Welcome to Kauhale Makai 523. This fully remodeled 1 bedroom Kihei condo offers beautiful upgrades, coastal vibes, & a partial ocean view. This 5th floor condo can accommodate 3 people & has central AC to stay comfortable year round. There is free parking, free wifi, & everything needed to feel right at home. You're just steps away from the ocean and beach area at this resort. In addition this resort also has a pool, hot tub, BBQ, & large grassy area. Make your Maui memories at Kauhale Makai.
The Layout:
Bedroom: King size bed, central AC, ceiling fan, window coverings, dresser, usb phone chargers, closet space and ensuite bathroom.
Bathroom: Beautifully remodeled bathroom with custom walk in shower, toilet, & single sink vanity.
Common area: Fully remodeled kitchen with upgraded stainless appliances, Smart TV with cable, sofa sleeper couch(for 1 adult), central AC, ceiling fan, dining table for 4, and sitting chair. There is beach gear consisting of beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler(NO snorkel gear).
Lanai: Bistro Table with seating for 3
There is a coin laundry room located on the 6th floor for guest use. Stay Aloha provides a generous essentials "starter kit". This is already in the condo waiting for you and includes laundry pods, fabric sheets, 16oz luxury organic bath, and kitchen essentials. We do not drop extra essentials. Every vacation rental is different. We provide much more than most hosts on the island. There is an Aloha welcome gift for you upon arrival as well.
Parking is free. We do have a $75 Damage Insurance Fee that covers up to $1500 in damage for our guests. Accidents happen and we have you covered.
It's all about the location... Offering amazing sunsets, canoeing/kayaking, swimming, kite surfing, those long walks on the beach and spectacular seasonal whale watching. Kauhale Makai features direct beach access beyond the grassy area, pool, hot tub, BBQ area, elevators, and free onsite parking.
PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control services for pests such as ants, roaches, and rodents however they cannot be completely controlled in this part of the world. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents, and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Our units are cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. Kauhale Makai is in a great central location with beach access right behind the resort. There are several restaurants, shops, and activities in the area heading south on Kihei Rd.

We had a great time using the condo as a home base for the beach and nightlife.Pool was nice. Pool was a bit crowded.Condo was nice to just relax and watch the whales.

Myself, my husband, and our 1.5 year old stayed in the unit. The check-in process was simple and straight forward since the property management company provided a booklet with necessary information. Unit was clean when we arrived. As there were three of us, three beach towels would have been nice. There was a storm the day after we arrived so the entire complex was extremely dusty and especially the balcony. Unit didn’t have a vacuum so no matter how often we were sweeping the unit always felt dusty. What was provided in the kitchen was the basics except no strainer and the Tupperware provided was terrible. We ended up buying our own to use. The knives were rusted so we also bought our own set of knives.Property management company gave one days notice that a technician was coming to fix the dishwasher. My toddler was sick so I replied asking them to reschedule but they didn’t reply. The next day, during my toddlers nap, a technician came by and I asked him to reschedule with the property management company. The day we were checking out, on Friday at 10:20am, while we were still moving our bags to our car our door code did not work anymore. We called the host multiple times and had to leave a message as no one picked up. Eventually we got a new code and could finish moving our things. Nice unit. Good location. Bathroom is very small. Management company is lacking when it comes to communication with guests so would not rent from this property management company again.
