My family stayed for a week in mid-December. The house was wonderful. We’ve vacationed in Maui for many years. I had to unexpectedly work from this lovely vacation home, but I can’t think of a better place to have done it than from the main deck. Ocean views all day long and the whales had begun their migration. We could see them from the deck, without binoculars. It turns out the owner and I have quite a bit in common, including shared interest in windsurfing and surfing. He recommended places to sail and what days looked favorable based on weather and surf conditions. I wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll return to this house on our next trip.

We had a great time. Loved the view from the living room porch, especially while listening to the birds in the morning, and watching the sunset at night. Just a few things that could use some improvement. It would have been nice if we had had access to the garage, so people could have accessed the lower patio and pool without walking through bedrooms. Would have also appreciated some shade near the pool. The stereo, which looked great and appeared to have speakers throughout the whole house wasn’t working. The wires appeared to have been mishandled by someone previously, and they needed repair, so no music in stereo sadly. Nevertheless, the house was well cared for and very comfortable. All the beds were comfortable amazingly! we would definitely consider it again for a vacation. We had a lovely time!

We had a fantastic time as the property was beautiful especially the views of the ocean every morning with our coffee. We had a family of 6 with two older kids (20’s) and two younger kids (11-14) and everything was exactly what we needed for everyone to be comfortable. The neighborhood was ideal due to its charm and proximity to the beaches and downtown Kihei. Mark the owner was very responsive and made things really easy for us! I would highly recommend this property!

There are a lot of stairs. The house is three stories, with bedrooms on the first and third floors, and you'll need to walk through one of the two bedrooms on the first floor in order to access the pool area (unless you want to walk around the house down a steep hill).
Also, the stairs are slippery. Three adults in our group slipped on the last step while going down to the first floor, and one of them was my elderly mother who ended up in the hospital when her fall resulted in a fractured pelvis. Consider this a warning.
The second and third floors of the house are beautiful and spacious. The two bedrooms on the first floor are a bit cramped and the air conditioner ices up if you set it below 75 degrees, which is okay but not as comfortable as I would've liked.
I hate to say anything negative about this property because it is beautiful and the pool is great, but I'm soured on it after my mom's fall, which pretty much ruined our vacation. If I could go back in time I would've passed on this place because of all the stairs.

We loved everything about this property. The pool and spa were used constantly, the beach toys/chairs were nice to have, and the outdoor bbq was a wonderful addition. We highly recommend this house if you want to be in Wailea, you will not regret it!

The whole experience renting and arriving at the property were amazing.
The view off the upper and lower deck overlooking the Ocean, watching the whales and the sunsets were also outstanding.

My husband and I took our two young boys (3&5) for our annual trip to Maui. This was the first time we stayed at Mark and Paige’s property. We absolutely enjoyed every moment of the trip. Having a pool ourselves and space for the boys to play and take quiet time was a dream. My sister and mom flew to meet us as a surprise, Mark was easy to communicate with regarding the changes to our party size. He was also very communicative about weather changes in Maui and what to expect with flights when severe weather impacts the island. We so appreciated his help. This house is great. We live to snorkel and the house was really close to several amazing snorkeling locations, such as Chang's beach, Ahihi Cove, McKenna landing, etc. Also there are some great restaurants within a 10 minute drive. The view of the sunsets from the balcony was spectacular. Mark was great. We had a few issues with getting all.of the paperwork from VRBO but Mark took care of it and was extremely responsive. Thanks again Mark for helping to make this a wonderful trip.

I did not read the contract thoroughly. Only the occupants on the contract could be at home. We had friends that lived in Hawaii that we wanted to have over and swim and have dinner with us. This was forbidden. Even cars that came over to pick us up for excursions were reported as a violation. House had red flying ants coming out of the lights in the master room to the point we couldn't stay there. Was asked to leave twice for them to spray for bugs. Washing machine broke and was told a new one would come in a few days, never arrived. Suntan lotion was on the cushions and the owner complained. It was over all my worst trip ever to Maui.

This stay was very special for my family and I. The house was very clean and had all that we required. Will never forget eating dinners on the balcony with that view of the ocean. Also the pool was very clean and very nice as a complement to the beaches. Communication with the owner was prompt and the welcome binder answered most of main questions. Overall a great stay and would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in a nice house near the best of south Maui.

We just returned from an 8 day stay at this beautiful property. We were a group of 6 adults and the house was plenty spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice size laundry room. The location on Maui was perfect for us, as we spent our days exploring the island. Having beach chairs and umbrellas available for our use was a great perk and made our beach days much easier. We loved jumping in the pool in the late afternoon when our adventures were done for the day. WIFI speed was just fine, even with 6 devices in use. Quiet neighborhood. Would love to stay here again!

We could not have asked for a more magical spot stay in Maui. The location is very close to the best beaches. Our favorite was Makena and Wailea. Every night we had a sunset view of the ocean and during the day we’d lay by the pool if we weren’t at the beach. Home has beach chairs and towels, and the kitchen items you will need to cook. I’d buy some good snorkel gear and pack it before you come! Mark was a great host! We will definitely be back!

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in this house. We loved the location and the house is exactly as it appears in the pictures, yet somehow more spectacular in person. This house was perfect for our group - the young children had plenty of safe areas to explore and loved having a pool in the backyard. We loved staying in a quieter area away from the resorts, and the location was extremely private. The house was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We just spent a week here and had a great time. Property is in a nice neighborhood and a great location. There were 3 couples, and we used the pool and hot tub daily. We did not have any issues with the Wi-Fi other people had mentioned. Mark was a great host and was very flexible with our stay that was much appreciated. The only small issue was the pool was around 7 ft deep so it was difficult to just hang out and have a drink. There were a few pool toys but they need replaced badly. We would highly recommend this place and would stay here again when we go back.

My adult kids and I had a week together in the most incredible setting! We watching multiple lightning shows over the ocean from the Master bedroom! As far as the weather we didn’t let it affect our journey or adventures! The property was as shown and probably even more lovely in terms of the view. The main upstairs bedroom was an oasis with another stellar view. We even saw whales blowing and breaching from the deck. The pool, hot tub were very well used by our group and the mid level deck boasts a lovely outdoor ( basic ) kitchen, great dining room table and lounge area. The place was so nice it was hard to leave for our daily adventures but we did and the beaches and restaurants were very close by! So so quiet… birds of every sort entertaining us each morning. The downstairs bathroom is a bit tired and one of the bedrooms a bit small for an adult couple but manageable. Mark was lovely and easy to communicate with. Perfect family destination.

We had a 3 generation family vacation -- 4 adults and 2 kids. Very comfortable home with spa and pool. Super clean. Close to numerous activities including beach, snorkeling, kayaking and hiking. Very responsive host. We cooked at home almost every night and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. One of the highlights was sitting on the balcony and watching the sun set over the Pacific. We could also whale watch from the porch. We would rent this home again without hesitation

I'll start off by saying the property itself is beautiful, true to the listing, and Mark was kind and communicative. The day we arrived was sunny and we got to enjoy the pool and a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately, the rest of the trip happened to land on the week Maui experienced some of its rainiest days in recent history which led to a flash flood the 3rd day of our trip that tore through the backyard, and completely flooded the pool, causing a lot of damage to the property and surrounding area. It was a huge bummer to lose the pool for the trip and have all of our planned activities (Luau, snorkel trip, golfing, outdoor dining) canceled due to the extreme weather but that pales in comparison to personal safety and property damage. We were all fortunately safe, but it was scary and we feel so badly for Mark and the other affected owners who will have to deal with the aftermath. I hope they can recover from it quickly so they can get back to enjoying such a beautiful home and pool!

Our family stayed for 9 days and enjoyed the beautiful house and environs. Each morning was a pleasure, sipping coffee and staring off at the ocean and Molokini. By far, the upstairs bedroom was exquisite. So large, comfy, with a sumptuous bathroom. The two lower bedrooms had the pleasure of being just steps from the pool. Although most of our days were spent snorkeling and hiking, Meakalia was a great place to rest our heads each evening.

Really lovely house with incredible panoramic views. Very well equipped property, perfect for our group of six. Photos don't fully capture how attractive and relaxing it is. The pool, outdoor kitchen and patio, outdoor shower, and spacious main living area were all great. Mark was prompt to reply and very attentive to making us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at such a magical place. We traveled with our three small boys and we all enjoyed the amazing pool and adventures on his large property. My boys loved swimming, catching geckos and lizards, and frog hunting at night. The master room upstairs has a large walk in closet nook and pack n play that was a perfect room for our baby to sleep in. We had such a special time and made amazing memories. This house is absolutely amazing! Communication with the owner Mark was incredible and the experience from when we booked it to when we left could not have been better.
Stayed for a week with our 2 teenagers and had an incredible time. It felt like our own private resort and nobody wanted to leave. The pool and hot tub were awesome and secluded in total privacy. Huge deck looks out to pool and ocean and perfect place for sunsets, as well great seating area outside on first floor overlooking pool as well. Amazing views from inside as well. Great outdoor kitchen and shower area too!
Location is perfect - 5 minutes to Wailea beach and access to everything. We finished our vacation at a resort, and wish we had just stayed at this house longer!

This property is elegant, nicely maintained and has a terrific view of the ocean. The pool area, below is private and very clean. The property is quite big with lost of room and privacy. The house has 3 stories, the uppermost houses the master bedroom, the main floor has the balcony with the view kitchen and living area. The lower floor has two bedrooms and is the entrance to the pool area. The living room was great as it has all sliding doors , to see the outside as well as makes the house bright and lively. AC and Wifi worked well as did the TV and kitchen stuff. We had a great time here!

It is really difficult to leave this house. Between the view, the pool and warm breeze on the deck, we had trouble pulling ourselves away the entire week we spent here. Such a great house! Everything was easy from arrival to departure. We had no issues at all. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. How do you describe paradise?? If there were enough words to describe paradise they would apply to this property. We are a family 5 which included a 16 month old. The house was perfect for our family. The little guy had plenty of room to run back and forth through the living area and he thought the spa was his own private pool. We all loved having our own pool and it was always clean and inviting. We all appreciated the privacy and quietness of this property. The views from the upper deck were amazing! All the amenities that one would need were on the property. We have stayed at condos on other vacations but this house is the best by far! The owner was more than accommodating and was always available to answer our questions. My family and I hope to return to this property in the near future. It was the BEST vacation ever!

We recently stayed at this beautiful home for 8 days. We are frequent visitors to Maui and this was our best trip yet (despite traveling with two toddlers, ages 3 and 1 1/2)! I would highly recommend this home- it had more then enough space for our family of 4, fully stocked with everything you'd need for cooking dinner at home, enjoying days at the beach, lounging by the pool, etc. We have so many favorite dining spots in South Maui, yet were torn every night with leaving the beautiful deck to go out for dinner. We did spend several nights cooking or eating take out so we could watch the sun set from the house. We have rented many properties on Maui and this was by far our favorite. The owner was great to work with and was available for any questions we had. We hope to be back soon!

We stayed at this beautiful house for 34 nights and we were thrilled with the views, outdoor space, the pool and the gorgeous yard. The house had all the comforts we needed, lots of space for our family 4 adults and 3 grand kid( one baby).The house was clean and we did have a mid- stay cleaning done as we were there over a month. We had communication with the owner over some minor concerns and he got back to us promptly by e-mail.
The pictures are accurate on the website but they don't do justice to the outstanding views from the upper deck. The whole back of the house is a wall of glass facing the ocean. The sunsets are breathtaking and having coffee in the morning, watching the whales spouting was very nice. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking your own meals and there is a nice new Gas grill. The beds were comfortable but the linens could use replacing. Towels were plentiful and in good shape. Washer and dryer are high capacity so no need to overpack. The yard has matured since the photos were taken and the flowering bushes around the pool and plumeria trees were coming into full bloom. So pretty....
This was our 15th trip to Maui over the course of 29 years and we had never rented a large property before,usually just condos in Kihei.It was an outstanding vacation having family join us for an extended period and would highly recommend this property. This house is absolutely beautiful. The pictures are accurate and depict the house exactly as described. There were a total of 5 adults staying in this house and we felt as though we had plenty of room to relax and not feel cramped. Each of us remarked that the beds were comfortable and that the house had every amenity that we could need; the extra touches to this house make it feel very comfortable. Special points: the outdoor shower came in handy, the outdoor grill made for a great steak dinner night, and the pool and Jacuzzi were extremely relaxing. And the sunsets off the deck were stunning! If we ever find ourselves lucky enough to be in Maui again, then we will definitely contact Mark & Paige to stay in their beautiful home again!

This is an amazing piece of property and house to stay in if you are in South Maui. My family vacationed in Maui for a month in this house and it couldn't have been more perfect. The pictures are true depictions of the house and the views are stunning, especially at sunset. The owners are very accommodating and easy to work with. My wife and two kids stayed for a week. Owners were very easy to work with. House is all it says it will be and more. The views are awesome morning to evening. This is a quiet neighborhood and it is easy to get to beaches and town. We would stay again if in south Maui.
