The condo is very comfy, and it has all the facilities that you might need on the trip. Robert was pretty helpful, we accidentally got locked out because of the date settings on the security key, but Robert was able to respond and resolve within an hourA/C doesn't work all that well to cool the entire property, but the fan kept us cool

Loved the location and the overall feel of the condo and surroundings. The condo was very much as pictured and very comfortable. We had beautiful weather but never used the A/C because the fans let us enjoy the tropical breezes. Robert was a great host and and answered any question we had promptly. It was a short walk to Charley Young Beach which is our favorite. Sunsets can't be beat. Wonderful grills for cooking out.The pool area is beautiful with lovely greenery but we wish it had been heated. Quite chilly to enjoy it.Overall it is a great place and you can walk to many restaurants and shopping areas and best of all, the beach! We would love to stay again when we return to Maui.Gail F.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lanai is very private, quiet property and the pool is meticulously maintained and a bonus when the winds kick in. We would definitely recommend this unit.

Short walk (5min) to Charlie Young Beach. Easy walk to Kalama Triangle with great locals. Condo was great. Robert has it stocked with the necessities we needed (beach chairs, cooler, cook ware, coffee maker and even had laundry soap, condiments and some items that it was great we didn't have to buy as we wouldn't use more than once or twice. Did not use use the pool as the beach was so convenient. Great stay. Looking forward to our next trip back to Robert’s condo.

My son and I traveled to Kihei for a Mother Son trip. Upon arriving we were greeted with a text message from the manager welcoming us and just making sure our check in went smoothly.
The space was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was equipped with everything i needed to make breakfast and other meals. The linen closet had plenty of towels and fresh sheets if needed, and they also had several options for the beach coolers, chairs, etc.
I travel to Maui yearly and i was very impressed with the fact I DIDN'T SEE ANY BUGS!!! Being a tropical island there's usually 1 or 2 reasons to scream and grab a slipper. This time we didnt have to.
Everything was wonderful, I am kinda spoiled when it comes to mattresses and i WASN'T impressed with their's. But it was quiet, clean, right next to everything, the heart of Kihei really. We hope to come back once the healing has happened and things have settled. God Bless Maui.

Robert's property is centrally located and close to most of the places you are likely to visit on a trip to Maui. The place has a kitchen and has a very good bang per buck. We spent most of time outside and used this place to crash at night and it did a great job for this purpose.

This condo was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. An 8 minute walk to a swim in the ocean, close (easy walking distance) to beaches, restaurants, and services (by service, I mean an excellent cinnamon roll bakery). You’ll see a glimpse of sunset over water from the balcony. Hibiscus garden and singing birds added to a wonderful Maui experience. We would stay again.

I have been coming to Kalama Terraces multiple tines a year for the last 8 years usually renting various friends condos. This is my first experience with renting this condo. Our stay was wonderful as all my stays at Kalama Terraces have been. The only issues I had were the communication with the condo manager. We were standing at the door with our luggage and food not able to enter because the code was not sent to me. After several calls the manager answered and we were able to enter. The manager said he has had health issues and inadvertently missed this vital point. Once in the condo’s blow up mattress that we were to use for my granddaughter would not hold air through the night. It had to be blown up three to four times during the night. I ended up buying a new blow up mattress to use. There was not sufficient bedding so I had to borrow from my friends there. Once all this was rectified we were able to enjoy our stay. I usually travel alone and if I were the condo would have been fine. This condo is for a single or couple only not for three as advertised unless the sleeping arrangement is changed.

Good central location in Kehei. Robert was a good host and was very responsive. Wife and I are 45'ish so its not like we're young and roudy, but the complex has strict rules and quiet times (9pm to the minute the pool closes) so if you're looking to let your hair down a bit by enjoying the company of your spouse because you left the kids at home and then quietly listen to some tunes on your phone on the patio, the property manager will shut you down promptly at 10:01) Keep this in mind, not necessarily a knock but could be a selling feature, just know what you're getting yourselves into. I think the property is mainly for seniors but everyone staying there was super nice. Beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler were super handy. The complex is an older location so it showed some age but the room is still decent for the price but nothing to write home about. Not a big deal because you're in Maui so what the heck are you doing lounging around anyway? Catch some zzz's and then get out early and enyoy the scenery. I just thank Robert for being on top of things and being a real nice guy.

The apartment was in the ideal location to shops, stores and beaches. With the keyless lock made it extremely easy to come and go. The apartment was stocked with beach chairs, snorkel gear and coolers.

We would definitely stay here again! It is in a prime location just a short walk to the ocean, beaches, shops and restaurants. Our favourite part about the place was the outdoor space for eating, drinking, or hanging out. Great place for your morning coffee and reading to start the day. We loved our stay! It's not a resort, you get a small taste of Maui life. First a few I wishes'. I wish the TV's were a bit newer. We stream and were able to connect but it was a bit of work. I wish the bed was king size.
Communication with Robert was outstanding and timely!! The unit is as pictured. The kitchen is VERY well equipped and the pass thru window to the Lania is great. We enjoyed the pool it's bath water warm and very clean. Just book it, you will be very happy!

The apartment is located in an kind of old complex. Amenities are good. The owner went to the apartment to help me with the TV controls. It was very kind of him. The appt. has beach stuff. Very nice. The place is located near everything in Kihei. Super. The owner should replace the sofa and pay more attention to the cleanliness of the place.

Only negative was being locked out with the code not working. We slept in our rental car the first night after popping out for groceries until the owner gave us a new code.
It’s evident the property is older and could definitely use a deep cleaning. It has all you need with chairs and boogie board. Coolers are very handy. Location is excellent with access to many beaches, restaurants and shops. We did not need to use the air conditioning. Lots of fans and using the screen doors to let the breeze blow through is nice. We struggled with the TV so really couldn’t use it at all. But who goes on holiday to watch Tv??
The bbq area at the pool is five star. We did use the laundry facilities as well. We would definitely rent this unit again.

Very clean! Great location. Quiet (mostly - see below). Easy access. Well stocked. Comfortable. Sunset views.
We walked to breakfast and dinner. We walked to Foodland. We walked to Starbucks! We walked to the beach. In other words, the location is great. You should still have a car as traveling to other places on the island kinda requires it. [We had no problem renting a car on Maui.]
There were beach towels, beach chairs, and a boogey board available. The pool, although a little bit chilly, was very nice and refreshing on hot days.
My only negative would be the louvered windows - especially in the bedroom. They are not very sound proof. HOWEVER, the complex is very quiet at night so this was not a huge issue. A couple of mornings, people who were leaving early for the airport could be heard with their roller bags clicking by our room. [My wife slept through this so they weren't super loud.]
Also, there is no elevator but it is only one flight up.
Again, we would definitely stay there again.

The area was nice with a lot of food and beach options around, but the apartment itself was pretty dirty, our feet would end up black after walking around barefoot and we killed a ton of cockroaches, some that even ended up getting in our stuff in the bathroom.

The condo is right across from the beach and has lots of nearby restaurants and grocery stores. The location was fantastic. The neighbors were a bit rude (I'm assuming they don't like tourists). However, DO NOT BOOK ON EXPEDIA! This property is listed on a different website that expedia doesn't communicate with and we got zero checkin information. We showed up at the address with no idea what unit we would be staying in or how to get in. Sent multiple emails and calls the day before and never got an answer. Wasted 2 hours tracking down the resident manager who was then able to contact the manager of the specific unit for us in order to get it resolved.

Condition of furniture was excellent. Comfortable. Pool was not overcrowded with people wanting to know where we were from. Close to everything, walking distance. Quiet most of the time. Lots of noisy garbage trucks at 5am in vicinity. Instructions on how to change door combination lock was not in guidebook. Also, no instructions on how to use television. Overall, very nice and worth the money. We'd stay again.

Really happy with our stay here -- I'd definitely recommend to others and I would stay here again. The unit felt very clean and was nicely re-done. Kitchen had everything we needed and we oh-so-loved the gas stove. Location was great – quiet at night and made it easy to walk to restaurants / cafes or a short drive everywhere else. Robert was an attentive host and checked in our first day to make sure everything was going OK. The only thing I’d say is the bed was a tad on the firm side for my liking, but really not a big deal and I still slept very soundly after long days at the beach. Thanks for the great stay!

My husband and I moved to Maui with our 2 cats and Robert’s condo was pet friendly. Robert was always available, friendly, and gave us info useful for our relocation. We loved the condo’s location, as it was close to everything, yet quiet. The rooms were very clean and organized. If you have pets I recommend you stay in this condo and be sure to bring your latest vet records in case the condo manager needs them. Everyone is very cool there!!!

Robert's condo was very clean and conveniently located to many stores, restaurants and shopping. It's a very short walk to get to the beach and enjoy spectacular sunsets. Although there is a pool in the complex, I did not use it.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals. The stove is gas for people, like myself, who prefer to cook on a gas stove.
The best part is the fact that there is an A/C unit in the condo keeping it nice and cool in the evening. The mattress in the bedroom is very comfortable and I slept like a baby the whole night.

Robert’s condo is centrally located in Kihei, 5 mins away from beautiful beaches and a short walk away from food/shopping/entertainment inboth directions. We stayed for 10 days and the space was very comfortable and had everything we needed if we wanted to make dinner in. The bed was comfortable and the complex was relatively quiet. As other reviewers have noted, the sound does travel quite easily within the complex, so a few time we were awoken by people walking up and down the stairs directly outside the unit, but overall this was a great place to stay and we would certainly consider it again! Thank you Robert for your hospitality!

Stayed here for two weeks. The unit was nicely decorated and it is close to Charlie young beach. Had no complaints with the owner or the unit itself. Robert was helpful and replied quickly to questions. The only thing I can say negative is about the cranky neighbour. She gave us a death glare when we were talking in the walkway with friends at about 10 in the morning. Perhaps she sleeps in and it obvious she likes no outside noise. Once we figured out just to keep all our interactions with friends staying in other units to the pool area, she was fine. Would defiantly stay again.

The condo was easy to find, and ready for us at the appointed time. Well equipped with everything necessary for a great 2 weeks in Kihei! It is an easy 3 block walk to the beach, and walking or driving to all the restaurants and shops in the area was so handy. Being a block away from S. Kihei Road, we found it nice and quiet. The fans and air conditioning kept the place cool on hot days. We would definitely stay in this condo next time we come to Maui!

We absolutely loved this condo, it was stocked with snorkel gear, beach gear, first aid kit and even tupperware containers. It was clean and nicely furnished, loved being able to walk to the beach and stores in Kihei. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars was that it was a bit noisy. Unfortunately, the Hawaiian style of slat windows that don't close doesn't leave much room for privacy and we could often hear our neighbors and people walking by the condo. Western windows would be a great addition! Other than that, can't imagine getting a better deal here. Thanks for the great stay!

Easy check in. Everything was clean and modern. Could see the ocean from the balacony. Had all the conveniences of home. We had a relaxing time, although you couldn't predict the weather, no matter what the weather channel said. Don't base your activities on the weather because it may change. Just a helpful tip.

The owner Robert was very helpful and always quick to respond to our e-mails.
The building was older than we thought, but room was nicely renovated and tidy.
There are few beach chairs, a body board, parasols, beach towels etc...that we can use for the beach.
There are sufficient appliances for cooking meals, but the toaster was a little broken.
I gave one less star because the bed room shared a wall with the outside hallway and loud talking tenants woke up my 6 yrs old kid after 10pm on more than one occasion ;(
Beside that we had a great time in Kihei !

After a long search to find the right place to stay in Maui, we found the pearl ! Perfectly located and well furbished 1 bedroom apartment in Kihei. This is the place to stay in Maui nearby best beaches, shopping center, beach front and great restaurants and bars. Robert, the owner, is very helpful and provided us with all needed information for a great stay in Maui. Spacious, cosy, quiet, very clean, well furbished and located in a very well maintained residence. Rent a car to drive around the island, parking is free ! We hope to be back !

This is a clean condo within walking distance of south Kihei. It's also a great central location for all other activities on the island. The condo was renovated nicely, had clean towels and sheets, and had a smart tv to watch Netflix at night.
