Our family enjoyed their stay . The beds are comfortable. We walked to the beach but couldn’t swim because of high surf and no sand. Close to Kona with lots of shops and restaurants.

Hi, this was a great air bnb for our family. Very clean, nice kitchen to cook in, excellent AC, easy parking, and very close walk to Magic Sands beach where you can watch beautiful big waves. While Magic Sands isn't the best beach for kids, it was an easy drive into town and to many great kid friendly beaches. We appreciated the booster seat and Pack N Play for our toddler. The owner was easy to communicate with and replaced something quickly when it broke. We are looking forward to staying here again!

We came to cheer on our son at Ironman. It was a very convenient spot for the race and to stay out of the melee of the event. The home was private, quiet, and very clean, had all cooking equipment for a large or small dinner. Get up with the birds. Easy, "secret" walk to the beautiful beach around the corner; faster to walk than to drive. Highly recommended.

Nice, clean, well-appointed property with an unbeatable location. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. There is plenty of beach gear to use, and the outdoor shower has hot water!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had our own personal code to enter the house, which is always a plus for security. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was within walking distance to the beach and a great location for a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We loved how detailed the labels were in the house. The host was super accommodating and communicated quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was in good shape,plenty of room for our party of seven to spread out. Magic sands was lacking sand during our week, but not much you can do about mother nature. It was still a nice place to watch the sunset from. Would definitely recommend.

The location was fantastic and the house was very clean. It had everything you would need for a long stay. The owner was so nice and communicated with me fast. The knob on the dryer broke and he let me know he had ordered the part and fixed it before the end of our visit. It was a 3 minute walk to Magic Sands beach. Greatness!

We had a great stay at this property! The cleanliness of the house was appreciated, the beds comfy and best of all it was a good location for all that we wanted to do while on the island. This property manager is also responsive and cooperative. When our trip was extended courtesy of the airlines, he worked with us to be able to stay the extra day.

Host was wonderful and responded to our needs immediately, when we had a minor issue with stove. Very helpful and was only a quick flip of a switch to correct problem. He even called back to check our issue was resolved and if we might need anything else. Great location, close to water and peaceful neighborhood. Would stay here again.

Great house, even better than the photos! Clean and well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Easy 3 block walk to a beautiful beach, covered parking, and communication with Hal was excellent. We travelled with a <1 yr old, and he was able to use the High chair and pack'n'play, much appreciated! The only small issue was it was a bit confusing as to where the door code was the first day, but the upstairs neighbors showed us.

The location was amazing and close to the beach. I was a bit surprised on the rules of the house. I understand it's a duplicate and there is someone upstairs, but was not aware of the quiet hours that are clearly stated Over and Over. I was also surprised on the cleaning upon exit, I understand cleaning up after myself but it kind of felt like we had to CLEAN the house before we left. I was just surprised, over all, on the amount of house rules.

Better TV info. Never did figure out how to operate the Mast BR TV. Seems like there older controls mixed in with newer. Corroded batteries found in one and in the extra battery box. How about a battery checker?
Knives are dull. How about a knife sharpener?
Screen door to lanai needs repair; there is a gap.
Bath in hall has dangerous, slippery tub/shower floor. How about a non-skid mat or decals?
How about a clothesline in the lanai or a rope that could be strung between the supports for drying beach towels, suits?
Instructions on how the stove lite and fan is accessed; it is not self-evident.
We know that the owner has no control over neighborhood noise but it was disheartening to hear very loud construction noise every weekday beginning early.
Otherwise, the house is roomy, attractive and comfortable.

Magic Sands Beach was very small and rocky. House was very clean and comfortable, but we were rationed with 4 total rolls of toilet paper and 3 ounces each of shampoo and conditioner. Seven laundry pods and less than 10 dishwasher pods were provided for 8 days. We bought more amenities, but had to travel around the island to get them. Just inconvenient…

Our stay was perfect for our needs. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and very easy to get to the airport, beaches, and everywhere else we needed to go.
Three bedrooms and 1 bath was perfect for our family of 5. There was a twin bed left empty so more vacationers would fit. We used the kitchen to cut costs by eating in at night. It was stocked with a lot of the basics (spices, etc) which was nice.
Overall, a great part of our week's vacation.

This place was great for 6 of us. 3 different couples.. everything aside from food was provided and plenty of extra towels and water toys. We didn't read in the listing that this was a duplex and was worried after receiving our check in instructions. However, you could barely tell there's someone/people up there and we didn't receive any complaints on our end! Thank you!

Beautiful location one block from the beach. This large home had everything. Fully equipped kitchen/laundry. Nice furnishings with big screen tv. Bonus game room. Plenty of space to spread out. In the backyard there is a large natural area that is full of singing birds! Plenty of beach toys and snorkel gear. Definitely would stay here again!

We loved our stay for a week at this property. The price, location, and quality of the property were excellent. The property was clean and well stocked for our needs. It was walking distance to Magic Sands beach for morning strolls and sunsets and close to Magic’s restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The owner also worked with us and was flexible and accommodating when we needed to store our luggage before heading to the airport on the day we departed. The owner communicated regularly and was very accessible by phone/email. The property does have tenants who rent above the property so it was important to keep the noise level low after 9pm but, for the most part, this worked for us who were traveling with youth and elderly. The only downside to that was being there during New Years Eve when we wanted to set off fireworks with others in the neighborhood, the upstairs tenants complained and so we had to join others in this Hawaiian tradition further down the street. That was the only unfortunate part. It would have been nice if they were willing to make an exception considering it was a special day and the following day was a Sunday when most businesses were closed and people were off work anyway in honor of January 1st and the New Year.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property it was easy to locate and less then a 5 minute walk to magic sands, it is also very close to many other beaches and lots of shopping! The Owner was very nice and easy to communicate with! It was very thoughtful to have a play pin and high chair for the little one! We really enjoyed our stay on big island and would highly recommend this location.

We had a problem on first arriving but it was resolved within ten (albeit frustrating) minutes. The host compensated us for that inconvenience which was nice. The house looks a bit more classy in the photos than it is in real life, but I think that is true of most rentals. As it happened, not all seven of us could come as planned; only five made it. It would have been a bit tight, but doable, with seven. The recreational gear available is in bad shape but we were able to cobble together two ( maybe three) sets of snorkel and mask that worked well. One boogie board was usable. Plenty of beach towels and other linens! Magic Sands beach is really just for surfing and watching waves or sunsets. A free trolley can take you to other places (the literature is old and says it costs $2 but it is free). We might well stay there again; it was a good place to call home for a week.

We had 4 people in our party, one of which is 9 and the rest adults. I loved how close this is to Magic Sands beach, where my son enjoyed the waves. It is also super close to great snorkeling just down the road, as well as near a grocery store. House had everything we needed. I'd love to come back and spend a little bit longer as we only spent 4 nights in Kona.

We enjoyed our entire stay of 8 days here. This place had everything we needed. There wasn’t anything we wished we had. It was close to the beach and there were lots of beach gear for us to use. The kitchen had everything for cooking food for our 15 month old. There was a high chair and a travel crib for her as well. We felt like it was our home for our time there!

This was the perfect house for our 3 generation family to stay in. Everything we needed was provided for except our food. The air conditioning was great to have. The back area was very secluded and peaceful. Walking distance to the beach was great.
