The apartment was fine for our short stay. Parking was good and it was within walking distance of all the shops along the water front. As it is located on the 10th floor of a 34 storey building, getting up and down was a bit challenging when two if the four elevators was out of service. A kettle would have been nice.

The property was amazing, good deal and location. Unfortunately, when checking in at the notified time, the code I was sent was the wrong code. The property manager did not return our phone and text messages for almost 3 hours at 11pm after wondering if we would have to sleep in the car that night. The rental was really quite nice though.

The location is great, being only a few blocks from a lot of popular places to visit, and most of the tour busses pick up and drop off at the hotel a block away. Everything was very clean and organized, and the management company is very responsive to any additional needs. We would definitely book another stay here if we visit again.

This property was perfect for our stay. Everything we needed and more. It is a convenient 2 blocks from the beach and the parking included with the rental was a definite plus. We did walk to the beach a couple of times but spent most of the time exploring the island and it was always nice to come back to a safe, secure home base. We recommend this rental.

The Waikiki Sunset is a great location- just a couple blocks off the beach. Views from the lanai included Diamond Head, city, and the ocean. So nice to have a home base while we spent the week exploring the island. Parking is especially nice! Friendly, easy to work with property manager, security, and front desk. The pool was a good feature when we wanted something quieter away from the beach (but personally, I like this end of Waikiki and the beaches here are already a little quieter). So many food options to choose from within easy walking distance. We’ve stayed in this building before and will definitely stay again! Mahalo!

Great place! It looks just like the pictures and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was an issue with getting the parking pass on time due to the previous guests taking it with them and the permit office being closed due to the holiday. The property manager was great and dropped off cash for us to pay for parking until he was able to get us the pass. He was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this place. The location is perfect, only 2 blocks from the beach, away from all the foot traffic in Waikiki. Close to all shops and restaurants. The rental unit was clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We hope to come back here again.

The unit was a bit smaller than expected, but definitely functional for a family of 4. Great property that is a short walk from the beach. The limited ocean view is amazing and you can see Diamond Head from the Lanai as well. Pleasantly surprised! Parking was easy, just be careful as it can be tight in places, but we had a Chevy Impala and it was perfect. Just take your time. Could the unit and building use a couple updates, sure but who cares. We spent minimal time there as the location put us so close to so much. Walking in the area is much better then navigating minimal street parking. The on-site parking was great though for when we traveled out of the range. Has some beach items there but they have seen better days. We just went to Longs drugs and got some great prices in some beach items. You won’t be sorry staying here. Byron the property manager was very responsive and the unit was very clean. Even though we did not use the outdoor common area we did check it out, It looks right at diamond head and was better then the pics on the listing. Would absolutely stay here again, wife and two teenagers agree.

We used the beach chairs found in the rental and the kitchen was well equipped. Laundry was close by and we appreciated that there was detergent available in the unit. Everything was an easy walk and we were quickly right at home. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony, the view was great. The pull out bed in the living room is less than ideal, the mattress is terrible and thin. That would be my only complaint. We had planned on utilizing this bed but it was so uncomfortable that we all just piled in the king bed. Hopefully the pull out gets an upgrade in the near future. Had our kids been any older, it would have been an issue. I guess I would also add that the security personnel on duty in the parking garage for the last few days of our stay was TERRIBLE. In just our first visit to the garage we watched her aggressively leave her booth and yell at three separate families. The parking pass we were given had a space number assigned on it and when we asked her about it to clarify, she berated and yelled at my husband while marching towards him and waving her arms around. We observed similar behavior for 3 days and let the front desk staff know. All in all, we would rent this unit again in a heartbeat with the hopes of a couch pull out upgrade and different staff manning the garage.

This condo was just in the perfect location, honestly a five minute walk to the beach. Easy parking which was great for the Jeep we rented. Everything is within walking distance or a short drive. Plus reaching out to the rental company was extremely easy despite any issues, next time we're in Oahu we'll be renting from them again.

Reviewer Comments: On the plus side—many things—good Wi-Fi, good A/C, appliances work well, plenty of towels, reasonable number of dishes, beach gear included (chairs, small board), clean, check-in procedure was very quick and we got good attention from Byron who delivered our credentials.We also had a car breakdown in the parking structure. Our property managers were very responsive and offered us time to work out getting the car out of the structure after we checked out.There are some maintenance issues that we mostly ignored:1.) Towel bars are loose and pulling away from the wall over toilet and on opposite wall. 2.) Toilet paper holder is not well fastened to cabinet. Single support design is unfortunate for public accommodation. 3.) One of two bathroom GFCI receptacles—left side—does not work. Seems like reset and test buttons are stuck. 4.) Clock in bedroom is not usable. We set it before we leave for the day, but when we return, it’s hours off. May need battery backup for momentary power interruptions, but bigger problem is the way entire wall of receptacles is wired to switch by door. May be convenient, but switch turns off everything on that wall. 5.) No issue for us, but there is a patch of wall in bath that is missing top coat of paint. 6.) Fold away bed is uncomfortable “hammock” construction, not one using a comfortable mattress. Bed in BR is, however, very comfortable.

My family visited Waikiki in late August. This condo is great! The location is only 2 blocks from the beach and has parking which is really important if you have a car. The nearest ABC is 1 block away but there are ABC's on pretty much every block in Waikiki. The condo had beach chairs, boogie board and an umbrella which was nice to have when we went to the beach. The only negative I would say was the check-in/check-out could be clarified with what needed to be done when we checked out and also that we could have just parked the car and gotten a ticket without having checked in to the condo first. It would have made that process easier. I would definitely recommend this condo. It was clean and perfect for our family.

I went to Hawaii with a friend and it was great from the beginning. The check in process was smooth, the room was exactly what was pictured on the internet. And the location is perfect. I really enjoyed walking just a few steps to the beach and they also had beach umbrellas and folding chairs which saved time and money.

Having a kitchen was very handy and the parking was also a plus. Linens were provided, unit was clean and bed was comfy. Very close to Waikiki beach and about a 10 minute walk to the International Market. Having a ABC nearby was also very handy. I would definitely stay here again.Captain Cook was also very attentive. We didn’t have to contact them during our stay as we didn’t have any issues. The only suggestion is to not have to call as soon as we land. While I appreciate the attentiveness and Bryon was super nice, I did incur long distance charges and I found that instructions to access the unit was already provided.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is updated, nice kitchen. Sofa could be cleaned or replaced, smells dirty. Tv in the bedroom did not work. obtaining a parking pass was a little tricky as the previous renter had taken it home with them. We ended up paying for parking one day, when we asked for a parking permit the staff wanted to know how long we would be staying inside the apt. On the last day of our stay we had to drive to the captain cook office to request a refund for the parking situation. Not a big deal, but none the less I didn't feel we should have to handle this while on vacation. The receptionist did not understand what I was explaining to him. upon our arrival home we received an email explaining our credit card would be refunded for the parking fees.

I LOVED THE FACT THAT THEY HAD A TOUCH KEY PAD, FREE PARKING, GREAT SERVICE, AFFORDABLE RATES, AND A QUICK WALK TO THE BEACH. THE CONDO OFFERED EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FOR OUR STAY. I WISH THAT THEY COULD PROVIDE A PLACE FOR US IN MAUI FOR NEXT YEAR. I RECCOMMEND CAPTAIN COOK TO EVERYONE. WHEN I COME BACK TO WAIKIKI. IM USING THEM AGAIN. LOVED IT!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very well maintained and well located. We particularly like the porch which gave a pretty nice view of the mountains and the water. There is a run down looking building right next door but if you don't look directly down it is fine. The lobby itself is a little tired (and the elevators kept breaking down) but it didn't affect our stay. We could walk to the beach and a lot of restaurants. The unit was very well stocked and had everything we could need. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. The management company was very responsible.

Reviewer Comments: Advantages: - Central location. 1 Block to major bus stops. 2 blocks to beach (and main restaurant/shopping strip) - Hotel contains pool, tennis court, small grocery store which includes some rental equipment such as snorkels etc - Bed was large king size and comfortable - TV good reception with satellite channels - Free Wi-Fi with good signal - Nice kitchen - fully stocked for cooking own food - Nice balcony - Good air-conditioning system, slightly noisy - Free beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, boogie boards, and beach mats to use. - Double glazed windows so no road noise. - Laundromat on each floor - however couldn't download app to pay for as only allowed on US sim cards. was $1.50 and only accepts quarters. - Looks like couch is a fold-out bed Disadvantages: - Cotton shower curtain (floor got very wet, curtain never really dried) - Air conditioner slightly loud (no bother to us but if you're a light sleeper it may affect) - Lighting not great - no roof lighting, only lamps which didn't really provide a great deal of lighting, especially in the bedroom. No easy switch for lounge area lights - had to use lamp directly. - Kitchen has zero condiments (no salt, pepper, sauce, oil for cooking, washing powder, etc). Did have a starter tea and coffee kit. Overall was a great experience. No "woman's touch" to apartment to make it homely. For the price, it was what we expected. However, if we were to do it again, we would probably pay a bit extra for something a little bit more polished.

Beautiful place and so homely. Everything was clean and close to everything. AC was nice because of the heat. Under ground parking a plus. Having a BBQ saved us money instead of dining out every night we Had BBQ instead. Byron was fantastic.
