Condo is in prime location.
We found everything as described. You have everything what you need for a wonderful stay in Paradise.
Owner was very responsive. We had one minor topic and it was solved immediately.
Reception staff of resort is very helpful.
Location is great with a coffee right around the corner, food trucks with great local food just next and the beach right in front of the resort.

Had a week in Lahaina, HI booked for our 52nd anniversary and was on our way to the airport when we learned of the fires and that travel was being restricted to essential. We turned around and came home, and asked vrbo for a refund, but were told that the owner refused. Contacted vrbo for assistance, and they made good on the refund. Owner still upset about them coming to my rescue. VRBO + Owner -

The condo was central to all of the activities that we planned. This one bedroom was just right for my wife and I. Ray has it fully equipped with everything that you need. It was our home away from home as my wife likes to say.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Papakea. The unit was as described but nothing could describe the view!! It was amazing. The view of Lanai, the pool, putting greens, shuffle board and the gorgeous ocean!!
The morning sun and a nice shady afternoon/evening made the patio so comfortable! All the comforts of home and the convenience of having laundry in our unit made our stay so enjoyable. Our host was so responsive and the staff at Papakea were so friendly! Thank you for giving us a great “home base” for all our adventures.
PS-bring your snorkel gear-so much to see in the beach area of the resort and within a few minutes drive.

4.5/5 stars - Had a wonderful stay in a great location. The Condo was great and met our needs. We enjoyed coffee/breakfast on the lanai, even saw a whale during one of our breakfasts. The resort is very well maintained with access to one of the best beaches in Maui.
I would have given 5/5 but there were a couple of maintenance issues that the owner was able to address in a timely manner, and the beach towels could use upgrading/replacing.

I loved everything about this property and the unit we rented. Everything from booking to check in was seamless and the owner was excellent to deal with.
The grounds on this resort are immaculate and the unit has everything you may need. I would definitely stay here again while in Maui

Property: perfect ocean front location, beautiful grounds and several amenities -including pools, jacuzzi, pickle ball, mini golf, shuffle board etc. Minutes away from the beaches and just a 10 min drive to the downtown Lahaina. They also have lots of activities like group yoga, lei making etc.
Condo: The condo itself was near perfect -the balcony had lovely expansive ocean view and also of the entire property making it very lively and cheerful watching kids run around, people enjoying the golf or strolling etc.
Condo was very clean and fully equipped including but not limited to a full kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler etc. Couple of things that got missed in error were immediately provided to us.
Communication with the owner was also very smooth.
The only reason to take away one star was the sofa bed. It was one of the most uncomfortable bed ever. We’ve used many sofa beds and while they aren’t true beds, many have been fairly comfortable but this one was like a cradle. We understand it was not meant for adults but highly recommend upgrading it to a better one for future guests’ comfort.
All in all we loved it and would definitely stay here next time we are in Maui.

We decided to change things up for our yearly visit. We booked at Papakea E310. What a pleasant surprise! We really enjoyed the unit. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The lanai gets the morning sun and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. We really felt at home during our extended stay. The owner was such a pleasure to work with. The grounds were well maintained and stunning! We are looking forward to renting this property again. Thank you Ray!

Over all, the stay was great. Beautiful window view, nice pools, grounds well kept. The inside of the condo was ok, little outdated, but ok. The window air-conditioner was not powerful enough to keep the bedroom cool and comfortable at night. It was hot. We tried to keep the windows opened, but it didn't help much. No beach area, but nice beaches within short drive. Over-all, we enjoyed our stay.

There isn’t much to say except it was great. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the property, the condo, and the surrounding neighborhood. It’s a quiet property and well maintained. Beachfront, although the beach isn’t the greatest…you can walk to other beaches or a 10 minute drive to Napili, DT Fleming, or Kapalua beach.
The condo is well stocked although some of the pans could be updated. It’s got everything you need.
Ray was a great host with wonderful instructions about everything from getting to the condo, restaurants, activities, etc.
You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy.

All kitchen necessities to make nice meals.
They provide beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. All the fixings to a perfect beach day.There is only one air conditioning unit though so floor fans to get air to the back room are a must- that being said if you’re using the fold out couch you’ll want to request extra EXTRA bedding as you have to keep the air running to cool the house. They only provide a set of sheets and one little blanket, the kids were freezing! we kinda had to beg for more blankets as they asked if it was even cold in July, instead of just providing some. When they did bring it they brought one small one again. 4 people sleeping in this room and they provided two blankets you’d use for couch throws. They weren’t the most accommodating in that aspect but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our trip and this beautiful resort!

This property has the most amazing view from the balcony. It overlooks the ponds with koi fish, a putting green , swimming pool which is beautifully landscaped and of course the ocean! Everything you need is within walking distance. A wonderful place to stay!!

The view and experience was better than the description. We had an Amazing time. Normally we spend all of our time outside while on vacation and only use the hotel/home to sleep. This place was so nice, we actually spent more time in the condo. We enjoyed eating on the patio and watching/listening to the ponds and the ocean. Would definitely come and stay here again. Very happy!

We stayed in this ocean front condo for 8 days. We enjoyed having coffee on the balcony looking at the pool and ocean every morning, before our daily adventures. We walked around the property every morning very safe and welcoming. Location was great! We felt like we were home, clean and had all supplies needed.
Everyone on property was friendly. We traveled during COVID safety measures were in place on property to make us feel safe. Maui as a whole takes precautions seriously. Highly recommend this property can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great trip to this unit on our recent trip. The condo was very clean upon arrival. We had an issue with figuring out the TV and Ray (owner) was quick to respond. The grounds at the Papakea are BEAUTIFUL, super well kept and make you feel like you are in paradise!
The condo was well equipped with everything you need while you are away, except for laundry detergent (which I wouldn't expect them to supply). We brought our own - and left what we didn't use.
Most of the amenities at the Papakea are open, but one of the pools closed due to low occupancy - which of course has nothing to do with this rental, but wanted to mention it so that people are aware when booking that this is a possibility. It was really no big deal, plenty of space at one pool.
Overall it was a wonderful time away, we will for sure be back! Thank you Ray for your hospitality.

Beautiful, nicely remodeled condo at Papakea, great views and super clean. Kitchen well stocked and nice supplies for beach and pool. Papakea is well-manicured resort with great views and pool, walking distance to great food and beaches. Only thing holding me back from a perfect 5 star review: king mattress was not comfortable for us, kind of lumpy and sloped to edges of bed. Other reviews seem to like it; maybe we’re just used to our foam mattress back home, flat and uniform cushioning. Otherwise, excellent spot. Thanks Papakea!

This is a really great one bedroom apartment with all of the amenities that you might want. Washer dryer, A/C, full kitchen and a separate bedroom was a must for me, and this condo delivered. The 3rd floor is easily accessible via the stairs or an elevator, and delivers stunning ocean views from the patio. The grounds are extremely well kept, and the front desk is friendly, and full of the Aloha spirit. The owner was particularly helpful, kind and communicative. I will definitely stay here again!

it's a very nice resort. But it is not operational. Only one pool is open and its only open from 11:30 till 6:30. The grills are located in pool area so grills are also open from 1130 till 6:30. Can't play catch with kids. Can't have noodles or through a football in pool. No activities on resort. Until operational stay some where else. Kaanapali shores, Kaanapali diamond resort are fully operational with poo and grills time open from 8 a.m till 9 p.m. and you can play catch and have noodles in pool. Its almost like a low security prison facility. I still don't know why I paid a resort fee when you only get a 6 hour window for pool. Putting greens are closed no activity person. 3 other couples finished there stay else where including us. Good luck .

We had a great 2 weeks; very nice condo. It was very well supplied with just about everything you’d want or need... utensils, cookware, glassware, spices, towels ( including beach towels,) boogie boards, golf putters and a beautiful view from the lanai overlooking the pool, putting green, ponds and a nice view of the ocean! Lots of whales!
