Just a fantastic home and a great location. Walking distance to the beach, food, and activities. Parking is a true luxury. The home is very comfortable and the hosts do a tremendous job of communicating to make everything so easy. Just a Superhost. Nothing is lacking. Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

I love the location, right across from the beach. The pools are great! There is all the amenaties that you need. Its nicely upgraded. I like seeing the view of the ocean out the main balcony(its not a big view of the ocean but its so pretty). This is the third time staying at the Maui Banyan and I love Kehei, its not as crowded and family friendly. We will be back for sure!

We enjoyed our stay. Just as it was described. We used the pull out bed. It was a very comfortable mattress. The use of the foam pad was helpful for my husband's bad back.
The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils. Helpful to bring your own spices. We cooked most of our own meals.
Quiet and lovely surroundings. Beach walk was short. 4 chairs in the closet. Swimming pools were both nice. The pool area was a great place to grill, too.
If one of your biggest decisions on vacation is to go to the beach or the pool, between activities, this is the place for you and your crew. Thanks for the fabulous place to stay.

Perfect location - close to everything you need, the beach, stores, restaurants. Cherie was amazing to deal with - went well beyond the call of duty to accommodate us. Unit was well laid out for our family of five - master bedroom was very separate from the rest of the unit for privacy and lots of space for our three almost teenagers. Thank you so much for an amazing vacation!!

I would strongly recommend this VRBO property. 2 couples, 4 adults, were very comfortable. It was nice the bedrooms were not right next to each other and each bedroom had access to a lanai. Beds were comfortable!
Condo had everything we needed for any meal we made. The Maui Banyan is located within walking distance of some great restaurants. Having access to a shopping cart to get groceries upstairs was an added bonus.
We utilized the beach chairs and coolers everyday. It was great not to have to purchase them. There were other items to use as well, an umbrella, beach mat.
The owner Cherie was amazing to deal with. She responded to emails right away. I would highly recommend this VRBO. I look forward to booking here again.

A clean and tidy property, all appliances looked new, and worked well. There were plenty of cooking accessories to make stay-in meals easy to prepare. Kameole II beach is just across the street from the Maui Banyan, and seems to be the best of the three beaches according to locals and we agree, although any beach in the area is great. Four beach chairs, boogie board, 'noodles' and flippers (great for our 11 year old granddaughter), and plenty of good quality beach towels supplied by owner. All family members reported that the beds were very comfortable to sleep on, and we fitted a 3 inch foamy (supplied in a box in the unit) on top of the hide-a-bed for extra comfort. The owner/renter reserved parking space (under cover), was great for keeping our rental vehicle cool (outside temp 25 deg. C. plus every day - please convert to deg F. if you need to). The two swimming pools were used at various times, and the amenities (barbecues, eating areas etc), were always spotlessly clean and well maintained. A really enjoyable stay at a very well priced unit for us Canadians. I somehow managed to lock all of my family out of the unit one day, but the local management company were easy to contact, very helpful, and provided a new front door code straight away. Mahalo

First off, Cherie is absolutely wonderful!! She is excellent to communicate with. Right before my trip I had all the information I needed to access the property, which started my visit on such a positive and relaxing note.
The location of the condo is perfect. You will be right across the street from two of the most beautiful beaches on Maui
You will also be far - enough away from the road which I enjoy so you don't near any road traffic.
The condo itself outstanding! The layout of this two bed two bath place is incredibly set up.
Both bedroom and bathrooms are across from each other with the kitchen and living room in between. If you're traveling with a large family or another couple this gives everyone a little more privacy.
The local property manager also does an amazing job communicating with guests. The check on you fu ensure the process of accessing the condo went smoothly and are very friendly. I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in Kihei
to stay here. Quick side note there's store you can pick up little things you may have forgotten and a cinnamon bun/ coffee shop a quick walk away.

Enjoyed the unit’s proximity to beach and town. Parking was easy. Unit’s layout worked well for our family of four with use of the pullout sofa. Sliding door to bedroom was not operational—only issue. Master bedroom really nice size. A king size bed would be a nice upgrade. Would consider this unit again in future.

The Good
Excellent location across from Kam II, and in close walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants, and other local beaches.
Unit was clean.
Great double master bedroom layout.
Wall A/C units in both bedrooms and living room. Ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom.
Well stocked kitchen with lots of appliances, utensils and dishware.
Good people watching from the lanai.
Keyless door lock was convenient.
Two pools and spas with lots of chairs and bbq's for guests.
Snorkel equipment, boogie boards, beach towels and cooler were nice.
Nice to have Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV, DVD player.
The Drawbacks
Little bug invaders everywhere! Be sure to seal and store any opened foods.
Automatic ice maker was not hooked up. Would be nice to have ice ready on vacation
Something weird is going on with the electrical. The power outlets in the bedroom with pocket doors would only provide power from the top outlets/receptacles (bottom one's were dead). We had to go out and buy a power device to be able to charge all devices and turn bedside lights on.
Pocket doors on the 2nd bedroom don't provide much/any sound proofing, or much privacy.
Master bedroom A/C unit was problematic, and there was no ceiling fan in that room, or in the living room.
Couch and bed pillows are extremely worn and overdue to be updated.
2 in 1 shampoo provided is low quality. Plan to bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
Elevator was painfully slow. Be prepared for 3 flights of stairs or long waits.
Had to call front desk to get the pool code (not sure if we missed that somehow in the instructions).
Could only see the water from the lanai if standing.

We loved the place, it was a bit bigger than we expected, which was great for 2 couples and a toddler! The condo is in one of the buildings that's closer to the beach, and very close to the pool so we couldn't ask for a better location. Overall highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience. The condo was right across from the beach, had wonderful crosswalks to stop traffic and allow you to cross safely, restaurants and shops within walking distance, parking was wonderful since they had an assigned spot. No extra hidden resort fees or anything. The condo was very clean and spacious. It also had all of the amenities we needed and more!! Very relaxing experience. Highly recommend! Hoping to book again for next year!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is on the second floor and is easy to walk up to or take the elevator. It is fully furnished and the washer and dryer work well. The kitchen has most anything you might need although it was missing hand soap, tinfoil, cling wrap or plastic bags which would’ve been helpful to at least have a little to start with. We left what we bought so hopefully someone will do the same. The grills to cook on down by the pool are fantastic…we used them every night. Although the buildings are older the apartment was nicely redone. The beach is a quick walk as are some shops. Everyone we met while we were there was kind and helpful. Our family enjoyed our stay.

The rental process and communication with hostess was very good. If you require the newest in accommodations this might not be for you. But, if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay, then this is for you and a great location. We enjoyed our stay. Lovely beach right across the street was great and eateries within walking distance. There were beach chairs in condo provided by hostess which was nice. And various beach toys previous vacationers left. My only comment on beach toys (we did use a couple) was sand maybe not washed off. Nothing to do with hostess, just lack of consideration by previous vacationers.
We had a plumbing issue, sent message to Cherie, she immediately responded, and issue was resolved same day. Very much appreciated. Thank you for a great vacation!

Great updated condo right across from a beach and central to Kihei and Wailua. Condo is quiet, kitchen is very well equipped and closets had beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas etc for excursions. We loved that we could eat meals on the lanai and see the beach in one direction and the mountains in the other. Would definitely rent this property again.
