My wife and I stayed here for a week and found the condo to be perfectly located to be able to easily tour between the South and North shore of Kauai. The condo is quite cute and looks better in person than what is described in the photos. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to the Coconut Marketplace and also a hidden gem restaurant called the Sleeping Giant Grill. Also much thanks to Brenda for all of the thoughtful communications we had in coordinating our stay.

My husband and I stayed here a week and absolutely loved it. Place is located right by a farmersmarket and shopping. Condo is located in the middle of all the things you would want to see and do. Brenda the host was the best. She was so helpful to my husband and I with traveling times. Condo has cute decor and very clean. We will definitely stay here again. Location is perfect whether you’re driving around time or looking to walk down to the beach. Also a quick walk to grocery stores and a ton of local eats.Brenda’s place is very well stocked and the check-in process was a breeze! Highly recommended.

This property had a well-stocked kitchen, effective air conditioning and the entire property was nice and clean! The beach is right opposite and is about 200 meters away. Overall resort was also well maintained with lots of greenery, friendly cats and some hens :).
More than anything the host, Brenda, was so wonderful. She was quick to respond over email, text and phone. She was also extremely caring and went the extra mile to make sure my elderly parents were comfortable at the property!
I will definitely stay at this property when I visit Kauai next!

First I would like to thank Brenda (owner) for understanding our need to check out 5 days early and fly back home. It seems that the corona virus really took off fast, and after being in Kauai for over three weeks, we felt we needed to get home safely. Another Thanks for refunding some of our payment so quickly....I found it was refunded the day we left. Kauai is a beautiful island, and I hope they can recover from this loss of tourism. The condo was really clean, the recliner was perfect, it met our needs for our vacation (Feb. 22 ~ Mar. 18, 2020). The ONLY negative was the ugly fence across the road. I think it was put up a few years ago for a planned resort/complex, but there must have been a change of plans. It's really an eyesore. The Plantation Hale complex is well maintained, workers for very helpful & friendly. It was nice to have the Coconut Marketplace right next door, and Long's drug within walking distance. We stayed at Plantation Hale for a couple weeks. It was a good central location. And the best part was the farmers market next door. The condo had most everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy.

My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit to Kauai and a lot of it was the wonderful place we stayed at.... very easy after a late landing to find, super easy to get into- no long wait or confusion- absolutely spotless and exactly like the pictures- everything!!! We needed to stay for 5 days and enjoy Kauai!!! Location was great for our first visit to the island. So convenient to have Coconut Market place literally just a short walk away- and that store has EVERYTHING!!!
Checking out was just as easy for us as checking in... thank you for a delightful place to stay!

This property was lovely and very clean. It was a great location to explore the island from. The owner never sent check in instructions, even when requested, and the front desk struggled to find the necessary information to check me in initially. I was also unable to find checkout instructions and was unsure what to do with things like bed sheets and used towels when leaving. Other than those things, this was truly a great place to stay and we had a great experience!

If you are looking for a home base to experience the entire island this is the place to be!
When you drive to the North shore as well as the West side sights like Kokee and Waimea State Parks, you want to be centrally located. We stayed here for 9 nights and it was a great location. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with things like spices, utensils, lots of towels, a hair dryer, sunscreen if you forgot yours, etc.
The house was clean, the shower head amazing, and the bed was comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in Kauai from our home base at this condo. The pool and hot tub are nice and close, as well as Coconut Market. Lots of beach supplies and extra towels came in handy. Fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals. Only minor complaint is that a couple of things were broken (owner has been alerted), but these were minor and did not take away from our overall enjoyment. Thanks again, Brenda!

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at Brenda's condo. The unit is part of the Plantation Hale Suites hotel which is conveniently located next to Coconut Marketplace and a short drive south of numerous shopping centers--so you're never too far away from groceries and dining options! The convenience of getting to downtown Kapaʻa and around the island in general was a huge bonus. As others have mentioned, traffic gets a bit congested in this area, but the delays are hardly noticeable when paradise surrounds you.
The unit and property both came as described. The unit was clean, updated, and offered the perfect amount of space and amenities for a week-long stay for two. There are two wall AC units which cool the place down quickly when in use. We loved having access to the pools and hot tubs. Some other noteworthy bonuses:
- Before our trip we were warned by friends who had visited the island that the roosters would offer an early wake up call so "bring earplugs." We didn't hear them once at the condo. They don't seem to congregate here. More often, we noticed siren noise. (Which didn't bother us since we live in a city.)
- This property is included in the route for the complimentary bus ride to/from Smith's Family Garden Luau.
- Ample parking if you're renting a car.
The only issue we encountered during our stay was unclear check-in instructions. After our 6 hour flight, we were eager to get into the unit and relax. When we checked-in at the front desk, the staff didn't seem to have been notified of our stay so we couldn't get the keys. We ended up waiting for an hour until Brenda confirmed our reservation with the front desk. At the time it was an inconvenience, but in the grand scheme of our stay it was just a little hiccup.

The host was very easy to communicate with and quick to reply to any messages.
The unit is very clean and the bed is comfortable. Close to Safeway and Longs Drug Store and good location to travel north or south to see other attractions of the island. Having three pools was a bonus as it was always easy to find a pool that was quiet. Spas were very warm and had good jet pressure. We enjoyed our stay very much on the beautiful island of Kaua'i.

My wife and I traveled to Kauai for work, and decided to spend a couple extra days alone after our conference.
The condo was clean and comfy, and a very fun place to relax for a couple of days. The property was quiet, had good facilities (pools were never too busy, and we played shuffleboard!), and is in a good location. It's in a good spot for exploring the island, and the nearby town of Kapaa is really cute and fun to walk around. If it's not too cloudy, you're just a short walk away from a gorgeous sunrise over the ocean.

This was our first time using HomeAway. We were very unsure of what to expect. When we arrived at the condo we were pleasantly surprised with the check in process. We just went to the front desk and they handed us the keys. When we arrived to Brenda's condo (G8), I was surprised by how great and how well stocked the condo was. The pictures do not do this condo any justice. It really is very charming and well decorated.
Brenda was great too. If we had any questions or concerns she addressed them quickly. Thank you Brenda for making our first time using HomeAway such an easy experience. We will diffently be staying here again when we return to visit our Ohana.

All the comforts of home--very clean, lots of towels, beddings, A/C and fans in each room, kitchen has everything, nice pool, laundry room down the hall, friendly cat who hung around, friendly front desk staff. Not much of a breeze even though the ocean is a vacant lot away because there is a huge wall blocking off the vacant lot. You can walk across and get to the water but there is no beach there. Most of the beaches you must drive to. This was a perfect starting point for our daily island adventures.

The condo is exactly as described, well equipped and perfectly located for trips around the island. Bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need and it is only a short walk to the beach. Several restaurants are close by. We enjoyed our stay!

Had a wonderful time staying at here and would consider it again without question. The location was perfect for our needs - beach access, grocery and convenience store nearby, no road noise and friendly staff and neighbors. We met an employee in the evening at the pool and shared our extra mahi mahi filets we caught from our fishing outing earlier that day.
The condo was clean and nicely furnished and had everything we needed for comfort.

I have stayed in this condo for the last three years for extended stays. Owner has been great to work, flexible and responsive to my needs. Condo is very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Love its location close to beach, restaurants, market and activities in Kapaa area as well as a short drive to airport and other parts of this beautiful island.

First time to Kauai and didn't know which area was best to stay in, but as it turns out, Kapa'a is the perfect spot for proximity to the whole island. The condo was larger than it appeared online and was perfect in every way. If I had to pick one problem it would just be that you need better bed pillows. Kapa'a gets extremely congested with traffic because of all the people going between Poipu and Princeville, but if you stay in either of those places then you are that much farther away from the other, and you definitely want to spend time in both as well as Kapa'a. The condo has 2 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs, plenty of beach towels. It's in a great quiet spot in the complex. Pool and jacuzzi are nice. Can walk to the beach easily. For my experience, these are definite must dos: Waimea Canyon / Koke'e state park, tubing through tunnels and canals of the old sugar plantation, Holo Holo all day Na Pali coast with snorkeling near Ni'ihau island, Anini beach, lighthouse tour, Hanalei bay kayaking, happy hour drinks at Lava Lava beach club, dinner at Hukilau Lanai, macademia nut pancake breakfast at Kountry Kitchen, sticky buns at Passion cafe, cocktails at Kalypso in Hanelei bay. Things I would skip because they were mediocre/average: Tiki Tacos, food at Lava Lava beach club and Courtyard Kaua'i, Puka dog in Poipu, Smith's garden luau show. Went to Polihale - 5 miles on a very rough dirt road in a Ford Fiesta was a little challenging and not that great when there. Anini beach is breathtaking and I would totally rent a house there next time - best getaway spot on the island that I saw. Easy to get to, very secluded, miles of pristine calm perfect island beach with barely anyone on them. Poipu is ok but kind of too touristy. St Regis in Princeville poolside bar/food is WAY overpriced and average. Next time I visit I will focus on hiking, including at least part of the Kalalau Trail. Want to check out Ke'e beach but couldn't get a parking spot when I went there. Would love to go the Limahuli gardens and kayaking on the Wailua river. So yeah, the trip was great, and there is so much to do in Kauai, and the condo was the perfect jumping off spot for everything. Brenda was very accommodating and had great tips and suggestions and was also very responsive for help. Internet also works great because she has her own source in the unit. The condos are part of Plantation Hale, so there is a front desk to get help as well. Great stay!

Brenda was so kind to let us make a reservation very last minute. Our stay was brief but just perfect for our needs. She thought of everything for the kitchen - so completely equipped. It was our last place to stay before returning to the mainland and very conveniently located for returning to airport and close to grocery stores. We hope to return soon and would stay here again for sure!
