The condo was well laid out to accommodate all six, when my daughters walked in the door they replied with how beautiful! A perfect way to start their vacation. My friends, if you are going to the Big Island, we highly recommend this location. The hosts are truly thoughtful, kind and so attentive. They provided fantastic dining options and great suggestions of things to see and opportunities to learn more of the culture of this extraordinary island.
The unit itself is very large and candidly, the pictures just do not do it justice. (Although these thoughtful hosts did a great job) you’ll just have to feel the happy energy here to understand what I mean. The rooms are large and well equipped. The kitchen is a gourmet chef‘s dream come true, and they even ensured that there are so many different spices and oils to use for cooking, not to mention a fantastic grill that my husband utilized quite often. The bathrooms are all large and fully equipped with blow dryer’s straighteners, lit magnifying mirror and the best shampoo/conditioners /soaps that smelled like coconuts, I loved it!
We were so impressed and everything was in its place, everything you could think of that you would want for a brilliant and super fantastic trip, in Hawaii was right in the garage. It had everything from different size umbrellas for the beach to beach mats/snorkel gear/boogie boards, you name it, it was there for you to utilize. Also, they have this fantastic arctic cooler that my goodness all I had to do was put one frozen square in it, and it kept everything very cold the whole day, and there was plenty of room for drinks/snacks and anything you can think of you would take during the day as you go on your mini adventures around the island.
The beds are super comfy and the linens are very soft and a high thread count so you feel like you’re just sleeping on a cloud, which is ever a delight when you’re traveling.
Another really neat feature to this unit is that it has its own private club that has a three tiered pool that makes you feel like you’re in your own private pool but it’s just a massive pool at different elevations, and just adjacent to it is a fantastic bar with a wonderful restaurant and you’re overlooking the ocean. It’s just beautiful scenery all around you. Not to mention fantastic outdoor gym, so to speak, weights, and cardio equipment with the sliding doors open so you get that nice cool ocean breeze as you’re working out, it’s such a delight.
I promise the minute you walk in you feel like you’re home, and in the best and most fantastic way.

Our family of 5 adults and 16 month old grandson spent 10 glorious days at this beautiful paradise away from home. Traveling with a toddler we had a lot of questions prior to our trip and Richard was extremely responsive and helpful. His team responded immediately when we discovered the infant pack 'n play was missing from our rental and brought us one quickly.
The views and close proximity to the pool are 2 of the property highlights. This specific unit has 1 of the best views of the entire complex. With our binoculars we were able to see whales frolicking in the ocean. The master bedroom deck provides a glorious morning coffee retreat overlooking the golf course and ocean.
We would definetly stay here again. If you are looking to have a family getaway on the Island of Hawaii, we highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay at this wonderful unit. Their are direct views of the ocean, golf course and the gorgeous sunsets from the lanai. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our requests. The two lanais were wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked with almost everything you would need. The restaurant & bar at the pool is a nice touch. Perfect for a working couple to up to six people.

The condo was perfect for my family while we stayed on the Big Island. It was very clean, well maintained, and had a very nicely stocked kitchen. It had a very nice view of the ocean and was a 2 minute walk from the Ocean Club (fitness center, pool). The entire area was very safe and the grounds around the property were also kept immaculate. We definately would recommend this property to people with families.

One of the best things you can hear from your wife after you arrive at the lodging you have booked, is that it is much better than she anticipated and perfect for us. Indeed we chose it because it was near the pool that our teens wanted to hang out at and had a restaurant right beside it where we could get what turned out to be fantastic food and drink whenever we wanted, all with the ocean laid out at our feet. We made sure the snorkel equipment, beach mats and boogie boards got used but mostly enjoyed being in a great spot to explore by foot the local area or by car to get everywhere on the island.

This one sets a high bar! Had a special week with my mom, sister, niece and nephew at this gorgeous immaculate home. Even before we arrived, Richard provided helpful info including a sample itinerary that gave us lots of great places to eat, sightsee and play. Arrival was easy and walking in the front door was Wow. Beautifully designed and furnished, CLEAN, and gorgeous views. Upstairs lanai loungers were a favorite. Nice space to hang out together and enough room for everyone to have quiet down time too. Kitchen well stocked with lovely dish sets. We had one question on our first morning, Richard responded with a solution literally in 4 mins. The pool was stunning and great place to hang out, the staff at clubhouse / bar were delightful. Thank you so much, Richard! We will definitely be back!

Richard's place in Hali'i Kai was the perfect spot for my family to stay during our visit to the Big Island. The location is great--just a short stroll to the pool and restaurant where the 2-year old in our party loved to splash and the adults enjoyed many pina coladas. The condo was clean and was well stocked with dishes, spices, towels, and all the various and sundry items you need when traveling with a little one (pack and play, high chair, Richard even purchased a baby gate to accommodate us). The garage was also loaded with everything we needed to enjoy a day at the beautiful nearby beaches (boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, beach umbrellas). And the lanais, with their glorious ocean views, were perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and reading a book in the afternoon. Richard responded quickly to all our questions and was the perfect host. Highly recommend.

My family of four spent a few nights here at the end of our trip to the Big Island. This place is well stocked with everything you need (for the kitchen or the beach), comfortable, and clean. The views are even better in person, especially from the master lanai. I could have spent all day at the pool watching the whales off shore, this was the perfect place to be for sightings. The location is also excellent with it's proximity to shops, restaurants, and amazing beaches. Communication from Richard was great, he sent a sample itinerary when we first booked, and checked in upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. We hope to be back!

Our stay was fantastic! Great location, well equipped condo, pretty views. We enjoyed the Hali’i Kai pool, restaurant (without a doubt the best pork nachos I’ve ever eaten!), and open air work out cabana with incredible views overlooking the ocean. I even witnessed a whale breach while working out on the elliptical! Interestingly, because of Covid, many of the restaurants were not open, or closed early because of staffing issues. I think that’s a problem that is found everywhere these days, unfortunately.

We had an incredible time at Hali'i Kai! Our expectations were far exceeded by the unit (16G). When you base your decision on photos and descriptions, you never know what you'll get, but this unit has views that the photos don't do justice to. During our stay, we had access to all of the amenities we needed. Richard was a pleasure to work with; he was communicative and quick to respond when we had a question about the WiFi.
The resort restaurant served surprisingly good food, but service was extremely slow due to a staff shortage. Despite the fact that the service was slow, they were extremely kind and patient. The pool was fantastic, despite being quite crowded all day, and was well worth the great views and whale sightings. When we return, we will undoubtedly stay here again.

This unit was great for a multi-gen family vacation; the two-story layout meant there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The location of this unit in the complex was great, especially with a toddler - it was a quick walk to the pool (and an easy walk back if we forgot something!). We loved the views from both lanais - the whales put on a wonderful show by day, and by night we enjoyed wine and cocktails with the sunset.

The only negative comment I have is since I am partially disabled, the property description did not explain that this particular condo was not situated on ground level. Had we known that, we would have chosen an alternate location.

We spent a week on Hawaii with our three teens. The property was a great mix of the luxurious and practical. The property was better than the online pictures represent. After we checked out we had an issue with some medicine that we left, and Richard was very accommodating and helping us recover what we had left behind. The Big lsland is our favorite. We enjoyed unit 16G very much. It was luxurious but comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are vey spacious and roomy. Its just a great get away home to relax and enjoy family bonding. There was one thing that impressed us all, and that was the spice rack in the kitchen. Very elegant but simple. The Siglers definitely would return one day.

My wife and our two grown sons (19 and 23) just completed our stay at Hali'i Kai 16G. We thoroughly enjoyed the condo and the entire resort!! It was wonderful having room for everyone to gather (with GREAT views from both Lanai's), and our boys still had their own private rooms for sleeping, and even their own bathrooms! The condo was well stocked with plenty of dishes, towels, dishwasher soap, and other necessities such as a Keurig, microwave, gas grill on the Lanai, They even had a wonderful spice rack stocked with very interesting spices! Also the "toy closet" had plenty of recreational equipment such as tennis rackets, basketball, etc. We used the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler the most...pretty much daily on our ventures out to various beaches, etc. As others have said be sure to rent a car, as it takes 30 minutes to get everywhere (but the views are amazing)!! Richard was very responsive to our questions and either texted answers back immediately or phoned. We highly recommend this unit for your family vacay if you need room to breathe and want some awesome diggs with beautiful views of the Pacific ocean!!

The condo is in a wonderful location within Hali'i Kai, very close to the pool and the golf course. It comes equipped with everything you need to make your stay pleasant. If you like to cook the kitchen has everything you will need and there is a grill on the lanai for making your favorite BBQ's. The mattresses were high quality, a nice plus as many vacation rentals do not, we all slept well. Richard was very helpful with all of our questions and was either available by phone or returned our phone calls in short order. We were very lucky to have stayed here for a month! We have stayed in many VRBO rentals, this is the nicest condo so far! Thank you!

We rented this beautiful condo for 8 nights to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Our two daughters and their spouses joined us. It was everything described and more! It is a perfect location , the condo is clean, quiet, and beautifull with views of the ocean . It is close to the ocean front pool where they have a great happy hour. It was a easy drive to great beaches and it sits on a beautiful beach golf course. The owner Richard was so helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend this rental definitely hope to return.

Richard and Laura went above and beyond to make sure our 50th anniversary vacation and celebration was perfect ! The condo is sparkling clean, decorated very tastefully with thought to anything and everything we could have wanted or needed. The ocean and golf views were so beautiful it was difficult to leave the balcony or lanai. We spent 8 night, joined by our two daughters and their spouses. We had such a wonderful stay at your suite, the comforts of home while visiting Hawaii...
Your home is as described, luxurious, comfortable, specious, and the most beautiful view from both lanais.
The kitchen was fully stocked with items one would need to prepare lovely meals. The bbq was our main cooking tool though. Very convenient having it right on the main floor lanai. We didn't have to leave the suite to bbq.
The beds were all comfortable and the linens provided were of above standard quality.
The living room is set up in a way everyone can sit comfortably together at the end of a full day of exploring... Even though we barely watched any tv, it was nice to have the option to watch a movie on a lazy evening.
The pool which is right by the ocean, is a minute walk away from the suite so the location of the suite is great!
We had no issues at all during our stay.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay at 16G!!! We would highly recommend this to friends and family and will come back again on our next trip tp Hawaii.

My family and I stayed in this unit for two weeks (February / March) of this year. We have only positive things to say. The pictures definitely reflect the luxurious decor of this high end condo. The photos actually do not do justice to the view you have of the ocean. From the top floor of this unit, the ocean view is spectacular and we enjoyed many sunsets from the lanai. We loved having the two story unit as we were traveling with another couple. All bedrooms and bathrooms are equally outfitted with luxurious linens. Having two lanais was great as everyone was able to enjoy some quiet time to themselves. Since we were traveling as a group, we stocked up on groceries at Costco for the week. We made many of our own meals and the kitchen was well equipped to handle our needs. We traveled with an infant and the unit was great as it was stocked with a high chair and pack and play. This was our second trip to Hali'i Kai and we certainly plan to return. We loved the location and view of this unit, not only did we have an ocean view, but we were in close walking distance to the pool. We especially love the pool at Hali'i Kai and we also enjoy the bar and grill. We love being able to enjoy lunch at the pool while watching the whales. There are many fantastic restaurants in the area, our two favorites for a sunset dinner are the Canoe House at Mauna Lani and Pahu i`a at the Four Seasons. When we did have questions for the owner, he was easy to reach and / or always responded in a timely manner. By the time our vacation was winding down, we were already discussing our plans to return in 2013! Thank you to the Richard for allowing us to enjoy this little piece of paradise. Your unit is absolutely spectacular and we look forward to returning!
