stand and spent many evenings minutes away in Lahaina. Having never been to Maui before, I was worried about the location not be central enough for what we wanted to do. While we drove all over the island (i.e. Hana, Haleakala volcano, aquarium) we loved coming back to this condo every night.
The only downside is that the air conditioning units (one upstairs and one in the downstairs bedroom) were quite ineffective at cooling the condo. The downstairs bedroom cooled off nicely and that's where the kids stayed. We took naps in the afternoon when it was the warmest.
We will be back.
